  1. They also lost because they never did believe in proper immigration and due to the fact France was bankrupt and could no longer properly supply it's own troops. Blame France for that. After the Treaty of Paris the French elite took to the boats and headed back to Frace leaving nothing but an army of farmers behind in Quebec. The only reason the French won at St.Foy was because of the deep snowdrifts. The British got bogged down in deep snow they were not accustomed to and were shot like deer stuck in snow.
  2. UPDATE: Looks like the Plains of Abraham re-enactment IS cancelled. And the reason it is being cancelled: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Plains+A...8442/story.html Does this means the feds are backing off because they cannot protect the Canadian public from terrorism. It certainly looks this way as I have not seen any effort or any indication of any arrest being made relating to the people who made "veiled threats of violence".
  3. Let me express this in response to your poisonous pen. In this recession and possible depression it will be my pleasure to watch Quebec go down the tube because of subsidies and large equalization payments the country can no longer afford.
  4. I generally use my older versions to and not on line versions that leave a lot to be desired. I know what you are talking about.
  5. You are full of it. Sure! And that is why for instance NOT a SINGLE Canadian province, especially Western ones, have not designated themselves 'officially English' like Quebec did with the French language. Sound very suspicious and most likely NOT permitted or discouraged by the federal government. But bilingual policies get the go ahead in provinces like Ontario that has a premier that is bilingual and promotes the French interest of 4% of the population of Ontario and ignores the English language interest of the majority of Ontarians.
  6. I can see little things amuse little minds. It is unfortunate you do not seem to believe the maintenance and protection of a minority language is the business of the country and it's citizens and not the business of politicians especially a French Quebec one acting in the capacity of prime minister. You can keep it in Quebec where it is applicable. Then stay dumb, but don't force the ROC to your dumb standards with corrupt minority language policies. The French language is an obsolete and dead language in Canada or else their would be no requirement for corrupt language policies to keep it alive. And guess what----one that is not propagated by government.
  7. That definition is the same whether a country or a nation. "A politically organized body of people under a single government" And in reality Quebec pretty well controls federal and provincial interest in that province. No they did not. They always wanted an explanation of what "a nation within a nation" really meant.
  8. It is in English. But to simplify it for you, what other province has a Meech Lake type immigration accord? Duceppe is a separatist and nothing but the official designation of Quebec as a country while still remaining partners with the ROC would satisfy him. Reminds me of that old song---Dream-m-m-m, Dream, Dream Dream, Dream-m-m.
  9. I have proven that dictated federal language legislation is corrupt and DISCRIMINATES. Legislated minority language policies do that automatically. You just don't get it and never will. To keep corrupt, discriminatory MINORITY language policies out of majority English speaking Ontario. Do you actually believe Quebec is the only province in Canada worthy of a provincial official language with a main purpose to destroy the Canadian de facto English language in Quebec? To give a minority language the same linguistic status by way of dictated language policy that the English language accomplished on it's own, is outright discrimination and oppression coupled with a total lack of respect for that English cultural achievment. That is the basic problem which is the French language was never FREELY propagated but artificially legislated. Isn't this the normal route given to obsolete languages that cannot and are unable to support and propagate themselves in a free democratic society. Absolutely! Canada ALWAYS has been multicultural country. BTW- In a official multicultural society I also advocate public schools and none other. Your nonsensical, distorted, discriminatory version of equality makes NO SENSE.
  10. Quebec's immigration policy is an 'accord' and different than immigration rights of othe provinces. Quebec has the status of a country.
  11. There is nothing to prove. The dominate English language of Canada never needed any sort of federal official designation. Federal language legislation making English and French official proves my point and is a farce. In reality the only language that discriminates is the French language that was given artificial language legislation in order to give that language the same status that the English language achieved ON IT'S OWN, in a FREE democratic society. This of course also discriminates against the languages of all other subcultures since Canada is suppose be an OFFICIAL MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY. It seems YOU DON"T GET IT.
  12. Please provide a link to back up that statement. The federal government for instance will not allow other provinces the right to choose and control immigration levels.
  13. So why is Quebec the recipient of more federal rights than any other province in Canada? The province of Quebec receives more federal rights than any other province in Canada. Charter rights provide even a higher level of socially engineered rights for Quebecers than other Canadians in a supposedly free society. Other provinces do not have equal status compared to Quebec. Their over attachment to the beliefs of the Catholic church and basic refusal to help themselves to come out of the rural era combined with their cultural beliefs is responsible for them lagging behind the ROC.
