There is no point fighting these believers, they are already too polluted with their suppositious beliefs to try and talk to. When I die, I will find out what's next, until then, I will put down every religion, especially Christianity. Religion is robbing us, robbing us of everything, it's time we grow up and move into the future and leave that stupid little book called the bible behind!

Krustykidd Wants Me To Write How To Fix The World
Cameron replied to nova_satori's topic in The Rest of the World
Very good article NOVA, well done...that is how we should all think. We only have one planet, better get used to living with all these people. -
Does the bill say you can't use just HATE speech against gays, or if you say anything at all that is anti-gay you can get in trouble...?
-
You can say whatever you want....

Right on Black Dog. If anybody wants to pray in school, they can go to the basement and do it. I don't mind outside students and faculty praying, but if it ever leaked into the decision making of the school or institution, then I would have a big problem. Jean Chrétien said something very good last night on the CBC (one of the only good things I've ever heard him say). He basically said that he is a Catholic, when he comes to work he is a priminister of a country and he is to govern that country via the laws, etc., not his catholic beliefs.

I'm a PC member myself, and I think the government should recognize it. The churches can do whatever they want....Make legal to get married, by the state or if a church if it is willing.

100% agree!!! Government & Religion should not be mated with each other.
-
Perfect example....

Whats Happened To Conservatism
Cameron replied to Alliance Fanatic's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Who knows, I think it would be beneficiary, they are both right-wing parties. If they did join, we would give the Liberals a damn good run for the money. -
Mr. Farrius I am a non believer, I don't waste a Sunday supporting other forms of cults. I'm glad that I'm a Canadian, because I don't have to put up with the constant bickering about god and government. A government should be impartial, serving all peoples under it. When that government starts to take a religious side (AKA Bush Admin.) that is when you have to draw the line. My deep personal view is that ALL religion should be abolished. Religion is a virus, separating the human species, causing problems rather than solving them. You can have your religion if you want to, but I pay taxes to a government, not a church. Keep religion and government separate, that includes SCHOOLS!

Here are some of my thoughts on religion and why it should not be in public schools and institutions... And that's that...Religion doesn't have a place in the public sector, clear-headed thinking does...

Whats Happened To Conservatism

Good article. Where did you get it? Web site? Thanks -
My feelings of crime are that of disgust with the criminal system. I find that there is too much lee-way with offenders. I live in Halifax, NS and there have been a rash of youth crime, swarming, gangs of teens beating up people (http://www.canoe.ca/ChronicleHerald/news3.html). There seems to be the problem of no consequences for actions taken. These teens are getting away with this kind of shit and nothing is happening. We had an incident awhile back where teens were going around in cars (their parents for all I know) and beating people up with bats and pipes...GIMME A BREAK! These kids should be sent to jail and corn-holed in prison! 16-18 year olds doing this king of crap! I know, and you know that they KNOW better!! It needs to stop and I do give cutos to the police for trying to stop this, putting out APB's and news broadcasts with descriptions...If I ever got my hands on one of those kids...hell would be dished out...

The Only Two Days That Matter In The Future
Cameron replied to nova_satori's topic in The Rest of the World
HERE HERE! 100% agree!!!!! Stop religion = World Peace There are too many people fighting over stupid religious beliefs that have been going on for thousands of years...get over it people! -
I think they should unite...It would be for the better good of the country, isn't that what becoming a politician is fundamentally about, helping people (I know this is going to open up a bag of worms and you are all going to give your views of why politicians get into in the first place...) BTW - I think the NDP should be squashed...but then again...the NDP who?

Baby! Baby! Look at that, numbers to make me cry for joy! This should be higher, I have no time for commies! I'm surprised they aren't at the top

Concerns Over The Environment
Cameron replied to Lost in Manitoba's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm a PC member and I have concerns about the environment. We do need to find alternatives. Just because you have an affiliation to a party doesn't mean that you agree with everything that the party says or does. We are allowed to have our own thoughts aren't we? Of course! -
No, No, you can have your beliefs and all. But if you look at religion in a world wide since, who is right? There are many other religions that don't have the beliefs that Christianity does. If you put all the religions of the world they will never agree. So I beg to ask the question, who is right? Wouldn't this bring up the process of elimination, is the Christian way of life the proper way? Or is Islam? I don't believe, and I don't like it when ANYBODY tires to justify doing something (eg - starting a "Holy War") against another nation or peoples. That pissed me off.

I personally don't believe in god, or any religion for that matter. I think it's all just houp-la, nothing more than a myth....beliefs of peoples of a by-gone era. You can have your religion, just don't try and force it down my throat, or not even god can help you then. Oh, and I think religion is the root of all evil, just look at the middle-east...nothing but trouble...oh well.

Right on Neal, we need to stop bickering and start gearing up for a Federal Election. We should unite within the time frame that an election needs to be called (5 months?) and start to sort out the different ideas and views and have a party that has a strong chance of winning. Look at the current demographic that is out there. On my end of the country (altantic) the three maritime provs. are Tory (hopefully Bins will win in PEI) the people NL need their heads checked for why they voted Liberal. Que. is better off with a Liberal gov. rather than the PQ. Ontario needs to keep Eves, I don't really know much about him, other than the robotic voice that he has. Manitoba and Sask. need a good influx of PC to rid them of the commies (NDP) that run the provinces. Alberta, well that's all I can say, rock on PC! BC hopefully we can count on them to all vote PC. The territories, well they seen to have their own form of gov't up there, good for them. Ah well, enough bickering for tonight......naaa!

This whole "War on Iraq" was a joke to American news channels. They had the camera's embeded with the troops, following the troops while conducting house to house searched...the worst I think was the camera attached to the barrel of a M1A1...wherever it shot, the camera diligently followed...people are dying here this isn't a game!...thank god for the CBC for MUCH better coverage.... To the topics of peace...the US needs to lose it hypocritical way of thinking. Don't tell other counties to not show POWs while you show Iraqi's...smart, real smart! They need to change foreign policy, now! American people need to stop voting Republican and start voting in majority for Democrats....or, we can just liquidate the US all together and live in a somewhat state of peace
