  1. Our governments were screwing up long before this virus and will continue to do so long after it's over just like we all do...the media will focus on the fuck ups but not the positive that will come out of this..but we will learn from this...you sound genuinely depressed chin up man...Often is actually not a sour puss and neither are you...you disagree because you both are idealists and care...that is all...damn I am turning into Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz...Regards, Flying Monkey no. 13
  2. ..both ..we know its damn lethal for some...but non lethal for others...what it does show and I am sure we all agree is how it presents serious challenges if not properly prepared for..its shown our pandemic planning was not prepared for this and there are serious implications relying too heavily on other countries to produce certain goods..
  3. I like it you can put your partisan views to the side and say the above. Yesterday he had a hard day releasing the no's he did. For the same reason Inhold back my partisan disdain for Trudeau and Trump. I am not happy with Trump not taking decisive action with states with no quarantine but that is another of many things he does I do not understand. I preder your non partisan approach at this time.
  4. Yah I know me too and of course I am not sure blaming multiculturalism for this virus is meaningful. I also do not take what Shady said as being anti immigrant or anti cultural. ju You both raise valid respectful discussions entitled to respectful responses. I do suppose cultural values do relate to cleanliness and all cultures across the world face hygiene issues some harder than others due to lack of facilities and water.
  5. Hang on Z while I respond but with respect. There are treatments now leading to recovery rates. Furthermore we have no accurate data to make the conclusion this virus is more contagious or lethal than other viruses. It is far too early to jump to such conclusions. Yes in one sense all viruses are equally contagious and of course this one is Further there are no vaccines for many lethal viruses such as aids..but it doesn't mean aids kills as it used to or the other viruses will..not if alternative medical treatment regimes prove effective. As we speak a variety of approaches are being used and some are working better than others. It is not an automatic death sentence for all who contract it. Next, Sars became far less contagious as it mutated but more harder to treat. So in onecsensevit became more lethal, but in another sense less lethal. Further, determining how lethal a virus is can not be determined over a short period of time not to mention has not taken into analysis all actual cases let alone all cases where people recovered. We do not have that info. Our reported cases are not all the cases. As well people now who die with the virus did not necessarily die from having had the virus but it is reported that way. They could have had the infections that killed them prior to getting the virus and would have died anyways which means ths virus blamed for their deaths did not contribute to their deaths and was coincidental not the contributor of their death causing more distortion to the accuracy of how we extrapolate rates of death.
  6. Again can you explain how it's socialism and not simply totalitarianism. Using your analogy, Pinochet, Erdogan, Ghaddafi, Kim Jung, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Franco, are socialists .
  7. Your comparison with respect although appreciated forctyevpointvyou are trying to make is not something to rely on. We do not have sufficient data on this virus yet. The stats we now use rely on a snapshot time period not accounting for the peak of the virus yet to come or the number of cases never reported and people have recovered from. Incorrect application and extrapolation of patterns from inaccurate stats are tempting to use to make false assumptions about death rates from. Reported death rates by the way may include people who had the virus and died, but had their infections before they got the virus and so should not but are included in the death rates. Its friggin complicated. Bill Gates Foundation has done all kinds of projection analysis of possible patterns. They seem to suggest if we can stay distanced another 6 weeks, we could get a peak in mid May..interestingly the death rates have to go up but so are recovery rates as different combos of medication being tried become prove more effective..chin up .. Go back and examine the polio crisis in the early 60's, or the initial reaction to aids, Ebola, Zika, West Nile, Sars, Legionairre's disease you can see a hint what is to come in the days ahead.
  8. You are observing another culture highly populated and condensed and based on different values as to individuality and creativity. If we are suggesting we all adapt Singapore culture to prevent viruses that is absurd. Think about it. Chima is the extreme example of this kind of culture and it is the origins today of most of these viruses. Any society has viruses. It depends on standards of cleanliness regardless of culture. On the other hand you are dead on suggesting we follow Singapore's lead on early testing and standards of cleanliness..Japan too... which I know is your real point...so hopefully we can learn from their early warning and testing protocols..especially large urban centers.
