  1. That's what is so laughable. So many Canadians in a "perpetual tizzy over Americans, perceiving slights and squawking in moral outrage over the mere existence of Americans"! What is laugh-out-loud funny is that this poster is so oblivious to the fact that as a Canadian he fails to 'perceive' the irony of his clear antipathy for Americans in his posts. What groups have protested against Vancouver's 2010 games? Other than all of the local B.C. unions, civil servants and the usual whiners who protest every little dollar spent on something other than their 'special interest group's special interest'? If you have a list other than the foregoing please list them, enquiring minds would like to know. Actually, the foregoing comment is not true. Perhaps nothing more than wishful thinking from a Canadian "who may be in a tizzy over Americans." `
  2. Ho ho ho. Well, since it won't be on the stands til April-09 if I remember I'll send you a copy of the relevant chapter ... from Dubai. Oh, and a Happy Thanksgiving to you tomorrow... snowflake `
  3. It may be wiser to wait until the book is released in April-09 before making such sweeping generalizations? As mentioned in the MSNBC report, what was quoted in their report was the 'publisher's teaser' ... as follows: Planning on buying the book jdobbin? `
  4. 'WHITE SUPREMACISTS" on this board? And, Jennie-Saga-Jen, you came to this conclusion when you decided to grace this board so recently with your 'one-issue' presence? Because there are several posters who fail to be impressed with your verbose and strident advocacy for your cause? How many other 'conservative', liberal and boards such as babble, etc. have the posters reacted to your attempts to TEACH them about the Six Nations problems with the white man in even more offensive language than have the few posters on this board? How was your reception by the posters of Free Dominion by the way, Saga? Oh, really? Jennie-Jen-Saga [and all of the other aliases you use on all of the Canadian message boards,] made the decision to join this board to remind the posters here how much smarter you are than them? Whatever gave you the impression Granny that since you believe yourself so apolitical, neutral, objective and all-knowing that the posters here, especially those whom you identify as 'white supremacists' are so lacking in intellect/intuition that they would be unable to spot you as a flaming ultra-left wing chauvinist? As well as the newbie poster whose first few posts were liberally sprinkled with the tired old Racist label when responding to posters who deigned to disagree with you. It appears obvious why you came to this board. All of the other Canadian boards are bored to the extreme with the obsessive rants and ravings and preachings of the one-issue SAGA. `
  5. It appears the Globe & Mail is the only member of the fourth estate to actually publish Margaret Wente's OP detailing the machinations of K. Schrieber in his quest to avoid or delay his extradition to his homeland. In his efforts to explain this letter to Brian Mulroney in 2006 he is now claiming Mulroney asked him to write the letter. I wonder just how gullible this Schrieber thinks Canadians are to believe Mulroney is as persuasive or sincere enough to charm this Schreiber into declaring in writing the legitimacy of his dealings with Mulroney. In other words a complete contradiction of his present claims via letters to all political parties and his affidavit, et al. With any luck at all Schrieber will be on an aircraft back to Germany on Friday to face all of the charges against him. `
  6. Unbelievable. First a "27ish" woman from Winnipeg who had no idea who Louis Riel was and now .... a woman from Toronto who thinks Harper would do "terrible things" if an election was held now and the Cons got a majority government? Oh right, What about those two women school teachers, in several different stories were from somewhere in Ontario and in the several other stories were from somewhere else in Ontario ... who had never ever heard of Wolfe/Montcalm and the Plains of Abraham --- were they at the Blue Rodeo concert too? Like, who would ask anyone at a concert (two separate women, one from Winnipeg and one from Toronto?) about Riel or Canadian elections? If any of this did take place what is the point .... other than to insinuate how dumb Canadian women are and how devilishly clever some NY guy is? None of which took place in MO. in any event. `
  7. Tell me, what do you do for an encore? TOO, TOO, FUNNY! Notice the fact that there is not one tsk tsking critic of the op article with a sense of humor? Figures. `
  8. Topaz, this is what you said in your opening post: You claimed in your second post that you read it on a totally different website from what you now claim you read 'Christian Lowe's article' on the Military.com website. How do you explain that Christian Lowe, in his article on Military.com, is actually paraphrasing Col. McGrath's press briefing which was quoted in its' entirety in the post you are answering? Christopher Lowe states: http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,152917,00.html Christopher Lowe is citing the SAME situation report by Col. McGrath as I quoted when asking you to provide proof of the Afghan Army being competent enough by spring to allow NATO forces to leave Afghanistan. It is you who should be re-thinking how you present your comments filled with untruths and bias without providing any links to corroborate your posts.
  9. http://uscavonpoint.com/articles2/Article.aspx?id=6963 A briefing by Col. McGrath on the Afghan army, police and border guards, etc. posted in a different thread.
