  1. See the Geneva Conventions
  2. Agreed, but some poor people really don't mind being 'poor' (Poor in Canada being a very relative term to REAL poverty). Regardless, I only get angry with the poor one's who are poor and think it is their right to be suckling at the proverbial government teet. I have no issue with the dude who wants to live a spartan lifestyle for whatever reason, merely with the person who takes no personal responsibility and expects, nay, is proud of the fact that the government is there to pick up the pieces from their repeated poor, selfish decision making.
  3. That's because they are not child 'soldiers'. They are child wanne-be murderers, but not child soldiers, therefore that agreement does not apply. It is important that you are able to see this legal difference in order to understnad this situation
  4. He's a Russian citizen so he has a hard time viewing this conflict objectively. Canada was absolutely justified in helping t0 get rid of that murderer. The only countries who should be ashamed are the one's that were prepared to leave him in power.
  5. PC was the one who inferred that there was a huge moral difference in what Canada did in Serbia compared to previous wars. My point was that there was not much difference at all. We still went to war when our country was not directly attacked. I am glad that we did. I am merely pointing out the absurdity of his attempts to vilify the Canadian forces for being in Afghanistan. Perhaps if you spent less time tossing insults you would have better reading comprehension.
  6. Glad I made it last year. it was fun and I can attest that it brings alot of people into Montreal.
  7. Wrong, Corporations are legal entities in Canada.
  8. 'Neither' implies two. I gave you more than two. I think in WW2 Canada was an 'aggressor' of an independant country (ies) namely Germany and Italy.... And who started the Serbia conflict? Canada? Really? that's weird.. Also, 'Serbia' arguably wasn't an 'independant' country. Germany and Italy most certainly were... You may want to back-step now.
  9. Really? I guess they didn't teach you about the Boer War, WW1 & WW2 and the Korean Conflict in citizenship classes eh?
  10. Incidentally, Children have been shown to learn the difference above by as early as 2 years old.
  11. Well, throwing to the side almost 1000 years of civil law precedents, I agree. Someone walking across the street and getting hit by a bus and someone who is killed by a serial killer ...What's the Diff? The result is the same right? The are both dead. Why treat the serial killer any differently than the bus driver? I mean, the victim is still dead in either case right? Why does Justification matter? I'm just asking a question
  12. Ok, let me know when it's my week.
  13. except he's not saying to kick them out, he is saying to give them their own country. Amazing that someone would need to explain the difference.
  14. I see. must get kind of boring being the only person in your basement that is eligible for the committee. (assuming the hampster is not eligible.)
  15. So in your mind Taliban = Canadian Soldiers on your moral compass. You just view the Canucks as having a better PR machine? That about it? very deep!
  16. Ahh... That's called Socialist.
  17. He can't even tell when someone is blowing smoke up his dress. Thank goodness he didn't win. We dodged a bullet there.
  18. There, that's better. I'm glad you could clarify that in view of the fact that we have Canadian soldiers who post on this forum. You have done them a service. Just mind your language. meanwhile Omar will be tried where he should be - in Guantanamo, by the US government, for his alleged actions against a US Soldier while being an illegal combatant which means that the Geneva Conventions do not apply to him. Murderers at the age of 15 do not get a free pass, not even in Canada and certainly not in the US. And if found guilty, that is all he is - a murderer.
  19. Yes, yes. You hate Harper. ~yawn~
  20. Also, isn't the current relationship, in effect,, already a trial seperation? Think, Bill 101; Quebec Pension plan, code law, did not sign the charter.. etc etc. They pretty much already have their own country. Certainly, they have more economic latitude than do many countries in the EU. Why they would want to leave the sweet deal they have already??? Just goes to show that their 'argument' for seperation is based on emotion alone, not logic. They already have the best of both worlds from their perspective, although they don't seem to recognize it.
  21. Curious, so were the seperatists in 1995 all bigots too?
  22. Quebec didn't sign the 1982 constitution..
