  1. With the lame collection of idiots in the Liberal hen house race with Bob "hey let's spend our way out of the recession" Rae to Michael Ignatieff: "where is Canada on the map again? It's been so long since I lived here". To the totally haven't got a chance in hell of winning candidtaes like Kennedy that Justin Trudeau (who the hell cares what you say Justin) is supporting, it is indeed fantastic times for the conservatives. With one of these baboons running their party the conservatives are assured of an election win. By the way Go Leafs Go!
  2. Great news the C-17 is an extremely capable aircraft with a superb reputation it looks like the government is going full steam ahead according to the MERX posting a few months back with an ACAN, advanced contract award notification. But somehow we will screw up the procurement of this aircraft like the Sea King replacement (trying to build a new fly by wire helicoper which is a new FAR certified type ugh gives a headache thinking about the difficult certification issues) is currently undergoing and now the tactical helicopters. I think I read the project is called MHLH - Medium to Heavy Lift Helicopters and the tactical airlift project- Hercules replacement, FWSAR is now delayed with the new government but could start up again before the end of the year. Another new project that the governement is looking at is utility aircraft for Goosebay(?) and Yellowknife possibly a Bombardier aircraft Dash 8 type Q3/400($ and jobs talk huh Bombardier) even though this came out of nowhere except fo the fact Yellowknife might have gotten on board with the FWSAR program which was looking at the C-27J [www.c-27j.ca] or the C-295. Hopefully the folks that need these aircraft will get them quick. The conservatives seem keen to get the aircraft as soon as possible. Now will have to see if the procurement process (bureaucratic red tape) and if the conservatives remain in power long enough to put airplanes in the air...
  3. Excellent initiative and long overdue in this country. PS when the hell are we the average slobs gonna see any benefit of the millions of our tax dollars spent on the domestic oil industry at the pumps? Do we really have to resort to Crisco oil and sh*t to solve our energy woes?
  4. Hehe I am going to put my pets on the census this year hehe. Imagine a 80 year old fart with 3 year olds, should be a hoot. What the hell they gonna do send me to prison? At least I won't have to eat Kibbles and Bits there and I'll have a warm place to live.
  5. Quinton you old doom and gloom monger ya. You will be a fossil when the planet collapses and so will your offspring so don't worry. Buy the biggest gas sucking vehicle you can, reproduce like mad and have a wonderful life, it is too short to be so gloomy. Now excuse me the missus is in heat - time to make babies!
  6. I would have taken this to court if I was Harper after all what are we doing with all this high priced hired help? We are supposed to use it when the governement requires it. Remember this; all polititians are the same, on camera they rant and rave about how bad the other party is then go out socializing together.
  7. Just in case the taliban ragheads monitor this forum: "suck farts and choke scumbags"! Ha ve a nice day and it is nice to be back in the forum
  8. What the ? The problem isn't that there aren't enough jobs it is that the jobs that are out there are the shits. I know of one person who was recently laid off. He is an immigrant from Germany 40 years ago and is a master tool and die maker/machinist in the Toronto region, he is 60+. With the downturn of the north american auto industry there are no machines being manufactured for automotive production, the sector in which this person worked. In fact several large machine shops are/have been closed, under bankruptcy protection etc. Any positions now available are $16 an hour entry positions and they are being filled by the Tamils, East Indians and Pakistanis who often do not have their papers, do lousy work requiring costly re-work resulting in future lost contracts due to poor workmanship OR this work has been outsourced overseas to some scummy third world nation. This has the CEO's, accountants and investors pissing themselves with glee that they are doing such a fantastic f'ing job but at what expense to this country and the workers they don't give a crap about. Hell Sobey's in Toronto posted a help wanted ad for their warehouse at $15.50 and hour for unskilled labour so why should anyone stay in school for 4 years if you get paid the same as a general labourer? Sure the left coasters (BC and Alberta) where everything is zippity doo fantastic can say move out here but do you want another million people out there? The country is already slanted to the left. Some folks don't want to move or can't like some folks suggest. This is a very simplistsic response to the easts woes. I have lived all over the country and I would say the best places to live have been in the maritimes. Why the hell would people want to give that up friends and people that really care about you to live in TO, Cowtown, the big Zero or Granola Country. Is mass homelessness the real issue being caused by a change in ecomomic direction, what will happen next and how do we protect ourselves from obsolescence.???
  9. I think the act like all acts will have its flaws and may require refinement down the road but all in all it looks to be a very well put together piece of legislation. Excellent initiative by the conservatives now lets see if the pablum pukers will support it.
