  1. Do you think it's easy to make priorities?
  2. Agreed. Now is definitely not the right time for income-splitting. Maybe when the economy cools off and we are looking at ways to move people out of the workforce. But for now, no way.
  3. Ended up costing money because the Government listened to the short-sighted, self-absorbed CMA... So why should we listen to them on this one?
  4. I think the poll is a little better than maintaining their 10 seats. I think as many as 18 are possible. 15 a realistic goal. Add seats in the Maritimes, 905 and the prairies at that point they are in sniffing distance of a majority.
  5. It is very interesting that Margrace *just* found this out. The principles of investing in RRSPs have remained the same since they were introduced. I won't be buying any for 2006 because I didn't make any money. I am setting money aside, but hopefully my income this year will be worth it. The issues Margrce described with respect to his RRSP purchase decision have no relation to the Income Trust decision or any fundamental changes that have occured with RRSPs. The fundamentals/rationale for buying RRSPs have always remained the same.
  6. Of course that was part of the deal for Belinda. Why else would the little Princess cross the floor? Stephen wasn't treating here with the respect Daddy's money had earned for her so she crossed for the treatment she *deserved*.
  7. Wow, very good news for all Canadians. Could be a Québec provincial election in the spring, maybe a Federal election in the fall.
  8. I had to set my PMs to ignore as well. This stuff does not belong on the boards. Please use PMs amongst yourselves.
  9. If the ads can help define Dion just a little they will have done their job. I have seen those ads on the gas/ethanol thing. The main guy in them is a bit of a dufus. But I think those are actual Government of Canada ads and not Conservative Party of Canada ads. Could be wrong though...
  10. So you're okay if the emissions target of Kyoto is met inside Canada without the credits then? How can the emissions targets be met, after ten years of Liberal inaction, without credits? Not possible without ruining our economy. Are you willing to give up your vehicle and keep your house 5 degrees colder, or warmer, depending on the season?
  11. Another person for the ignore button? Do you Harper-haters feel better ignoring the facts of Canadian politics? We have a Conservative Government. A Government that would likely win an election if it one were held today. Very easy to only listen to those you agree with. I only ignore one user here. Not for their political views, more for an unhealthy obsession that really needs to end...
  12. So you are taking the opportunity to go after me, in order to prove how you take the high road and don't respond to me, except this one time? Are you stoned right now? I don't see how that is an attack given your expressed love for the herb... .. Back to the topic of the thread .... Does anybody here honestly think those Liberal *inspired* response ads will have any effect???
  13. Really. Do tell which polling company is releasing this poll? Three day roll it would have to come out on the Thursday at the earliest. My guess is we'll see at least one poll in the next eight days. Where do you come up with such tripe.
  14. No reason to capitalize partisanship. As for your attack on a typo, I guess your feelings on them change from time to time. Typical double-standard. Not unexpected. As for your double-standard on partisanship? I have provided evidence of your partisan behaviour once. I'll never *prove* it to your satisfaction. Got you blocked now so have fun stalking somebody else for the next couple days. Back to the topic of this thread .... So anybody have an over/under on how many times that lame knock-off faux-Liberal attack ad from Youtube gets posted here? I'll start the line at 10 1/2...
  15. Ahh, but there is the rub. The Conservatives ads will be seen by millions of Canadians watching TV. The Liberal knock-offs, by Harper-haters and political junkies in general. Have your laugh with your internet only Harper hate fest. The Conservatives will be laughing all the way to a majority.
  16. Explain again how you are non-partisan? I thank you for keeping the personal attacks aside for at least a few posts.
  17. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Interesting how they couldn't find a native English speaker for that ad. Is Haper reallyt *that* strong in the Rest of Canada?
  18. Hmmm, pat yourself on the back much? Not sure what to make of this resignation. Everybody will be happy with it seems to me...
  19. My vibe on the Quebec results. Afghanistan isn't an issue. The Conservatives look like they have neutralized the environment as an issue, but need to keep at it to keep the issue off the front burner. Québecoise are getting a little tired of Gilles Duceppe. So they are looking at their Federalist options. The Conservatives and Liberals splitting 55 to 60% of the vote in Québec is terrible news for the Bloc, so-so for the Liberals and great news for the Conservatives...
  20. There is no chance for the Conservatives to hurt themselves by running these ads. They aren't lying. They aren't overstating the case. They are simply using Dion's own words against them. Worst case scenario: they spend a big chunk of dough and don't move much in the polls...
  21. Yes. Of course that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to success. What the Conservatives are trying to do with these ads is to define Dion. They seem to be doing the trick. The Conservatives were only 4 points from a majority in the last election...
  22. Your criteria for choosing which case was clearly biased. Belinda crossed the line for "refusing to toe the party line" makes here look out to be much more admirable than was actually the case. Conveniently you made the person who crossed to the Liberals look much more admirable than the person who left the Liberals. No that's not partisan at all. Hmmm, you really are trying to start a fight with every post. Maybe if you put your energies towards spelling correctly instead of attacking people you wouldn't have so many typos. Instead of insulting me or trying to get something going deal with the substance of my post. Explain how your convenient explanation wasn't blindly partisan.
  23. Here are the numbers for vote intention in Québec. Bloc - 34% (down *huge* - 8.1 points from the election) LPC - 29% (up big - 8.3 points from the election) CPC - 23% (down a bit 1.6 points from the election) Here is the link. Very interesting stuff. Looks like the Liberals and the Conservatives are both poised to pick up seats at the expense of the Bloc. Wow, a majority could be in play....
  24. But you aren't blindly partisan. Did you mean regardless?
  25. But you aren't a Liberal, and you are not *blindly partisan*. Why did you think that post applied to you? Could it be that you are a leftie partisan? So does your concept of ethics apply to your own behaviour and deceitfully mislabelling yourself? Nice histrionics at the end there. Good night stalker. See you tomorrow, if you haven't been suspended by then.
