  1. I should make my comment on this thread It would seem that some women have indeed become bitter with the run-in with men. It is of course distressing that "men still rule the world" literally and whether women admit it to themselves or lie to themselves, the truth is men play a big part in controlling an evitable outcome in women lives. I do however sincerely believe that men want to care and respect the female. The trouble is that men lose their control if they allow women to become "free" (used loosely). In its simpleness I believe that if a women decides to stay at home, have kids, clean the house, manage the groceries, be ready for sex at a command etc. gratefully do the female chores, and a man can afford this will - it would is a blessed time to live in paradise and sing praises. But, alas, women want their men to share the dish washing, change the diapers, have the men stay at home with the baby, punishable such as no sex when you get married etc. plus the women want to be the earners to have a girl's night out of their own, to cheat just as the men, and embed naughtiness in parts of their disposition such as men will always be men is replace with "a woman thing" - like none of this double standard anymore The result, well men are turning to each other for comfort. They are also becoming openingly effeminate, gone metro sexual, as if to follow the fashion of a woman, plus it seem natural now that they also find their male counterparts sexually attractive. I believe that there isn't much female guidance around, like public figures that other females can follow - not these loud mouth nut wit that despise men
  2. It is better to own since you are seeking opinions. weighting the rental vs the mortgage why pay someone else's mortgage? Treat it as an investment, and assets you are building ie if you can afford to tie up some of your funds. Heck it is better to own a whole bunch of properties if you are a capitalist and seeking to invest wisely and to make some money - money has no emotional value its all logical and up to you how you sport it. I mean there is something about working hard for what you earn to simply watch it slip through your fingers like that.
  3. I guess the 407 was build for luxury. I can't afford to travel on this highway because it is rather costly. I have received a few of the bills so I know - I try my best to avoid making myself poorer.
  4. For politics In order to survive politics, I think that politicians must know: 1) How to get elected 2) How to govern 3) How to play politics and stay in power In how to get elected it is better to be selectively leading left - there are far too many poor people who outnumbered the rest of the clan and can only relate to social goodies. It is easier to collect the masses of people and organise than try for what you believe. Look at the liberals they can have optimal support in what they say until folks really realize what they say. I mean being stubborn in believes - it never works, and will simply rebel on your own ideology In how to govern, well being conservative can only drive a boost into the economy - so it is better to be right on how to manage money so that there is enough wealth accumulation to grow yourself How to play politics, well as it goes, declaring you are in the centre of everything can really cause you no headaches, heartaches, break-ups or switching ideology. For myself I still prattle left on social issues but extreme right on economic matters. I think my social issue derangement comes from my still being in university and under some drunken influenced of those elitist academics On the issue of which leaning men - women preference should always remain with the liberals, they never seem to run out of fun or social skills
  5. Merry Christmas to everyone on the board. I am looking forward for some quiet quality time with my kid over the holidays. I am accused of not being "girly" so also looking foward to doing more girly stuff. I don't know that folks should take time off like a short period in the Christmas to change their entire persona...so I see no big changes in store for me as a resolution for the New Year. But, hope your holidays turn out to be very speacial as mine is going to be. Cheers for the holidays RB
  6. Square blame - MEN Women - they complain much and are dissatisfied with their body a whole lot. 95% of the time women find faults on their body. They strive for the super-model look standard. You know the rest, wanting to be a model does not work. An average North American woman weight is 144lbs, do the math models are 108-116lbs. So when the women turn around and ask the men about how they look, a man thinks and identifies "trick question" - some little voice advise the men "don't answer that". So the women reckon if they don't do something drastic they'll lose their man. I mean he is far too silent about looks, which brings me to why the market if full over cosmetics to cover so called flaws. Men are insightful and will read into their women wants, which by the way is directly link the male wants and appealing visual of women - men are the ones who head up the cosmetics industry prepare their women strive for the beauty standards.
  7. its a strange faculty. the girls are doing well and we are not worried about them any longer! And, what's happening to the boys? Well, take a look...messing about, doing nothing or perhaps thinking about how to manage the accumulation of monies their father have toiled for. With all their smarts, girls have not been able to gain some power, much less reproduce power my thinking is boys still rule
  8. The Google toolbar now have spell check for forms on the web - so it will work here!!
  9. The outcome can even be worse than that. A mother may confide in manners which undermine the daughter's healthy maturation. The daughter may grow to hate her father or distrust men in general. There are no limits to how an inappropriate parent-child relationship can damage a child. A child may feel guilty for the family's demise. I never get it, mothers always know what is best for their children, but when left to raise a daughter alone, somehow I agree there is a breakdown when the father is absent. I don't have a statistic but I can vouch that most of the girls did not do very well. They perhaps are too rebellious, highschool dropouts, take a minial job, follow the wrong crowd etc. tattoos lots of those show some defiance I disagree. They are starting to become too common. Anybody can get a tattoo. Just wait until brandings become popular. You are correct that you can have your tattoo anytime. My tantalising was making reference to women hiding their tattoes only for certain eyes.
