I find it encouraging that there are people willing to go back to try to rebuild Somalia which is so devastated by war when they could have,very easily, stayed in their adopted country and never looked back. Perhaps i am being naive to think they could,with their determination and skill and more then a little luck start to put Somalia on the right path to sustainability. Thoughts?

The fact that the U.S. has done this with their own coins was somewhat of a surprise to me,maybe it shouldn't have been ? Defence contractors? I believe gay people do have all the same rights. Besides it's not about homophobia, I don't see the point in having a parade. I agree with that point,consider how the gay right activists would be up in arms over a hetero pride parade. They would accuse them of flaunting their sexuality. Here in Ottawa,The Gay Pride parade is in danger of being cancelled this year because they still haven't paid their bills from last year and are lobbying city council for more cash.

If some of the infected people got AIDS as a result of the re-use of syringes without knowing that they were getting used needles, these convicted medics are certainly guilty of spreading disease. Really? Which social club is this? I find it really sad that just because people are atheist or agnostic that they refuse to recognize the benefits that organized religion can bring to our society. I find it really sad that some people's urge to oppose others makes them refuse to deal with what they actually say instead of making straw men. I did not say that no churches do charitable things. I said that those who use their 'charitable' donations primarily for themselves are not really charitable. My opinion of him is simply based on impressions of him that i gathered from news reports and such is that is simply a good but ineffectual man in above his head He has,i'm sure the best intentions but i fear that he not strong enough to halt the bloodshed. Saddam Hussein for his many faults,yes i know i'm vastly understating things but bear with me, was a strong and ruthless leader,but he kept the country together,even if it was the fear of his sheer ruthlessness that kept the peoples hatred of each other focused on him. In a country with a history of strong ethnic hatred,perhaps it takes a ruthless hand to keep things together,whether the price paid in lives and destruction is worth it is a question answered by more knowledgable and wiser persons than myself.

I'm curious.Why,oh why are gay right activists up in arms about this? All they are trying to do is make animals more viable for the farmer. The fact that they extropolate this to mean that gayness is a trait that may be able to be 'straightened' out just goes to show how bloody sensitive they are to any perceived attack to be as gay as they want to be,that maybe gayness as a biological trait is a threat to them.Who knows?

I wonder what his last thoughts were,i'll bet it wasn't for his victims,whatever it was I'm sure Allah will be there to escort him down to the Islamic version of Hell. There really isn't any punishment on earth for what people like him have done. That's one of the reasons i believe in divine retribution,else there would be no true justice,only God Himself can mete out the proper judgement.
