  1. Talk about confused.... irrational relativism! It's a good lesson on squirm-atism though! A contortionist's delight!
  2. Exactly! Educate by showing an example. If you want to teach equality....you have to demonstrate equality!
  3. Well what do you know. He finally came out at last! He wants to debate only with his counterpart.
  4. And how did Hitchens rebutt? Anyway, that's your opinion. You're entitled to it. But I'm sure you'll understand why I'd rather listen to Craig.
  5. And you think atheists are not selective? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Hitchens Like Christian religion, you've got your denominations too. Best part is....you don't have a Bible as reference. You can come up and make up your own....custom-made to suit yourself. Relativists' utopia!
  6. That's where the great debate lies, isn't it? Your theory is unsound. The source of my theory is absolutely irrelevant to its validity. Your pseudo-psychoanalytic process about my inner thoughts is laughable when you supporters of evolution refuse to even entertain scientific evidence that contradicts evolution. What are you so afraid of? Dawkins used that very tactic on Wendy Wright, claiming "well, evolution is just a fact!"(declaring the "truth" of the very fact they're trying to debate) and asking her, "Are you a scientist?" (attempting to disparage her opinion). If that's the case, one should ask Dawkins why then on earth did he waste his time debating her??? Whoa. You mimic your preacher Dawkins in his interview with Wendy Wright (thread Munk Debates- link provided by Dre). You are short on the fuse too, aren't you? Like Bishop...er Cardinal...or is it Pope Dawkins, are you all red and splotchy on the face too, complete with the rapid eye-blinking? Why is it you guys inevitably resort to personal attacks? Talk about blatant adhominem. Not only are you psycho-analysing me but you're demanding I psycho-analyse myself. Further more, it's a feeble explanatory narrative to begin with. Santa Claus? Eh?
  7. I guess Jonsa will not explain.
  8. Moot argument. It's not addressing the point. My reply to this is the same as my previous reply to you.
  9. I understand the frustration when we see how the policies are so centered, and at times seem veering to the left. But we are a minority government. It is imperative to be the one to occupy that center! Have the others all get lumped together on the far left. There is a a shift happening in the horizon. Grass roots values are starting to fight for a come-back. There's a time for everything. Have patience.
  10. I'd say amen to that.
  11. My view, a desperate response to what's obviously effective Conservative ads.
  12. http://www.bluecollarphilosophy.com/2011/03/elderly-woman-protesting-abortion-in-montana-gets-a-firebomb-thrown-at-her.html
  13. Baloney! Wendy Wright is not a Bishop or a Cardinal. Dawkins' not confident to square off with Craig. I can see why. He lost his cool with Wright! Resorted to adhominem. But I see he ended up eating his insulting words and debated with Craig after all. I guess he realized he can't keep hiding behind his nonsense excuse....sooner or later he'll have to face Craig.
  14. William Lane Craig on Dawkins and Dennett (audio only) Note: Dawkins refuses to debate Craig!!! Btw, Craig debated with Anthony Flew just before Flew converted. UPDATE: http://greatcloud.wordpress.com/2010/11/17/william-lane-craig-debates-richard-dawkins/
  15. Now check this out. William Lane Craig vs Hitchens
  16. Open-mindedness my foot! Why then is the "theory" of Creationism not taught in school alongside the theory of evolution? Check out the link given by Dre on the other thread about Munk Debates. Dawkins interviewing Wright. His lame reiteration runs along the line, "it's the truth, so there!" That's critical thinking alright! If you think our foundation is more sand than rock....then there shouldn't be any worries if Creationism is taught along the theory of evolution. Call it a "theory" if that will make it feel less threatening.
  17. Did you forget to put the smiley face after that statement? What's wrong about preparing them? Don't you prepare your kids how to respond to religious people who try to convert them? And as I explained to you: Ignorance is when you just go along with the flow....and can't even have a firm grasp to be consistent enough in knowing the distinction between right and wrong.
  18. Read my statement. I have no gripe if other cultural holidays are included. But why exclude the Christian Christmas? After all, Christmas is supposed to be the celebration of the birth of Christ. The child rolled out various art projects depicting holidays from various cultures, including Chinese New year....but not even one showed anything related to Christian tradition. His dad spent the whole day with him in school as a volunteer for that day, and he lamented...."where is ours?"
  19. Thank you for the kind offer. Actually these are not my children. I provide daycare. And yes, I know Catholic Schools have good reputation....their standard of teaching is high. I've had a few children who attended Catholic School and you could see the difference.
  20. Thank you Dre for the link! Gotta be ready with my popcorn!
  21. I'm having problems with my sound here....got to wait for hubby to fix it. Anyway, why is Dawkins interviewing? Isn't he supposed to be doing any scientific works or something? I guess he's a real publicity hound! Must be another book in the making.
  22. That's true. It's like watching an amateur tackle the likes of a young Cassius Clay.
  23. The only consolation now is what to be a somewhat shift in the "climate." You know what's the shift usually by observing what Hollywood is churning up. Maybe it's just coincidence or wishful thinking on my part....but lately, Hollywoods's been showing movies with Christian slant, or positive views about God or life after death. The most recent movie I saw was HEREAFTER which was produced and directed by Clint Eastwood. I was surprised to see the part when the journalist/book writer asked a publisher who refuses to publish her book about her experience and the hereafter. She asked: "Why are you afraid to face this?" The Publisher says: "We are a political publisher." To which she countered, "This is political!" The movie also showed a scene regarding a scientist/atheist who ended up believing that there's something after death. It is a very provocative movie. Quite refreshing after decades of Christian-bashing!
