Canuk E Stan, I like Doug Fisher. The piece where he's pointing out a big raise in the collective Liberal IQ ever since Ignatieff joined them, and his proposal to the CPC to bring on David Frum to even it up is great. As are many others. I like his pro-Tory prediction too, but I thought to myself "why bother when I'm the tops here at MLW with my measily prediction of 160 seats?" (ever since Geoff chickened out, as I knew he would). I'm not as bold as Douglas is, but I've decided to raise my CPC seat count. If no for other reason than not wanting my prediction to look like child's play compared to Doug's prediction, and of course to give you, Stanislav, a faint hope of winning. Are you kidding??? Stress??? On the contrary. This campaign has been more amusing than anything else. You didn't dare to predict the winner earlier, before the CPC became a shoo-in , that's why you're not stressed today. All those who DID dare to predict before the CPC became a shoe-in are stressed today from either a) the ecstasy of victory (that would be me) or the agony of defeat (that would be all the rest of the Maple Leafers). PS - I caught the National Post using "shoe-in" instead of "shoo-in" four times in the past year. Why are they DOING that?

Thanks to the media and their owners I was able to make a sizable bet on a CPC majority back in early December when it still paid a bundle. Now all you get on them is 1 to 9. I never make big bets on sports because they have referees, and "the trouble with referees is that they just don't care which side wins."
