Introducing... the Fetus Tax Credit!
Canuckistani replied to kimmy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If this bill is about helping to allay medical expenses for pregnancy, why is it needed? Can't you already deduct medical expenses of all sorts? If not, why not? Why single out pregnancy, which is a voluntary condition, but not allow deductions for cancer, say? Why is this bill needed at all? It's the camel's nose in the tent. -

Don't you live in Canada? You have no peace? Israel doesn't have peace now. Certainly won't as long as it pursues its lebensraum policies. Israelis are certainly damned if they do there. Hard to play the victim when you're the one taking more and more territory. But Jews have peace in many parts of the world. -

What are you trying to say here? The Palestinians are happy their land is being taken from them? Man the contortions people get up to on this topic. Pretzel logic. Israel can't win this by following their Lebensraum doctrine. They'll never have peace that way. And they'd be doing to the Palestinians exactly what they accuse the Palestinians of wanting to do to them. A two state solution is the only one that has a chance of working. You don't show willingness to follow that solution if you keep stealing more and more land from your enemy. The US should stop all support for Israel until all settlements are closed. Once that happens, the West should fully support Isreal (behind 67 borders). If attacked under those circumstances, it should be considered an attack on her allies, including the US and Canada. Until then, let them play their expansionist games on their own dime and risk. -

Funny, you didn't say that to the guy on here who shares your pov and brought up the whole ethnic cleansing thing re the settlements ie shutting down the settlements is ethnic cleansing according to him. Where were you then? -
Very good points.

Except that low-income person isn't in a position to spend the average amount per resident. Ie their purchases over the year would generate much less than $497, while the high rollers would generate more. But you're right, it's a regressive tax. Better to have the property tax be progressive, ie the more your house is worth, the higher the property tax rate is on it. -

It's the this is the way it's always been defence. But note the screaming when the enemy talks about pushing Israel into the sea. All of a sudden that's genocide, but pushing the Palestinians into the Jordon is just meh. -

If they build stuff over your house, with force of arms behind them, you might not be so sanguine about it. You might even try to kill the people doing it. -
Is Israel about to start another Gaza carnage?
Canuckistani replied to Hudson Jones's topic in The Rest of the World
Wow, it's Animal Farm all over again. Israel using "Lebensraum" and divine right arguments to annex land, their supporters claiming Holocaust Palestinian casualties are just staged, Israeli minister threatening holocaust on Palestinians. Their religion already has the master race stuff built in. What's next, Israeli greeting becomes Heil Bibi?- 637 replies

So, no country for the Palestinians? Would they all be ethnically cleansed or allowed to stay in greater Israel? The latter would be a ticking time bomb that would eventually destroy the Jewish state. Creating a Palestinian state seems like the only hope there is for peace in the region.
-
If the settlers have a claim to the Palestinian land they took by force or threat of force, then all the displaced Palestinians have right of return to Israel. Not a good solution in my eyes for either side.
-
Beautiful. The Germans couldn't have argued better in the Sudetenland.

Canuckistani replied to a topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
It does? I thought we were busy settling land claims. Giving FN's a say in resource development in their traditional territories. Huge transfers of federal money. Don't see that so much in Israel/Palestine. -
In your scenario, then Israel would have to give right to return to the Palestinians. That's fine I suppose. Personally I don't see that working, nor saying much for the future of Israel as a Jewish state. Doubt the settlers would be keen to live in the Islamic paradise the Palestinians would likely create either.
-
Israel should withdraw to 67 borders. If the Palestinians continue aggression after that I have no problem with Israel attacking Palestine. But to take land means there will never be peace. You've got to leave the Palestinians something, or they have nothing to lose.
-
Until Israel closes the settlements, any ceasefire will never be effective. It just means the Palestinians cease their hostilities, while Israel just continues theirs.

Yes. It's aggression either way. Taking land is about as aggressive an act as it gets. If the US was doing it to us, we'd likely behave just as the Palestinians do, except for the ululating. -

How many settlements have been built or expanded, forcing Palestinians off their land? How is that any more acceptable? -
Calling for the holocaust while mourning for victims
Canuckistani replied to Hudson Jones's topic in The Rest of the World
Why be surprised. Israel was born out of a holocaust (the Canaanites) and many Jews use this as a justification for modern Israel to take all Palestinian land. Really, Israel seems to be living its own version of Animal Farm. -
God’s law versus secular law. Which is moral?
Canuckistani replied to French Patriot's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
He has no laws since he's never stepped forward to present them. Just always some human claiming to speak for God. Like Moses, who claimed God told him to holocaust the Canaanites, cause He loves Jews more than Canaanites. Sure He does. Enforcement is the same. Lots of humans willing to do all sorts of killing claiming they're enforcing the will of God. -
Well someone finally did it! Someone took Muslims to a HRC

When we were in a Japanese restaurant recently, I said domo oregato to the waitress and she looked at me blankly. My Japanese friend leaned in to tell me most Japanese restaurants are run by non-Japanese. IMO, if you speak English, you should be eligible for a job in Canada. The employer and employees should speak enough English to function. -

Vancouver will soon be less than 50% white. How long are you going to sing that song. You mean if an Asian person won't hire whites or blacks in Canada, that's not racism. When native people kick the shit out of a white kid, that's not racism, but the reverse is? Sounds pretty oppressive to me. -

What are traditional Canadians, and can you give some examples of fathers killing their daughters and boyfriends (boyfriends of the daughter presumably)? -