  14. Then you must be equally critical of politicians like Michael Ignatief who uses false and incorrect language describing Canada as "bilingual country". http://www.ottawacitizen.com/story_print.h...15&sponsor= We all are acutely aware countries can't speak and the large majority of Canadians are not bilingual. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilingualism_in_Canada Here is another web site utilizing improper use of the English language also resulting in a false statement. http://www.studycanada.ca/english/why_study_in_canada.htm
  15. This coming from you means zilch. I don't get corrupt language policies.
  16. Don't pay your taxes. Ontario will come out MUCH further ahead not duplicating services in minority French. Then maybe we will be able to properly repair our crumbling roadways with the money saved. Only because this is part of their nationalistic desires. I believe you have it backwards. It is Quebec that have more federal rights than any province in Canada with a language that is not only a federal official language but a provincial official language to boot. It also has superior Charter rights that comes complete with a federal bilingual policy. Quebec also receives the lions share of federal subsidies and federal equalization payments out of all other provinces in Canada. Your view of Francophones is only your own personal view as a Francophone living in Ontario and has nothing to do with the realities of French Canada as they actually are.
  17. In Ontario the large majority of jobs were created for the majority English speaking residents of Ontario. I realize you have no respect for that fact.
  18. How nice to see the Aboriginals teaming up with the Francphones once again in a attack against English speaking Canadians. But then again this is nothing new as this is how the Metis originated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9tis_people_(Canada)
  19. Quebec is not part of a 'moderate Canada' and is more closely related to Castro and Cuba than any other part of the ROC.
  20. Nope, only to make Ontario officially English speaking similar to 30 U.S. States: Canadian provinces retain the right to accomplish that as language falls under the jurisdiction of the provinces. Good for you. Certain provincial government documents, regulations, ballots etc. should be made available to all language groups where numbers warrant. But certainly not language policies designed to undermine the English language to steal jobs under the guise of services. Feel free to post whatever sign you want providing it does not interfere with the English language in areas where languages other than English might dominate a large area and does not include any type of discriminatory forced sign legislation. Only if French speaking taxpayers pay for it themselves. Only because they are linguistically insatiable and do not conform to Canadian nationalistic ideologies and expectations. Separatist ideologies are not part of the Canadian identity. Fabricated corrupt, discriminatory rights that make some Canadians more equal than others are rights I do not support.
  21. A Francophone's wishful thinking. Think back to the Plains of Abraham. Then feel free to move to Quebec where they think like you. Francophone's use Quebec style corrupt language legislation to CREATE bilingual policies in Ontario to steal previously English speaking only jobs.
  22. I don't think so. An MP responsibility is: http://canadaonline.about.com/cs/parliament/a/rolemps.htm We all know in the real world MP's tow the party line. IOW- Canada is ruled by a dictatorship and the level of corruptness is dependent on who that dictator is. Nope. Your the socialist who wants a Nanny State, a French Nanny State. You are twisted. Francophones are using Quebec style language legislation (sign laws and bilingualism policies) AGAINST English speaking Ontarians in majority English Ontario to advance French ideologies and gain English speaking jobs under the guise of 'services'. And you say I don't get it when I propose to counteract this corrupt Francophone attack with advocating The province adapt an 'official English language policy' to halt this aggressive Francophone linguistic attack.
  23. Yes. To keep Quebec style language legislation out of Ontario and to insure the English linguistic atmosphere remains vibrant, to continue to attract companies and investors that in most cases are culturally friendly with themselves being users of the dominant English language.
  24. Beats your CONTINUAL personal attacks and immature insults which as you know is against forum rules. It is the English speaking people of Ontario and their governments provincial and municipal that have created the atmosphere and favourable conditions for job creation in Ontario. Without proper MP representation especially relating to important constitutional matters parliamentary democracy is very similar to a dictatorship. It is like Lester Pearson once said: "When he has an assured majority in the House of Commons the Canadian prime minister is the nearest thing to a dictator." Obviously countries and governments are created out of nothing in your illogical mind. It is just that you keep forgetting. Good thinking. Sort of busts your little socialist bubble Absolutely, now that it has been proven oppressive, Quebec style language legislation has moved into Ontario.
  25. I don't agree with your sentiments but since Quebec got away screwing the ROC then why shouldn't the Aboriginals follow the same successful path. Enjoy. But you only have a limited amount of time left until Canada financially collapses supporting the abundance of solitudes and users of corrupt laws and unearned rights in this country.
