  1. What if we shed religion totally but still embrace communism? Will He consider us 'grown up' then?
  2. I think that something that happens about 2% of the time can be considered an anomoly can it not?
  3. Not true - you made that up
  4. Not only did I read your link but I read between the lines. Yeah, right. The Afghanis were able to keep the Soviets out and now they need our training. Unlike you, I am not a sucker for military propaganda. Yes. Answer my questions. 1) What Afghanis are fighting? 2) Defend your poll. The methodology of this "poll" says that people were asked face-to-face. Do you think the pollsters sought the opinion of the people fighting too? You think the Afghani's view us like they did the Soviets? haha Military propoganda? yes, you are above all that. You just get suckered by the globe and mail eh? The media has been spinning the mission in a negative light for a long time now so instead of being above the propoganda, as you like to believe, you are actually a victim of it. 1) The Army and Police. You can even SEE them with your own eyes at youtube fighting along side of the CDN soldiers. 2) The poll goes against your beliefs. If you wish to pursue your line of reasoning as correct, show me a poll that supports your assertions. I have posted on that supports mine and cathme was kind enough to post another one that supports my assertion. ie: Me = 2 you = 0.
  5. Stop right there! Before you go any further. Let me get this straight: an overwhelming majority.... hmm...... Who is doing all of the fighting?????? I guess if "an overwhelming majority" support The Mission In Afghanistan!, we could just supply The Overwhelming Majority with arms, could we not??? -- but noooooooo, that is not what we want. God forbid we should let the poor Afghanis defend themselves. We want The Mission to go our way. I call your bluff. The methodology of this "poll" says that people were asked face-to-face. I am sure the pollsters sought the opinion of the people fighting too. Who is this World Public Opinion anyway? Sounds like a stupid name. Good post, and your corrct to call the bluff. Many things have changed in the last 13 months in Afghanistan. Pulling out a spurious poll that is over a year old does not constitute proof of anything in today's Afghanistan. Particularily in the face of information coming out of Afghanistan currently including from WorldOpinion .org, which of course the person posting this out of date poll did not provide, as apparently it doesn't suppport the premise they are trying to erroneously push. Overview of the latest Afghanis World Opinion Polls not the out of date one published prior You always like to prove yourself wrong? 62% want the nato troops there. Yet you don't supoort the mission because you think the majority DO NOT support the mission. My emphasis. Fess up or beat it.
  6. Dead people is the method I used.
  7. From the same site:
  8. Jackassery! She implied she didn't support the mission because the Afghan people don't support it. I supplied a poll that overwhelmingly suggests that they do. If she is true to her beliefs then she should now support it. If not, then she is a lecherous parasite.
  9. Honestly Charles Your babbling get's the best of you at times. I posted the link, you can find out who they are on your own, you are a big boy. They are helping them to do it 'on their own'. Canada is helping to train Afghani army and police everyday. Anything else?
  10. I trust that this will suffice: Link: http://65.109.167.118/pipa/articles/home_p...nt=155&lb=hmpg1 Now, so to be clear to others that you DO really care what Afghani's want, kindly get behind the CF's in Afghanistan. If not, all can clearly dismiss you as an ideological hack that is able and willing to play politics on the backs of our soldiers lives. You are a parasite if you still do not back the CF's in Afghanistan. Your call.
  11. CB, I think she meant to say 'Dykes'. Not sure what lesbians and drought have to do with each other though.
  12. Holy ego batman! are you seriously equating your 'feminist struggle for equal rights' in Canada on the same par as the Afghani woman's struggle? Do you realize how self agrandizing and pompous that sounds? Not to mention beign SERIOUSLY out of touch with the world? Perhaps you think that women in Afghanistan are better off under taliban rule than under Hamid Karzai? Please do extrapolate here. Irregardless of feminism in Canada haveing exactly ZERO to do with the Afghan struggle, please inform us of your 'feminist' view point.
  13. Apparently.
  14. from Saturn's link. haha
  15. Enjoy the Looney Tunes. Enjoy your fantasy world. Not one of the things I said you can prove otherwise, yet it's the looney tunes for me eh?
  16. but that is simply NOT a fact. In the past, CO2 in the atmosphere increased AFTER warming trends to suggest a symptom, not a cause. We don;t know what increasing CO2 before or during the warming trnd will do AT ALL. no one does. Your assumptions are just that. And they are very simplistic one's. You are not in kinsergarten anymore. all you are doing here is displaying the simplistic rationale in your beliefs. You were an 'easy sell'.
  17. Exactly and it's too bad really. Our Oceans need some attention
  18. No. Corporations need a "legal" status while real life does not. Tell that to an unborn child.
  19. Are you also anti-marxist? 'Nationalism' has killed FAR more people in history than religion ever has. Are anti-patriotism too? If not, why the double standard?
  20. Maybe he's a left footer? Do you have a problem with that?
  21. How clever. Equating salinity levels of the oceans with GHG's. That's neat how the global climate can be explained so easily when environment Canada can't even tell me when it's supposed to snow. Simplistic and ignorant. how typical.
  22. I think the maritimes and the thousand Island region of Ontario is prettier.
  23. Spain pulled out of Iraq. Of popular opinion doesn't rally in Canada, we could too. I agree it's absurd, but it's a reality.
  24. Ironically, India joinging the world's 'developed' economies will do more to stabalize her population that anything else. Once a country becomes 'Industrialized' the population growth dramatically slows. This has been borne out in every country that it has happened in. Agrarian societies are the societies that have out of control growth rates and contribute less PER CAPITA GHG's. what to do?
  25. BS. How Do YOU know it's unwinnable? It is, in fact, winnable and we are winning. The only reason that it would be unwinnable is for the majority of people in western nations to think like you and we pull out. The afghans are firmly in favour of us and Nato being there as is shown by poll after poll. We are doing much to reconstruct the nation as is shown by the results - if you bothered to look. A loser attitude like yours is in fact our biggest impediment to winning it. think about it. source: http://www.defenselink.mil/news/Jan2006/20060126_4015.html
