"BARRIE, ONT. - Conservative Leader Stephen Harper reaffirmed a past pledge Wednesday that his government would scrap the Kyoto protocol on climate change and invest the money into other initiatives. Dr. Ken Green, an environmental scientist with the Fraser Institute sides with Harper saying more research needs to be done on global warming. Harper wants Canada to focus on smog-causing industrial pollutants promising his government would pass a new clean air bill by 2010 that would include mandatory limits on emission, but provided few details on how that would be achieved. "Now is the time for federal leadership to ensure that targets for smog-causing pollutants are reached," Harper said." http://www.cbc.ca/story/election/national/...yoto040609.html "The researcher suggests that atmospheric carbon dioxide -- often thought of as a key "greenhouse gas" -- is not the cause of global warming." http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2001/...10615071248.htm The environmentalists and liberals are scare-mongering in pushing for another boondagle that could cause billions of dollars wasted on something that is not yet factual. Global warming, melting of ice caps....could just be earth simply going through its natural cycle.

GPC candidate Elizabeth May interviewed

She was interviewed regarding Harper's plan to scrap Kyoto...and pretty much her tirade was purely anti-Bush. That's what's eating her goat. -

Because that wasn't the point nor the target of the action. It was only designed to get a reaction to aid the cause of the organization called Al Qaeda that is one of many who all strive for the same objective - to restore the former Islamic state of the Caliphate. Black Dog nailed it down pretty good with.... So correct. And, you will notice that the terrorist attacks occuring across the former Caliphate are all done by different groups. All with connections and all without a hard line of communications yet, they are all targeting the same thing - governments that are weak and stand a good chance of failing if a final push is given. It's a chipping action, almost like they were waiting for a caticlyism of sorts to push it all over the edge. So the wheel of orchestration had started. But what is the end gain? Isn't it the elimination of all infidels? And all non-Islams are considered the infidels. -
But how many have read the bible completely? I am one of those who have not. I had read a few parts here and there. Can we pinpoint the errors easily? How many of those like me can harbor doubts...and eventually be swayed? Catching a person at just the right time can cause confusion, doubts, disillusionment etc.. which can lead to questioning and eventually losing faith. If we currently enjoy and live in what we believe is sin, isn't it more tempting to grasp at something that could justify our present way of living? Most of what I know have been passed on to me through catechism...and by my parents, especially my dad who had made it his habit to read a page off the bible daily. When the movie The Omen first came out, I went to my father talking about the movie. He explained to me about The Revelation. So the movie had made an impact on me...mind you, I was quite young then too. But I agree with what you say. This movie can be exploited the other way around too. Gee...but that means putting millions more into these charismatic hollywood moguls' coffers.

No surprise there. The book was a dud too. One review I heard this morning suggested after seeing the movie you have to read the book to figure out what is going on. However, inspite of the bad reviews...Access Hollywood featured reports of long line-ups in cinemas all over the world. Of course they were also quick to feature packets of religious protesters...some with extremist (Greece?) demands that the movie ought to be illegal and those who've seen it ought to be jailed, a clever hollywood-style of insinuating, ridiculing and painting all religious people are a bunch of looney tunes. The book may've been written as for purely entertainment purpose....but Hollywood is more keen to use it as a tool to bash Christianity. It's the biggest religious group (as far as I know) with deeply seated beliefs among its followers that stands in the way of the kind of lifestyle Hollywood is promoting to society. So there's really a lot to gain to dis-credit and ruin it. And I agree with one of the posters that this kind of movie does challenge a follower to question his faith....and to end up turning away from it. Christ Himself had been taunted and tempted to challenge and to turn from His own faith by the devil. What an apt symbolism, if we look at it that way. Satan is clever indeed. It makes me really believe that the Anti-Christ is among us...and it's not in the form of one particular human being.

You believe the killing of thousands in 9/11 was not an example of existential threat to our way of life....that those terrorists were just a nuisance and dangerous pest? How come you think this way? -

Field day of what? Same-old, same-old? Of course a lot of Canadians are going to clamor to get out of there (some already did at the first sign of casualties). Consecutive years under confused Liberal leaderships had only bred a similarly confused public. Flip-flopping Liberals only bred flip-flopping supporters. And the supporters are still confused. THAT's what's really tragic. Anything new to that? -
Well, the reviews are not so good. It's a dud!

Don't we have wrongful convictions in Canada too? Milgaard? Unfortunately that kind of thing happens in all countries. -

It is a tragic loss for each and every soldier we lose in the battlefield. Gender makes no difference. -
How can that solve the problem? Criminals will still have their guns. And they're the ones causing the problem.

