  1. Interesting watching the numbers but they can change a lot with little or no warning then change back again. Next year will be when the numbers start to matter. Being ahead today means little to nothing.
  2. I'm all for it. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm in Australia. When I was 16 I wanted it. It really annoyed me that neither of my parents ever voted and they still haven't. Since I have been of age I have voted in every election I've been eligible to vote in. I do not see a downside to allowing 16 and 17 year olds to vote.
  3. Well thats a real pisser. She has important things to do. I wonder how the showrunners will change it.
  4. BBC's History Hour podcast.
  5. Last one I saw was probably Interstellar. Great effects but thats about it. The story was kind of dull and somewhat predictable.
  6. Definitely not a good idea at this stage. Personally I do see him as a child soldier. He didnt chose to go to Afghanistan. Very few kids get to chose where their parents move to. Given he has now been in prison nearly half his life he likely has some problems as a result. He'll need some sort of therapy if he is to be released at some point.
  7. I turned 18 three weeks after the 2006 election which really annoyed me. I wanted to vote. In that election I likely would have voted Liberal. In the 2007 Ontario election I voted Green and 'No' to electoral reform. A vote I now regret. In the 2008 Federal election I also voted Green. My Green votes were more of a protest vote due to my unhappiness with the other options. In both the Federal and Provincial elections of 2012 I voted NDP. Since I've been voting I have only voted for one candidate who actually won the election, Paul Dewar. I'm quite happy with Dewar overall.
  8. I dont think I'd ever vote for any version of a conservative party but I must say I prefer the old PCs by far to the current federal Conservative Party.
  9. Im an NDP member and I'm for a merger, or at the very least talking about it. Neither the NDP nor the Liberals alone stand a chance against the Conservatives.
  10. Bob Dylan-Desolation Row, Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands, Ain't Talkin' All great songs.
  11. If so that solves a lot of my problems!
  12. I'd say Manning. He seems more reasonable generally.
  13. The Conservatives would be yelling and complaining about the same things if they were the ones in opposition and the Liberals were over spending on jets. Its what opposition does.
  14. Still meaningless. Broadbent got close to Mulroney in the polls in 88 but it didnt translate into anything substantial. 2015 is when the important things will happen.
  15. No surprise. Now it'll be Obama vs Romney. Should be interesting.
