  1. Explain your original question? You ask if there are any Liberals I would like to see win. Ignorant question and I respond by giving MPs I want to see win. You respond by saying you can't think of one Conservative you want to see win??? There isn't one Conservative who is a credit to the House of Commons and serves his constituents well???
  2. Please don't try to make this board a Harper-hatefest.
  3. You didn't start anything? So you are supposed to get a free pass on such insults?
  4. Hmm. See I'm a Conservative voter. So you made it personal first with this quote. Interesting how people take offence to such blanket insuts...
  5. So your response is the schoolyard classic "I know you are but what am I?" Which banned Harper-hater with a new screen name are you?
  6. So there are no Conservatives you want to see win?
  7. I don't know if anybody *supports* abortions. But I am pro-choice. And yes I am a Conservative. Will you now quit with your blanket insults and ignorant behaviour?
  8. Hey, enough insulting groups of voters. Conservatives care abourt forcing their values on people? Hmmm, sounds like *scary* *scary* *scary* all over again. Worked so well last election thought you would try it again? Ahhh, if only all Liberals were as intellectually vacuous...
  9. Hey, weren't you just questioning if there were any Liberals I'd like to see win? Hypocrisy and bralnlesness. Classic Liberal behaviour.
  10. I think Dion should win his seat again. Dryden if he decides to run again. Ralph Goodale. Whoever runs against Jack Layton... Are there any Conservatives you'd like to see win? Or are you just here to start sh*t? Are you defending Mark Holland?
  11. Don't know about that. Seems to me that the Conservative campaign lost a little steam when they ran out of policy announcements to make. I can't see how an extra two weeks would have helped them that much...
  12. Do you remember the outrage when Harper dared to state that truth during the last election??? Some people think it cost him a majority. Doubtful, but you never know.
  13. The Liberals kept saying he was *scary* *scary* *scary* and incapable of governing. He has definitely proven he is not scary and capable of governing. Most Canadians don't want to go to the polls every 18 months. This minority was a probationary period. Harper has passed it, so time to give him a majority.
  14. Fair enough. The Liberals have been lead by a Quebecker for 17 straight years now. That goes to show a lot of where their priorites are. (When they actually have priorities. I somehow think the next election will be interesting to watch the Liberal's strategy. If they try *scary* *scary* *scary* Harper can run on his record. The Harper-haters will pint to it as evidence of how terrible the Conservatives have been. I don't think we have lost any swing voters who took a chance on us last time around. The Conservatives are slowly building a strong environmental record. Once that has been built we can move on with a positive agenda.
  15. . It will die like many of the other pseudo "stories" the CBC tries to push. Stories that conveniently push their political agenda.
  16. So Harper gets a pass for now doing the same thing? He doesn't get a pass. But it wasn't a priority, and he has still taken more steps in the right direction in a year than the Liberals took in 13.
  17. As an Alberta political junkie it has just been a little too much for me. Between the Federal election last January, nominations, and the Provincial leadership. I'm really a little burned out at the moment. I think a good year or so of political quiet time while help re-charge the batteries. 2008 could be crazy here if we have both a Provincial and a Federal election. At this point, it looks like both will happen next year.
  18. The Conservatives have really started focusing on the environment. Doesn't seem like their plan is to campaign against the Martin record. Seems like they will campaign on their own record.
  19. There are two minds on the timing of the next election. If Harper wanted to pull a Chretien and have an election before the new leader could get his sh*t together then we will go in the spring. My gut feeling is that Harper will want to hold onto the job for as long as possible. A year and seven months is the average length of time for a minority government in Canada. I definitley think he will surpass it.
  20. You guess wrong. Why make such an ignorant comment? Do you feel better for having done it?
  21. Why would the CBC show that? They have a bias and they are using our tax dollars to defend it. Presenting both sides of the issue doesn't make sense on their limited budget. They *only* get a billion dollars a year in subsidies.
  22. Shove the cheerleading for the insults. You'd think someone with your sense of self-importance would be able to add to this board other than lowering yourself to egg on the attacks of another poster. Was my post really that difficult for you to respond to? Or has the wake and bake made it tough for you to type more than one word posts???
  23. I wasn't acting from a playbook of right-wing clichés. I was just calling it as it is.
  24. Yeah, I could see waiting until 2008. If Harper doesn't go right after the next budget he has no real advantage waiting until the fall. Wait for the '08 budget maybe... That is definitely longer than the averae minority Government in Canada.
  25. I'm guessing this is what jdobbin took issue with. You could have put it with more tact but I see your point. I really feel that the next election will be more of the same. Dion will start the campaign trying to run on issues. When that doesn't work he'll turn back to *scary* *scary* *scary*. The combination of the CBC, the Toronto Star and Liberal TV ads swing a lot of votes to the Liberals.