Whether it's an exercise of comfort or not....the need to worship had always been with humans. If cavemen from the prehistoric age were found to have been dabbling in some sort of worship....then it could even be possible that this need is innate.

Now I understand why the Liberals were persistent in painting Harper as "scary, scary." It was no made-up joke. In truth, the Liberals were really scared of him. They know he's "tenacious, tenacious".

Another fallacy is the reasoning that "law enforcers check the registry before going to a house to see if they've got guns." What a load of crap. Law enforcers treat ALL OCCUPANTS of any houses as possibly armed! Whether they are in the registry or not! That's how it should...and how it must be. And that's what a law officer indicated. That woman cop in Lavalle got shotgunned by someone who was NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE A GUN! So this registry is not only ineffective...but it also have a dangerous effect. It gives a semblance of FALSE SECURITY. It could lull enforcers to put their guard down.

It's not only the fact that millions were hidden, but that for several years, the AG had repeatedly reported of mismanagement and dis-organization. It is the fact that nothing was done to change the corruptible system that is galling. The previous government knew about the corrupt system....and they did nothing about it. It only proved to show that the Liberals had no wish to change the system. The Gomery inquiry only supported what the AG had reported in the past. The Liberals had been irresponsible and negligent of public funds...to say the least. If millions can be hidden, what more could've been squandered? A Dairy Queen was able to get a subsidy to extend a take out window. What made it different from a McDonald's or Harvey's to have been approved for that kind of help? What MP is related to this owner....that makes me wonder. I am interested to see the polling contracts. And everything else...especially from CIDA and other organizations overseas.

What about books and magazines? Have you checked the difference between US and Canadian prices?

I was hoping for a hidden agenda....namely abolishing SSM and anti-abortion. I'm still hoping.

Yes...and at the same time having to deal and worry about all these fatal STDs you get from sex. Talk about major conflict. With all the pressures...how can it be that fun being a kid anymore? In a way, makes one feel sorry for them.

A lot of people who thinks the way you do actually needs a human figure to make it through the rough edges of life: they rely on their therapist, or psychoanalyst, etc..,

To me, that theory of Jesus getting married does not surprise me at all. Lots of years back I had speculated a "what if..." scenario. Of course my imagination did not extend that far involving bloodlines....but I had wondered if there was some sort of romance between Mary Magdalene and Jesus. That's the romantic in me. I have not read the book....and I don't think I will. As for the movie, I'll just wait for the dvd release...if I get the inclination to watch it. I'm more interested in seeing the remake of "The Omen."

Value of a Fetus. Time to overturn Roe v. Wade?

Therefore ethnic cleansing should be legal. If majority of a population believe that a minority group is like a disease that ought to be purged....then it can be done. Did we have a referendum on abortion, btw? How do you know that majority do not believe a fetus is human? -

But, it had always been so. It had always been considered a human life by society. Hence we need not have to remind ourselves. Because there was the concern for women who were dying in sleazy abortion places...and of unwanted pregnancies...that birth controls came into play. But, it was not enough. Women were still going to these abortion places. So, abortion became legal....for up to a certain period of time. All those time, the argument was for the concern for these women who were dying and getting disabled by botched up abortions. Then suddenly, the argument is about "women's rights to do what they want with their body." Abortion for up to a certain period of time is no longer acceptable. Now, a woman can have it even to the last minute before the infant's head is out. We know that manipulated breaching and deliberate killing of the infant happens. If we've steadily escalated from simple birth controls to deliberate murdering of late-term babies.....what's next on the agenda? Apart-from-the-womb killings? Justifiable infanticide? We've heard of babies and children being thrown from bridges...so post-partum child killings? -
Well, it is said that some are wary of this new system. That one could find himself in the hospital for some simple reason (like a car accident), and though your chances are good at surviving....instead, you could just find yourself being an unwitting donor, and dead. Corruptions could happen anywhere. I know it sounds like one of those medical thrillers....but....

A long time since I have heard anyone suggest the old aspirin method of birth control. Reminds me of the lesbian I saw on TV. She was asked, "What do lesbians do in bed"? She replied that there are all sorts of things you can do in bed that don't involve using a penis. I would add that there are lots of things you can do in bed that don't involve the possibility of pregnancy. Less sardonically, I think the anti-abortion factions could help their cause by emphasizing responsibility in sexual conduct and practices, including greater sex education and use of condoms and other means of birth control. But, unless I am wrong, many of these anti-abortion people are also opposed to sex education and promoting birth control. If I am in error here, please correct me. I cannot speak for others but as far as I'm concerned, teaching sex education and promoting birth control is preferable than seeing unwanted pregnancies and society-sanctioned murders .