  9. Us Trekies call them the Borg. You hit on a point...it's called cultural values.
  10. That is a point I am afraid just will not register for some..on a brighter note although it's very early still the pens seem to be coming in the heavy hit areas of Spain and Italy...also early tests on anti malaria medication seems to be promising....again very early but actest on lupusxand non lupus patients is very promising....anyways ....
  11. It is also sign of fear.. Masks are needed by health care providers not you and I...
  12. ...the myth of globalism and free trade....
  13. Soldier haiku kind of like it..
  14. You posited subjective opinions trying compose them as facts to incite anger and conflict between forum members. You fabricate the existence of a video and its contents. You engage in lame ass Russian rhetoric. The only unfortunate thing is Wes is so blinded by his hatred of Trudeau he can't see how you pose as Trump ally when you have asmuch contempt for Trump, all of the US and Canada as Wes claims he has for Trudeau. I defer to Mr. Mayer, I have grown truly bored with your cold war recycling project. Go penetrate some Northern air space.
  15. Slow down Wes. He is no traitor. His motives are not treasonous or treacherous. I question his policies too but to call him a traitor is bullshit. He is motivated by genuine intent to do what he thinks is right. If I had a choice between him and Harper I choose Harper but please referring to him as a traitor or whore is extremist name NO I do not agree with much of what Trump does either and I have equated his rhetoric with that of totalitarian dictators and loatyedchis dalliances with totalitarian dictators Erdogan, Putin, and Kin Jung Mussolini but I give him the same benefit of doubt during this crisis as I do Trudeau. Putin? If you are at a place and time you equate Putin with being an ally of the US like Stalin was you need to shake your head man. Stalin only became an ally when Hitler attacked Russia. He had no problem going into Poland with Nazis and committing crimes of inhumanity against Poles. He massacred millions of Ukrainians and other innocent Russians, Georgians, on and on. He was as evil as Hitler and never a genuine ally like Churchill, just an ally of convenience, and if you want to pretend you do not know the difference then not much I can say. Churchill never turned his back on Stalin and neither did Patton, Trump's hero. Trump's dalliances with Putin, Erdogan, Kim Jung, make a mockery of what the US fought against and defeated. What makes any country admirable is a willingness to put partisanship to the side and work together for the greater good during a time of crisis. Look at how some fly flew in the window to lay eggs in the shit. That is all flinging it does.
  16. ...Paul Henderson...Yvon Cournoyer...Phil Esposito...you want some more...theirs names are etched all over your butt....
  17. Teaching democratic precepts to a Putinski. This is hilarious. Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee..true patriot love in all thy beavers command...
  18. Then you are very naive about Putin...and equating Trudeau et al to those you have is extremist bullshit.. and should be no surprise it attracts Russian dung flies looking to hatch their eggs on this forum.
  19. It raises questions with many governments and their preparation. With the exception of South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan, all governments were caught off guard.
  20. They asked me once to get information from a Russian. I said why would I want a dose of syphilis....nah I prefer getting info from people with two eye brows. I get my timing from the greatest Marxist, Groucho.
  21. With friends like that y'all need to count on us ancient ones to remind you that bein cozy with Vladimir is just like a bad case of hemmeroids.
  22. Scott welcome to my world. Its full of smoke and mirrors but in the end you always figure it out...the smell if collognecgives it away...lol... ..or you could retire...cuz you suck at this man...I much preferred the good old days with Pravda...now Leonid was quite something...he had flammable bowels..he was smoking one of those stinky Russian cigarettes getting a colonic and boom the methane and his cigarette went kaboom..his eyebrows never grew back right...go figure...now that said you done...this is Frostbite Falls Boris....no Capt. America here for the Red Skull ...just a bunch of beavers and moose. The plural of moose is moose. Go figure that too. Stop Russian Slow down