  10. Well, hmmm the first video I saw of naked men was no no, sylvester stallone..gasp. My initial thought, this is what men get excited about. I believe that porn industry really make big business off men, they are the ones who purchase the goods. Porn films of men & women, women & women, men & men and made for men. I find it hard to believe that the vast majority of women own a few porn movies. I don't have a copy of a porn movie - drats... but I do have books that really spins the imagination into a wild frenzy. Women don't have to watch porn to be turned on, they have their own deviant ways to become stars for their mates in private - I suspect however, tips from the movies could actually make a woman reach for the imaginable. Perhaps that is a reason to encourage females to watch porn to please themselves mostly. My opinion the females are exploited in the porn business. What I don't know, is how many men and their mates would often sit to view a porn film. Porn is not really acting, not classy, no drama according to the ladies. I don't think "honey, you will see superman return several times" will do it. Men though are fixated on porn - this Fed ex guy wishes to blackmail spears with their amature capture...exploit...must be some nightmare for the female I mean I never heard of a female making a porn of a male and blackmailing him. Well possible exception, perhaps to show a wife what it vividly means when they say cheating... my thoughts
  11. Why shouldn't a mother be in control of a mother-daughter relationship? Mothers are wiser than their offspring I hope and should be able guide their daughters. I admit in the mother - girlfriend relation, the child loses respect for the mother figure. Tattoos have made it into mainstream. Many folks are having tattoos and not frown upon. Even the TV carry tattoo shows. I mean it is now tolerated. The difference: men tattoos are always visible and huge while the women are smaller and hidden. Strangely also, women seem to stick to the nature pattern: flowers, earthy images, fishes and they are placed into erotic zones on the body. I was thinking about this, and admit that subtly perhaps these etchings indicate a hidden vulnerable self, where tattoos were once considered forbidden analogous to forbidden sex of long ago. That if I combined a small pretty rose on the lower back of the woman and secretly show it to a man might indicate a rebellious person that need to be tamed. Also daring about sex. Tattoos have become wickedly tantalising.
  12. i saw parts of the comedy clips on TV, he needed the punchline, kept waiting for it ... otherwise it is bad taste if you can't articulate charm even at the racist jokes....i mean if folks felt insulted it really was not comic relief i guarantee
  13. sorry, i didn't have time to follow all the threads closely, and it escape me to search - i didn't have the time...apologies I doubt it. There is already a huge fiancial benefit to married couples staying together, and the tax benefit provided by income splitting is pretty insignificant by comparison. Yet, despite these beneifts, couples still split. I doubt that the benefit provided by income splitting will sway them to stay together. somehow I always believed that "marriage" would maintained itself, but the statistics always prove wrong. Well, in a social context, the splitting of income can also further demise the institution of marriage to greater divorces and greater numbers in common law. But, it does create a disincentive for perspective mothers, it encourages women to stay at home. Rich folks are the ones who usually allow their mates to stay at home for the longest while so perhaps they will benefit the most? Poor people like myself won't benefit at all - there is nothing to distribute/redistribute....
  14. so who will it benefit: - the rich? - the poor? - middle class I think in a social context that this income splitting might allow married folks to actually stay together.
  15. i feel that education (higher) is quite indispensable to a wise person. i hasten to say that for those of us who have continued with education to the umpteenth degree still seek the beauty of the mind. for jobs i vouch to say that a current minium requirement to compete for opportunities is a degree Chuck U. Farlie since you live in Toronto - hope you are able to look up TX Communications are always looking for initiative minds.
  16. I cast my vote but not as a boy. Anyway, I have no issues with working with "black" or any other color of people for that matter. As long as they have the drive to work, competence, can perform and contribute positively to the bottom line. I do have an observation though my comedian lens that allows me to relish in my reputation of an iconoclast, however resentful some folks might find my jabs. So, well, somehow black people are still very poor and stuggling more so than other "colors". Someone mentioned to me today that blacks are now blaming Mexicans, and Asians for their problems of not coping. The blacks feel that they were in America first, and should have something to show (perhaps that they have done good for themselves) - ironic even the blacks are saying no more Mexicans. But, I mean the blacks are displaced from power. At first glance one can identify a problem trying to "act white" and having to cope with the failures. But also, they are not doing well in school, and don't seem to have good jobs or maintain their jobs, and the spiral we know is the destruction of the social lives - most of the time I see the black folks on TV, it has to do with a gun and people dying. We don't see much visibility of blacks in politics. The only significant records of blacks in history is them being slaves and somehow I feel that this history is psyched into their mentality.
