  1. Found where? Youtube video presents a good question. Where was it stolen from? Charges should be laid. Holland should resign until the RCMP decide if they should investigate. Indeed, he helped himself to private property, and I just heard that The Conservatives on a point of privilege, have asked that Holland be considered, "in contempt of Parliament" for his actions regarding the personal files he has rifled through, the Speaker will allow Holland to respond before he makes a ruling! http://stevejanke.com/archives/220712.php Mark Holland's changing story: Mark Holland's potential issues with the Parliament of Canada Act: http://stevejanke.com/archives/220757.php
  2. Just where is 145 HELL? It says 145 Well (Wellington Building) where the opposition research offices were, and its directed to the office of CRG in the same building. Here's how things work around there: Because of the overlay of unfettered government unionism around Parliament Hill, the boxes have to be transported by union members, after they are labelled by the owners. It is functionally impossible for a box to be "left behind" and then discovered months later, well after the transition team has moved in, cleaned up, and set up their own offices. When the Reform Party moved into the NDP Research offices on Sparks Street in 1993, the NDP had long before moved out. Their filing cabinets still had labels on the file drawers, but the contents had long ago been boxed and moved. Had we found a box with a moving sticker on it, the first order of business would be to call whichever union was in charge of moving boxes and get them to move it. Not only is this "scandal" a non-issue that was thoroughly discussed in 2000, but the true scandal lies with the rather transparent lie that the box was just found. The Liberals apparently haven't learned anything from being drummed out of office for general skullduggery, and are still up to their tricks. It's sad really. Thanks for straightening that out I thought maybe Hell was the opposition benches - Clearly this is a non issue and I agree, the scandal is indeed with the Liberal skullduggery - whoda thunk it of them really
  3. Could there be some backlash against appointing women http://www.vijaysappani.com/myblog/?p=544#comments Vijay Sappani has a warning for Stephane Dion; This riding has a strong population of people from Bangladesh and Pakistan and they are active in the riding. The group that holds the key to the results will be the Tamil groups. We are going to put full resource to secure this seat. There is also a rumour/discussion about an appointment. The biggest issue is that an appointment for a female candidate will be seen as an move against Tamils. There is a possibility that M.Simson or someother female candidate might be appointed. They are all credible candidates and deserve an appointment.Do I have a problem with it? NO, but let Dion have a good answer when he is coming out to ask support from the Hindu and Tamil groups.
  4. Oh Yea, now lets see which is the civilized culture... if Iranian leaders are smart, they'll release them now before the riots start. If those sailors are harmed this could be the beginning of a larger war. Let us hope calmer Iranian heads prevail. here's the BBC link about GPS data http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6501555.stm Satellite data proves 15 navy personnel being held in Iran were 1.7 nautical miles inside Iraqi waters when they were seized, UK defence officials s
  5. Very disingenuous but nothing new there, I clearly recognize the same old same old Liberal and liberal supporters' double standards. Nothing logical in Liberal la la land too bad there's no breakthough there LOL
  6. "I think a lot of Canadians are blinded by anti-Americanism to the extent that they can see no other threat to Canada or the world. The war on terror to them is a myth; large numbers of them simply do not believe that 9/11 was an Islamist attack. And too many Canadians exist in a dream world where the enemy lives to the south of us" - Jack Granatstein. Dreamworld is right LOL
  7. It also gives more credence to the allegations that the left is often nothing more than apologists for terrorists. here the http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6506361.stm says Iran's insistence the group was in its waters last Friday saw the UK release GPS evidence to back up its denials. Naturally Iran says they have an 'incorrect attitude' and now won't release the woman, unless of course the UK admits to being in their waters. Hopefully the U.N. won't wait too long to release its statement calling for the release of the crew. IMO Iran has miscalculated the global reactions and now cannot save face -backed into a corner they could become more of a world threat.
  8. No doubt, if this would've been the Liberals throwing money at PQ to buy votes, or try to, the CPC apologists would be screaming madly. Now we here that they are not going to pay as much on our debt, it seems like fiscally wise the Liberals had them beat hands down. Moreover, it is really reprehensible that the CPC and large families are digging into Canadian's to pay for raising children they cannot afford. Huh? And what exactly is a nationalized day care program you espouse, if not everyone paying for kids they can't afford to look after themselves. The Liberals haven't been fiscally wise in eons, ROTFLMAO same old same old double standards.