  10. http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2007/10/18/afghan-poll.html Ms. Stein sees grounds for optimism in Afghanistan? Surprise. Surprise. `
  11. NOWHERE in Co. McGrath's briefing does he state that the Afghan army is doing so well that by late spring of 2008 NATO will be able to turn over the job to the Afghans. This is what Col. McGrath did state in his briefing: http://uscavonpoint.com/articles2/Article.aspx?id=6963 NOWHERE did the Col. make the comments you, Topaz, attribute to him with respect to the progress of training of the Afghan Army; this is what the Col. did state: Read the whole report of the briefing Topaz then explain to me how and why you would again totally misconstrue what actually took place. `
  12. From the above CTV article: "A spokeswoman from the Privy Council Office told CP that the exploratory project had been abandoned at an "early stage." She added that there are no other locations being scouted for a media facility. But Sandra Buckler, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's director of communications, told The Canadian Press "there are no plans to pursue'' such a centre." The lead story of the Toronto Star does not report just when this new media center is now to open. If the concept drawings, cost estimates, etc. were to be completed a year ago for this building why has construction not begun yet? The Toronto Star staff has refused to answer this rather innocuous question. Probably because there is/will not be a new media center controlled by the PMO. `
  13. I find it very hard to believe anyone with even a grade 10 education in Canada would claim ignorance of what "a list of jews" actually denotes. jdobbin are you honestly unaware of the 'Eichman lists of jews' during the Nazi regime? Somehow I think not and that you are perfectly aware of what your "list of jews" actually conveys. Rather insensitive on your part. By the way how embarrassing it may be for the Ms. K. when she finds out her jewish Mama enters her name and those of her grandkids on various lists. Jewish mamas tend to be upset if and when their kid attempts to deny their jewish faith. `
  14. You must have read the Nat Post's article on Dion's protestations against an election jdobbin. If Stephane is FORCED to reject the Throne Speech it will be ALL Harpers' fault. Not Jack's or Gilles or, Stephanes'? I wonder how many of the voting public will agree with Stephane's rationale if he does reject the speech. Stephane must be referring to Harper's "fish or cut bait" comment by claiming Harper basically said .... if Canadians don't want an election ... he does. Must be a Quebecois form of translation from the English for Dion to have interpreted fish or cut bait into wanting an election? `
  15. Is there a less 'hackneyed' phrase than the Israelis being 'pushed into the sea' you would prefer, Black Dog? There is an Imam from a Vancouver mosque who has phrases for not only Israelis but ALL of the 15 or so million Jews in the world you may find more palatable. This Imam, being one of the similar, if not the very same, brown people as many of the jewish people (matter of fact there is a senior partner of a law firm in Vancouver who is frequently mistaken for an 'African' rather than a jewish person) has literally embarrassed but not shamed many of his muslim mosque members with his vicious tirades against --- those other semites. The Jews. He then calls for a Jihad against those other 'pale skinned' people which he refers to as Infidels, when being polite. Matter of fact this Imam is wallowing with great glee in the fact that in Canada and Vancouver in particular he is actually free to call for the death and beheading of those jews and Infidels. Freedom of speech and the Human Rights Commission, you know. That other forum, Telus or whatever, you opined on about the Israelis and the jewish people so frequently suggested that you were not at all enamoured of that particular religion and short of actually referring to you as a bigot which seems to be the favorite epithet along with racist on this thread, let's just say. The old adage: those who live in glass houses ...... `
  16. Apologies. Had to leave before making a comment on the topic. What was interesting was the: • On a per capita basis, Alberta contributes $3,000 a year to federal coffers, or double that of Ontario. It has been consistently denied by, e.g., Duceppe, that Albertans have contributed more to Quebec's equalization payments than Ontario and, more specifically, Duceppe has denied that Alberta contributes and Quebec receives ANY dollars from Albertans. A recent article quoted Duceppe stating the above just recently. Can't find it unfortunately. Jack Layton has made on-going references to the 'environment', Alberta, carbon taxes, sharing with Canada and criticizing those uber rich Albertan oil barons. What Layton has not critiqued is B.C.'s oil and natural gas resources; that B.C. is now, along with Alberta and Ontario, again contributing to the 'have-not' provinces' equalization payments mainly because of its' resources similar to Albertas'. No doubt the reason being, Layton hasn't a clue about any province other than Ontario. `

  18. What, who and how are Canadian soldiers being trained by Blackwater? Please post a link to whatever source you are citing for this info. Thanks. `
  19. http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/ed...46-a4a2fa74f9aa . Maybe the American officials do use some plain old honest truths: ......[snip] and, [snip] Some in the 'political establishment' and all of those 'champagne socialists', Naomi Kleins, et al., consistently preach ad infinitum Canada has no terrorists and the only fear Canadians have of terrorism is from the American covert plans to steal all of Canada's resources. Right, Margrace? `
  20. Hello Saga, I see you found this Board; and you are now jennie/jen? Would have thought that enmasse and the 'native issues' threads on those other boards were more conducive to your opening of the numerous native topics rather than this board. Although I assume Michelle would tend to both consolidate all native threads into that one forum and disallow posting the native issues anywhere else? Like in the 'politics' forum? Or it could be just a matter of those other board's members lacking interest in the stories, which is obvious to the casual reader. No doubt the same will happen on all boards? I'm sure Charles will be along to consolidate all of these threads too Saga. It's a favorite peeve of his. (ps. do you still have your own 'native' forum?) `
  21. What? Geoff owes you an explanation for his opinion on Russian provocation? Have you been nominated the Board's new shrink? If you don't know who Gary Powers is: Does the Cold War ring a bell?
  22. http://www.thestar.com/article/254603 Is this a strong enough message Geoffrey? ..... "smile, you're in Canadian airspace ..." NEXT TIME, it won't be a camera? `
  23. Who are the two fewer women in this cabinet? `