  17. The dove folks do say that only 2% of people think they are beautiful. Maybe this explains the low self-esteem of people. I mean count the many times you: - wish to be thinner - feel like a failure - doubted your looks - either too fat, tall, short, - doubted your abilities - listen to troubles of others and felt really good - compare yourself to others - and don't measure up - call yourself a failure Dove is marketing a product, the altered woman is our current culture. And, well, what do you know, she still ends up on a billboard, then the masses get to compare and measure statistics at that point. But, I can compliment a good music when I hear it - the music beat was constant in the video and the piano at the end excellent
  18. Well apparently, the folks are narcissistic - they like to look good when they "pose" for the camera. Nowadays with the digital camera, they can delete and repose for the proper picture. Plus the fuss about seeing the shot immediately. so firstly, with regards to this slimming effect camera would the already thin folks disappear, and how about the those with weight issues? i mean it is feel good and all that you can construct the person you wish to be, longer head, slimmer body instantly and send it off to someone, or get it printed, but isn't this creating some more body and social issues. It's implying that lots of people are not comfortable with their image anymore.
  19. That isn't how it went down, Craig Read and I disagreed over the nature of the rules and he was removed. There wasn't a specific incident that lead to his removal, but rather a series of oversights on his part. Why do you care so much about Craig Read and something that happened over 2 years ago? A ban is a ban and respected. The forum demands you defend and respond to what you post. I don't think there are too many proud Canadians around who can spout about political ideologies, opinions, & stuff without fear. I mean folks are always cautious to be politically correct, and also have to defend what is politically correct. I am not sure if we wrote to Read via his website he would feel such a pressure to respond as he might when he contributed in the forum.
  20. You remind me of Nostradamus (SP?), your writing is like a puzzle. Was Craig Read modish? while complaisant? while relentless? If he was, was that a good thing or a bad thing? Well an enthusiast he was for sure. (a good thing) I can certainly compliment a man for his commanding style of writing. Argus has a similar style..intimidating and forceful. (a good thing). But, also I have observed that those who follow through with their points do not need to inquire of others what they should say, because they already represent what/who they are. It is reflected in the opinions, their research, the assemble of facts, the links provide etc. (a good thing) Good thing, I am done with compliments to Mr Read. Some of us just cannot see what is action, until it is done. (bad, very bad) So now for the homage, it takes more wariness in my private estimates to write on disappointment - i mean how can one blame "failure to follow rules" to overshadow interaction with a fine person. Cheers
  21. RB, thank you for your thoughtful writeup. I think I understood everything except the above paragraph. Was he responsable for his own fate, or was he a victim of his political persuasion. I guess that is the question. It sounds like he was a powerful and intelligent poster. Perhaps too much so. The war comment is a simplistic view of how war get started such as a war in Iraq Anyway, there are the forum rules. Then there are subtle demands (unwritten): - can you be modish? while complaisant? while relentless? Then the other questions are: - can you debate - find that usual finesse - can you separate what is simple, singular or extraordinary from dross - concur with others when assailed - respect yourself and others, like take responsibility for brazen behaviour (includes posting while drunk) Or of course you get to decide: - I wish to be an irascible "man" who flies into a temper - I can take on the mob and exacerbate an issue to a zenth level. well, there are the forum rules ... and it is enforceable, there is a banned feature. I can't answer why Mr Read was banned, perhaps it lies in the subtle demand.... any other questions, ... you decide Thanks
  22. Who are they? Are you speaking of myself - I thank you for the vote - no thanks though. I already don't participate much. I try for once a week, well unless I have to defend/expand on what I post I think Greg is good at this, he'll figure something I am sure.
  23. Well, to clarify my previous post on this thread. Firstly, as an observer and contributor of this forum, I didn't often agree with Mr Read's politics but I respected that he had a different take on issues. He was motivated, and eager like the politicians, and especially at times rather very creative in his thoughts, in his fluency of writing and imagery. I mean it forced curiosity and stimulated discussions. Plus he seem to be widely read i.e could easily expand ideas, was intellectual. I also felt that he respected others in the forum. Well he must have read the majority of contributions at that time because he had an opinion in many areas and he replied to as many posts. Read always insisted that he mostly attack ideas put forward by others and I agree with him. I find that the folks become very sensitive when they spend their enormous amounts of time to articulate their points only to have it shaken apart. I guess some of us weaver easily. Anyway, I felt the posting war we don't want at Mapleleaf. I mean its human nature and all, people feel like they are being attack, then they denounce and blame someone else for their lack of tact and exposing to them to say "new information", and further reducing the attack folks to live dangerously. What I can say though is I am of the opinion that Read was sincere in his politics, his write-ups and in what he contributed here however radical or "right" he may have been. That's all.
  24. I was a fan of Craig thanks for the link
  25. oh heck! i am on 3 weeks from now - i ain't going to make it...
