  1. Bravo. I commend you on your words and your choice of career.
  2. The only part of Kimmy's post I wonder about is this. If that were true why is the acting so bad and the show so poorly written?
  3. C'mon. I think the more conservative posters here are the one's saying get your sh*t together buddy. Don't know many CPC supporters who can't grasp the basics of RRSPs....
  4. I can't think of a poltician I have worshipped, ever....
  5. Yaaaaaaawn..... David Dodge (Governor of the Bank of Canada - as independent as you get) spoke on the Income Trust issue today. Link Supportive of the Government move. Seems to me like the Governor of the Bank of Canada is a little more independent than an accounting/consulting firm looking to make money helping companies conver to trusts. Or am I missing something. Geoff re-focus the anger. Trusts are gone. Ain't comin' back.....
  6. That is such a stretch. You are as lacking in credibility as Paul Martin and his merry band of thugs. Hopefully your stay here is equally as short.
  7. So you truly believe we should live in a Nanny state and the Government should be responsible for telling us exactly how to spend our money? No options provided? There are advantages to investing in RRSPs. There are also disadvantages. We live in a free society and can choose if these advantages are in our best interest. The burden on deciding the best way to invest my money lies with me. Not the Government. They are there to be found pretty easily. Does the Government make you spend *ONE SECOND* of your time to find the information? Yes. Your objections are pretty unreasonable. Do you expect the Government to wipe your arse for you too because it is unreasonable for you to waste *ONE SECOND* of your time doing such a mundane task?
  8. I believe the producer spoke about this subject. They coudln't find many Muslims to audition...
  9. Pat Stéphanie on the back all you want. You sound like all the old school Reformers whining about Chrétien co-opting all their good ideas. Didn't Chrétien end up winning three straight majorities? Hey, if co-opting the better parts of your opponent's platform is the path to a majority then it looks like the Conservatives are well on their way...
  10. More support for our military and a well-thought out dispersal of manpower. Good work!
  11. Very funny. When Harper does something that is clearly in the best interest of Canadians and goes to prove what a lie *scary* *scary* *scary* is, does he get any credit? Nope, of course not. All he gets is accused of buying votes. And the angry left then tells us how we can behave. We aren't *allowed* to say anything bad about PM Dithers because Hiti told us.
  12. Such a faulty analogy. You have to go to school for at least 6 years to become a dentist or doctor. You could take an hour long course on investing basics at your local community centre (maybe the public library?) to avoid the basic, basic mistake margrace made.
  13. What was Stéphanie's legacy as Enmvironment Minister? He followed up years of inaction with solid plans and no action! Good work leader....
  14. That's exactly what I mean about credibility. Dion saying that we would have met Kyoto with what was in place up to 2005, then blaming our inability to meet Kyoto on the Conservatives last 13 months in power isn't credible. Then saying Canadians can get rich in the process of trying to meet Kyoto isn't credible. Shipping money overseas to buy tax credits is a joke. The Conservatives announced a biofuels strategy in December. Here is the link.
  15. Let me ask you a question. Why do you imagine that the banks and financial institutions have your interests at heart instead of their own? People always have their own interests at heart first and the interests of their clients second. Great response Saturn. Couldn't have said it better myself. Margrace you never earned more than $13K a year, yet were able to invest in RRSPs? Your current income now must be higher than $13K or you wouldn't have anything clawed back for cashing in RRSPs...
  16. Ahhh, there's the rub. The pedophile thing was in poor taste as well. Are you saying two wrongs make a right? There is a *huge* difference though. Harper never used the word himself. It was a dumbass release put out by thr 2004 war room. is too much of an authority of what is good taste. So the Harper-haters can use Stevie, put Stéphanie is out of line? Do explain the difference....
  17. What about all the people who refer to our Prime Minister as Stevie? Is turnaround not fair play? Any questions about my posts PM me. They are of no concern to anybody else here.
  18. It was ignorant, arrogant and childish. Unbecoming of a candidate for Prime Minister of Canada...
  19. Here is the quote. Wow, in one swift stroke Dion has proved three faults. 1. Still has the classic Liberal arrogance. 2. Yet another example of the classic Liberal double-standard. Personal attacks about skin colour or physical appearance are abhorrent unless it is a Liberal making the joke. 3. He is a huge loose cannon/lacking in political instincts. Yet another anecdote to add to the book to be written on Stéphanie as the first Liberal leader in 100 years to not become PM.
  20. This is the one that lacks all credibility. Would you like to post those links a third time? Credibility Stéphanie. Credibility. That is the key. That one doesn't even pass the laugh test.
  21. They have to pay back $1,350 a year *at the most*. That is a little over a $100 a month. If people cannot afford those payments they are most likely earning in the lowest tax bracket and shouldn't be contributing to RRSPs in the first place.
  22. Hmmm, so Kyoto was signed in 1997 but no action was taken by the Liberals for 8 years because it hadn't come into force yet? Credibility Stéphanie. Credibility. That is the key. That one doesn't even pass the laugh test.
  23. Under the Home Buyer's Plan Canadians can withdraw up to $20,000 of RRSP money for the purchase of hteir first home without paying taxes, as long as they pay back the money over a fifteen year period. (Link) Do you have any idea what you are talking about? What is the meaning of your personal attacks on our Finance Minister? Nice double-standard.
  24. Bay Street and the financial media agree with the wisdom of the reversal. Is that proof enough for you? Probably not, but then again how could he prove it to you? John Ibbitson said it best about why the income trust story will peter out very quickly. Where do you fall within that group?