  10. Excellent keep the wolves at bay. By having complete unrestricted access to the ministers this will hopefully keep them out of hot water making some dumb comments however all polititians having huge ego's must be driving them crazy by not being able to get in front of a camera at every opportunity.
  11. Rabble.ca is babble a lot of left wing jiberish. Farewell may it never see the pixels of another monitor again.
  12. Who cares what this dork says...another artsy fartsy liberal type.
  13. Well there isn't a link. The best chance you'll find would be the fact that there are some American's teaching at the U of C where Harper went to school. There isn't a real connection though. That is about all I came up with through initial searches, I am still lookin, but I really doubt I will find anything important. You can try Hill and Knowlton, though my post was not to imply that they are joined at the hip, only that Mr. Harper is more of a Republican than a parliamentarian, so adheres to Bush principles (or lack thereof). By his own admission he is a big fan of Ronald Reagan. He just has to do better if he hopes to convince Canadians that we should get behind him. Exactly we have a leader now, one that takes a stand on something unlike the "limp noodle" liberal leaders we have had the displeasure of heading our government that try and please every group under the sun never wanting to affend anyone. Way to go Ronald I mean Stephen.
  14. Well done Ralphy boy. Bout time someone rattled the tree. I don;t give a hoot what he does as long as it improves access to service.
  15. Finally someone gets charged. NDP Pat Martin got it right, it is gratifying to see criminal charges laid. Who's next? It is in fact good to see someone charged, but charged is all he has been, we'll see if he is convicted, and if convicted we'll see if the punishment fits with what an ordinary Canadian can expect if they commit the same type crime. I doubt if the same sentencing guidelines apply to politicians or beaueaucrats as it applies to the rest of us. Call me cynical but until I see one of these thieves actually behind bars I will remain sceptical. You got taht right. I highly doubt he will do any hard time. It still amazes me that with a ll the rules of the financial act and other government regulations they still continue to break/bend/twist the rules. My question os who the hell is their executive assistants and financial folks? They are the week kneed people who should be informing their superiors they are breaking the law and then reporting it accordingly if they don;t correct the situation. You would be out of a job by doing the right thing. Oops sorry there are no ethics in government circles what was I thinking.
  16. Good lord who else is going to come out of the closet and run for this party, every rejected, fruit, freak and other goof is putting their name forward for this job. Is it that bad in Liberal Land? PS I see Scotty Brison is taking French language training. Does he speak it with a lisp?
  17. Juvenile boot camp for all the little farts. Start em early say walking age.
  18. He wishes you could cook. He will have to re-introduce you to the women's work room the kitchen [not to mention the love shack] that you have neglected since you started your self fulfilling occupation. His only dream of owning a business is a business like Seymore Butts has.
  19. We will never tell BWAA HA HA HA
  20. It is CADPAT not CANPAT.
  21. Barf all this appologizing is making me want to hurl, go ahead chuck shit it is just a damn forum to throw around ideas that a lot of times you would not dare say to a complete stranger. PS does anyone really know any politician?
  22. That doesn't answer my question. Part of the proposal is that anyone who violates the oath would be deported. The questions that raises for me is: how is such a violation determined and by whom? Under what authority? If I was an immigrant, I wouldn't refuse to take such an oath. As a citizen, though, I would. Just make it a criminal offence so it would be tried in court fairly before any deportation happened? Again, unless we define Canadian values how can we deport someone? And how are we to define Canadian Values? Are Canadian values one and the same as our laws? I ask because conservative Canadians and Liberal Canadians often have greatly differing values. Having studies values and ethics and having conducted numerous surveys of people asking to define what ethics and values mean I have received 1001 different answers. This is one of the hardest areas to define interestingly though when the 10 commandments were provided as a starting block all agreed these were good rules to follow. Also respect and compassion for your fellow man ranked very high.
  23. We all ready on terrorists radar screens. Look at were were are located geographically next to the big ugly beast cvalled the US. Look at who we do the majority of business with, whose values we follow to a large extent and where our military is at and whose military we support now and in the past, Are we a target - you bet. Not just from the traditional turbin twister terrorists we usually think of but the unsuspecting ones like a Timothy McVeigh type who may be sypathetic to their cause.
  24. Finally Bush and Harper have it right. Cross border protection. so your liberties will be slightly affected. That is the price of freedom and security -I am all for it. If you didn't think the US wasn't already looking out for our behind think again. The US thinks strategically (regionally and globally)while we think tactically (our own little country) - Big picture vs little. As for US troops arresting Canadian citizens I think you are stretching it just a wee little bit.