  9. The budget couldn't deliver a direct benefit to all, but most people will receive an indirect benefit in one way or the other. Get large SUVs off the road - benefit everyone, help the environment - benefit everyone. The list goes on. For a minority gov't it did a decent job of trying to satisfy everyone - not easy without a majority. The Tories are still spending less than they bring in with revenues and arereturning record amounts to taxpayers along with paying down debt. This certainly demonstrates prudent and balanced fiscal management, the difference between Tories and the Liberals. Of course, if this had been a Liberal budget it would have been applauded, of course to some it wouldn't matter what the CPC did - it would be wrong. Something like BDR, only this is HDR LOL
  10. I guess its easy to overlook the facts that most of the lands that are now Muslim were first Christian. All the ME and the north of Africa were Christian before they were conquered by Arab armies which also attacked and invaded Europe, not the other way around. They conquered most of Spain in the 8th cent. and were stopped by the French (when they had balls) in Tours. It took Spain almost 800 years to free itself. The Arabs continued attempting to conquer Europe - parts of Italy fell under their power, the South, Sicily, etc.. In the Battle of Lepanto in the 16 cent. the Ottoman Empire was beaten by Spain, the Papal states and several Italian cities. Again the Turk laid siege to Vienna in 1683. They conquered the Balkans - and it took Greece until the late 19th century to free itself and Russia was under the Turkish yoke for centuries. The power holders in the Radical Islamic world do not exist in a vacuum, they flourish in a system which teaches children that mass murder is the will of God as they they control the minds of people who celebrate the deaths of women and children. The terrorists of 9/11 and their helpers can't be written off on bogus political and politically correct grounds, they knew what they were doing and what they want. They and the rest of their radical cohorts are reactionary, fundamentalist, and repressive. To not recognize what we are up against and the threat to world peace these radical represent is simply being in denial. War or no Iraq war, the radicals would still be a problem, and where, long before Bush was President. And don't forget Arab countries with oil are making killing because of the Iraq war, it costs them what, 2 to 4 dollars a barrel to produce what they sell for for $60.00 - and AQ has some shares in that too. What we need to do is to continue trying to integrate the moderate muslims into the global community, who then might be able to help combat the radical extremes of their own religion.
  11. Why would we want to solve a declining populating - more people - more pollution etc. etc.
  12. Say what you will about respecting a signature on an international treaty. The Conservatives only need to find 2 out of every 5 actual voters who think thousands left in their pockets is worth more than some signature signed by a former Prime Minister who knew the targets were unrealistic. Right, and if most people knew what Kyoto was actually about they wouldn't support it. I'd wager most people would not be willing to change their lifestyles to the extent required to make even a minimal impact of the climate (if at all).
  13. Another push poll which can only provide an answer she wants to hear, so no vote here.
  14. The Brits did not have weapons other than side arms, not sure why or what the rules of engagement where. The U.S. ships are armed and probably would have fired.
  15. Islam may have been culturally ahead but not now, and was always aggressive. The Persians invaded Europe in order to conquer the Greeks in the 5th century B.C. Islam had conquered the bulk of western Arabia and what is now southern Palestine via a dozen or so various invasions and bloody conquests. After Mohammed's death in 632, the new Caliph, Abu Bakr, started Islam into almost 1,500 years of continual imperialist, bloody conquests and subjugation of others through invasion and war, a role radical Islam appears to be continuing today. People seem to ignore the 450 years of Muslim aggression prior to the crusades preferring to lay the blame on Europe. Christians were made slaves and eunuchs for the Caliphs, churches were burned sacked etc. Maybe their anger is as much against their own impotence and corrupt backward governments and the failure of their culture and way of life as compared to the West.
  16. Further to this, it looks like Buddhists are getting fed up with the Islamic insurgency - how will this all end, and can gov'ts stop the spread of the radical insurgencies?> http://www.beliefnet.com/story/214/story_21483_1.html 1,000 Buddhists Rally in Thailand Against Muslim Insurgents Associated Press Print Page Saba Yoi, Thailand - Hundreds of Buddhists rallied in Thailand's restive south Monday in anger over a bloody Islamic insurgency amid fears it could erupt into a sectarian battle between religious communities, officials said. Protesters demanded that civilians be allowed to carry guns to protect themselves, and urged authorities to resist pressure from Muslims to withdraw soldiers and police from Songkhla province's Saba Yoi district. Army spokesman Col. Akara Thiprot said Monday's rally was the largest in three years, and estimated more than 1,000 Buddhists joined the protest.
