Trudeau brings a professional camera crew into a gay bar to shake some hands and pretentiosly display his superior virtue, and no mention of the obvious insincere, shallow pandering. Yet this somehow becomes a story about Scheer's apparently flawed moral character.

Exactly, so you do get the obvious insincerity. Thanks for clearing that up.
Funny though, since pandering equates to the indulgence and exploitation of others for personal or political gain, it's odd that Trudeau gets applauded for exploiting gays for his political gain, while Scheer's moral character gets criticized for not doing so. Must be a liberal thing.
