    Wayne McQ - I have been a lawyer for 34 yrs. I am offended at your recent post. You obviously have no idea what it takes to become a lawyer or MBA. I agree that doctors deserve to well paid, especially those that save sick children. Society rewards certain professional groups becuz society thinkd their talents are valuable WITHOUT A UNION

    In my opinion, the RCMP killed an innocent man when they taered him 4-5 times. Surely they could have defused the situation by finding an interpreter. He was non threatening to the officers and others. He was holding a stapler for goodness sake and walking away. The police tasered him imprudently for their own extra-judical punishment and should have seen that he couldn't speak English. What is worse is that the RCMP were going toperjure them selves until they realized that an observer had a video of the incident. So much for upholding the law. My question is why do our judges still believe them???

    socialist - Alberta doesn't want you - maybe BC will. Teachers are already well paid for their job. Considering time off teachers only work 75% of the calendar year ( summer 9 weeks, Christmas break 3 weeks, spring break another week, PDD's another week - total time off=14 weeks) I know of no other profession that has so much time off. If teachers are making 60-75k for doing what they do, that extrapolates to approx. 100K/ yr for an entire year. Also, teachers receive generous benefits and a pension. When you analyze the facts - teachers are well paid. Your bitchin is getting old. If teachers have it so bad, find a more challenging profession.