  17. Sort of like Bush derangement syndrome, wherein every action, every thought, every breath Bush takes is evil. Not only is Bush the moral equivalent of Beelzebub, but his father, mother, extended family, distant relatives and even his circle of acquaintances are tainted, to the bone, with hellgloop. Some even try to drag his ancestors into the mire, by virtue of the fact that this or that one knew someone who had a maid who had a son who saw Hitler in a parade once, thereby establishing a clear link between Bush and Hitler. Exactly, BDR is an unreasoning hatred. Is it strictly because of the Iraq war, or do they hate Bush because he and the republicans come between them and their vision of Utopia. The big difference between constructive crit. and BDR is that their crit. is malevolent towards him and the U.S. They simply want the US. to fail at anything and everything it does and appear to openly cheer for the enemy. edited to correct spelling
  18. It is not against all of Islam, only the radical variety which may be a minority, but has the loudest voice and is heard. All you have to do is read up on what is happening in Britain et al, to know that unless they integrate better into western society, there will always be a problem. As the numbers increase, so do the demands for Sharia Law and demands for our society to change. Take this ruling in Germany for example where the Judge cites the Koran in rejecting divorce. Since when should the Koran take precedence over the laws of the land. FRANKFURT: A German judge has stirred a storm of protest here by citing the Koran in turning down a German Muslim wife's request for a fast-track divorce on the ground that her husband beat her. Not to mention people who do speak out have to deal with death threats. http://www.expatica.com/actual/article.asp...&story_id=38109 Hirsi Ali under threat in US 27 March 2007 AMSTERDAM – Former MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali is now in danger in the US as well. Her security has been stepped up for the past three weeks. Because of concrete threats, she is now receiving the same level of protection as she previously needed in the Netherlands, the Volkskrant reports.
  19. It's obvious a crime was committed and presumably the RCMP will investigate it. Is the rule of law onl apply to parties other than the Conservatives? It looks like a crime was committed allright ROTFLMAO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPWAhyjglsI It would explain how these papers miraculously showed up at this time - you know when there might be an election.
  20. Anyone who doesn't agree with her is simple hmmm Think I'll join you on that one now, faster than SOB
  21. Christianity' is brewing among us, but whatever it is, it doesn't hold the same connotations as Sharia Law. Yes, but I haven't heard them suggesting that we kill anyone who doesn't believe in their faith, nor have I heard of any of their followers being violent or using their kids as bombs. In fact, I believe they preach about peace and love do they not? Pointing out past history is only an attempt to deflect from the atrocities being committed today by radical Islam, which is by far committing the large majority. Instead of vilifying other religions which today do not advocate violence, maybe it would be better to recognize that there is an issue and a possible culture war. I would wager that most Christians today do not believe in the 'rapture' or most other pieces of dogma, and they certainly don't want to end the world for that reason. I did not know that they really desire to see the end of the world, IMO that theory only comes from blogs etc., people who wish to use it to further their own agendas, and as a method of getting at Bush and the U.S. Neither do they believe if you kill women and children, you will go to heaven, or committing suicide taking out innocent lives will get you 72 virgins, At a recent debate over the battle for Islamic ideals in England, a British born Muslim spoke and said that the Prophet Mohammed's message to non-believers is: "I come to slaughter all of you." - nice huh What we need to do is stop trying to apologize for the radical Islamic atrocities which were happening long before the Iraq war and help the moderate majority of Muslims to make sure that the radical brand doesn't get a toe hold here as it has in Europe.
  22. I don't see either of those groups being as radical as the Islamists, we may have one or two or want to kill abortionists, all religions have their crackpots I suppose, but none to my knowledge are beheading people, stoning women to death or even suggesting that they might want to bomb a subway or fly planes into building and kill a few thousand people at a go, and certainly none of them are using kids as human bombs or decoys. Neither do I see them planting bombs in places of worship that belonged to their own faith There is no equivalence. All groups are entitled to a voice in our democracy, we have no right to insist that only secularists be allowed a voice. I really don't know what 'extreme brand of Christianity' is brewing among us, but whatever it is, it doesn't hold the same connotations as Sharia Law.
  23. Why is it a 'hate' site, is what they are saying not true? If so, then they could be charged with slander maybe.
  24. Christianity and other religions don't light a candle to radical Islam with regards to barbarity of the radicals, but as I said, some people can't wait to deflect from that, and paint other religions as worse - when in fact there are none. I don't know what you mean - from the west and I've never even hinted that we should kill them . I don't propose that we change Islam in Islamic countries we can't; we can try to educate people and help bring some form of democracy to them if possible. What we can do is try ensure that Sharia law doesn't get a foothold here, something that is being tried for in parts of Europe, not to mention the first attempts in Ontario. We should also somehow help the moderates to regain what has been hijacked by the radicals.
  25. Why have Iran and Syria's incursions into Iraq gone on without putting them on notice?
