  1. American imperialism refers to the U.S. expansion of power and influence beyond its borders through territorial acquisition, economic control, military intervention and cultural dominance. Originated by Pres. Munroe, the Monroe Doctrine stated that any intervention by external powers in the politics of the Americas is a potentially hostile act against the U.S. The Truman Doctrine was described as globalizing the Monroe Doctrine. The Cold War was characterized by a geo-political rivalry between the U.S. and the USSR (Warsaw Pact). It included open conflict and global, political, ideological and economic rivalry. Cut to the chase – the U.S. sought to combat the influence and spread of communism worldwide. U.S. actions to contain the opposing ideology globally, are a prime example of U.S. imperialism. (Truman Doctrine)
  2. ..............like a cat that wants to be stroked but not touched? 😁 History makes interesting reading. Historically, American imperialism is what made the U.S. what it is today......... Left alone?😄
  3. A successful negotiation must include: - Iran relinquishes all weapons grade - random International inspections of all nuke facilities -strait opened and declared an international water way ................ if not? What has been accomplished?
  4. They are rich in technology, medicine, science, education, engineering, research ............ ferociously ambitious and patriotic. What will Arab-abia have in 30 years? Suppose women could look forward to getting out without a chaperone.
  5. .................... ironically, in time Israel has the potential to become the region's salvation. ............. nuke firestorm notwithstanding.
  6. ............. lives rent free in Donald's ego.🤣 In some respects Donald is like a rg-hd, ridicule / humor is something that wounds their soul. Charlie Hebdo?
  7. ............. post, any so-called agreed negotiation, Iran still retains the hammer in its ability to lob missiles into the strait. Daresay Xi is looking forward to the upcoming fireside chat with 'Donald' and even more so if the situation isn't resolved(???). Rumor is Xi is having a special chair constructed for the so-called, leader of the free world - several inches shorter. Provides nuanced perspective. 😄 Cluster fk, nay, Clown Show.
  8. The question is what degree of influence do they still retain. Do they still get a vote?
  9. Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in Feb 2022. Ukraine has weathered the storm for 4 years ........... heroically, the country is to be applauded. Likely Putin's motivation is security (near afar buffer) and his stated, geopolitical ambitions. Security centers around preventing Ukraine from joining NATO and by extension limit Western military influence near Russia's borders. Well known that Putin has demanded NATO halt expansion and withdraw troops and infrastructure from member states, post 1997. Today the majority of Ukrainians now favor ending the war through negotiations. The hope of joining NATO and the European Union have faded; approval of U.S. leadership has plummeted. The people see EU, UK as key to ending the war through negotiation - not capitulation. “We do not want Ukraine to capitulate. We insist on recognizing the reality that has developed on the ground“ / Putin Putin said that Russians and Ukrainians are one people “and in this sense, all of Ukraine is ours“. / Putin Some reality for Putin is that conservative estimates are that Russia has suffered over 1 million casualties since his, 'special military operation" began over 4 years ago.
  10. Definitely important for those supporting secession to have a clear understanding of what they're supporting. Over several decades political movements have advocated the secession of Alberta, with some groups supporting the creation of a sovereign union with the other provinces of Western Canada ...... other groups supporting the province joining the U.S. as a state or territory. A so-called sovereign union refers to self-governance and independence, maintaining authority over their own affairs without external interference ........... a sovereign country. I do believe the U.S. would have a strategic economic interest in Alberta. Akin to Philippines, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Florida, Alaska ................................. Greenland? ............. def don't want Kanucks to get paranoid, but if it's real it ain't paranoia. 😁
  11. Difficult to determine what upsets 'bone spurs' more, Iran or watching late-night CNN. 😄
  12. You seem to be insinuating that the Jews should just 'take it' because if they don't just continue to , 'take it', they're putting U.K. at risk? The Oct 7th attacks were a series of coordinated armed incursions from Gaza into southern Israel, carried out by Hamas and several other militant groups during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. In response Israel launched a large scale military operation into Gaza. Over 1200 Israeli citizens were murdered in the attack and countless taken hostage.
  13. ............ I'm sure you've heard of the 'big scoops'? I doubt u could even imagine the degree of justifiable resentment .......... rage? So no, not the sand nig*gars this time ........... they're too busy on campus and burning/shooting up synagogues.
  14. ............. in the abstract, our specie likely couldn't survive without the support of insects.
  15. ................. not sure, but Dodge is rumored to have bought new knee and elbow pads ......... wore the last set out in a week. 😄
  16. ........... UN Convention? So-called, transit states would hold Alberta at a negotiated disadvantage. (kitchen sink negotiantion) The only thing that makes sense is a move towards becoming a territory of the U.S. Gotta wonder if that is not the 'play' .......... a stalking horse using Nationalism as the enticement. Make Alberta Great Again?
  17. RE: "The carjacker's death is a tragedy for Marxists ....." / Dodge hey, u brought up the ideology, Dodge. 😄
  18. Joe Stalin was a Marxist - he recommended delivering a near death beating before final sanction.
  19. ............... really don't see any geo-strategic value in Alberta............ in that respect I'd take Manitoba / B.C.? Panhandle makes B.C. particularly attractive. How can a region with limited population ......... no large cities; per se, zero ocean access and a one horse pony re: revenue, ever succeed as a country? what am i missing? Arguably worse would be Sask.
  20. ..................must be the company? 😁
  21. ur never clear, Boozer................... but keep try'n ........... I enjoy ur malaise. ur other option, put these on..........bwahahahahahahahaha (gasp) 😅🤣
  22. On the other hand anyone has the potential to be Batman ........ given a firearm. Then ur fk'd.
