Racism against blacks, Hispanics etc. can be proven. You or anyone else here have yet to prove that racism exists against whites, or caucas despite having been asked on countless occasions. It's not up to me to prove YOUR point for you. However, in determining whether or not a hate crime (and for the most part that is what racism is) has been perpetrated against a white or Caucasian person you must first establish that the perpetrator has a problem with an identifiable race or just one particularly stupid person.

Are you suggesting that ordinary Canadians can't support aboriginal people on a legal issue because the government (and racists) supported the theft of lands and cultural genocide in the past? And are you suggesting that supporting the NAACP's rights to lobby for changes to legislation to promote equality is a biased position? Give your head a shake. What a dolt. I've made no attacks against anyone based on colour. If you want I can name a few "white" groups for ya.... Orange Men. Sons of Scotland Shriners (although they now allow people of colour they started out as an exclusive group.....but then again the NAACP also have people of colour operating under their umbrella too) There are many. You could take any one of them and ask them to lobby on your behalf. OR you could even create a similar group and get recognized as a lobby. What you cannot do is insist that your "white" group is any better or more important than another based simply on the colour of your skin.

Blacks are not a race. They are a group of people with similar cultural interests that have been targeted by racists, oppressed by government and society and have banded together to counter the effects of racism against them. The disabled in Canada have a similar lobby and have been successful at changing laws and attitudes that have presented barriers to their free movement in public buildings, in employer's premises and in equal opportunity. Perhaps you should start a racist thread about the gimps too and suggest that their disability makes it ok for you to discriminate against them for your own benefit.

No, I'm not ignoring anything. There are physical differences in all kinds of people. There are hair colour, eye colour, height, weight, age, physical ability, strength, mouth shape, boob shape, even buttocks. If you want to separate people, why not just focus on women with big butts and tell they they are inferior because of their posterior? There is no such thing as "race" scientifically or otherwise. By far the French are healthier than slothy Canadians. They eat more frequent meals, have less heart disease and are generally more fit. A system catering to a healthy population will naturally find more economies in the delivery of service than one bloated with patients filling the emergency rooms with cheezy and coke constipation. Certainly Canadians must take responsibility for our own health. However, we have opted to allow government to run the system and if prevention is not in their course of treatment (and mostly it is not) then they MUST pay whatever is needed to treat our diseases and ailments. That's what Canada is about.

Money IS unlimited. The government can tax you into poverty and there isn't a thing you can do about it. Health care requires money and as Canadians we have opted for universal health care. No compromises, just complete public health coverage for everyone regardless of income, status, creed or colour. IF YOU want private health care, move to the US. If not then just keep paying. it is likely you are not paying your share of the taxes anyway....

And this time instead of going wildly off topic suggesting I don't know what culture is, prove your point by proving the icons and traditions that make Canadians, or more broadly "white" a cultural entity apart from any other ethnic cultures that flourish in Canada. Everything Canada tries to define as culture is really borrowed from someone else. So show us what makes Canada distinct from say Hawaii where only the colour of skin separates the societal qualities you tried to assert belonged to white fellas. Private health care is far from cheap. The only reason it is faster is because it can exclude all those who need diagnostic services but can't afford them. On the other hand I would rather go to a public hospital where dedicated doctors and nurses are than to go someplace where the doctor is worrying about being late for a ski trip to Colorado trying to rush through open heart surgery. The point is the health care system can't run without money. And the last twenty years when ever the Conservatives have gotten in to office they have gutted it in exchange for tax cuts for their friends. If you want a quality shirt, you don't buy it a WalMart. Government MUST put sufficient money into the institution and let it provide services. While bean counters are looking for efficiencies, they could start by eliminating their own jobs for starters.

You've proven nothing. Those people are just as famous in the US and some overseas. They have nothing to do with "culture" let alone "white culture" especially since you have mixed Quebequois, Ukrainian, Aboriginal, etc. in the list. Icons are the symbols of culture. Such as poutine being a Quebequois cultural icon. There are no specific identifiable Canadian symbols that come close to identifying culture. Religion is religion. The majority don't define culture either. It has nothing to do with elections or majority rule. Culture is represented by long-standing traditions. Christmas and Easter are religious holidays. Of course if you are talking about Cinter Claus, St. Nicolas or any of the many borrowed iconic myths well then you know where this goes. We'd have to examine German and Dutch culture first to see if those traditions have anything to do with Canada. The Easter Bunnny falls into the same hole - a borrowed myth. Many of those dearly held religious traditions actually come from pagan rites. Religious traditions stem from the European dominance in Christianity and then we'd have to look to immigrants for bringing them here to Canada. Canadian culture is myth. No bitterness here. The system is terrible because bean counters (MBAs) have convinced government that the Health Care system should be run like business. They have done the same thing with other institutions like education etc. Institutions are not businesses. They are not designed to create profits and should be run like stogy and sometimes bloated government institutions. We must input money in to get good services out and I'll tell you I would rather have a doctor taking the time to put in as many stitches as needed to close a gaping wound then to lie there while he is deciding whether a band aid or crazy glue would do as good a job...just because a bean counter says it is cheaper. If you want cheap service then move to Mexico.
