I'm not sure he's better than nothing, let alone a democrat... -

Bringing TDS and gag reflexes into the same convo isn't a pretty thought... -

No disagreement that Harris wasn't a good candidate, but I think she would still be better than what you ended up with. The upside is that we get to watch a bit more comedy tonight with his Iran address. You just can't find this type of entertainment value easily... -

Ahhhh... calling out Trump for what he is has upset you. That's a shame. -
It's the back of a napkin Kiddo... Each time goods show up at the port they just use the iPhone picture as the signed document to allow for export or import. You lose again little man...

You're not a very bright person, or... well, just not a very bright person. Maybe they just put it on the back of a napkin after a couple drinks in the bar? Probably good enough don't you think...

Wow... you can't be this out of touch, are you? https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2026/01/16/prime-minister-carney-forges-new-strategic-partnership-peoples To help deliver the full potential of these partnerships, and build up our domestic manufacturing sector, Canada will allow up to 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles (EV) into the Canadian market, with the most-favoured-nation tariff rate of 6.1%. This amount corresponds to volumes in the year prior to recent trade frictions on these imports (2023-2024), representing less than 3% of the Canadian market for new vehicles sold in Canada. It is expected that within three years, this agreement will drive considerable new Chinese joint-venture investment in Canada with trusted partners to protect and create new auto manufacturing careers for Canadian workers, and ensure a robust build-out of Canada’s EV supply chain. With this agreement, it is also anticipated that, in five years, more than 50% of these vehicles will be affordable EVs with an import price of less than $35,000, creating new lower-cost options for Canadian consumers. Agri-food and trade are foundations of the longstanding relationship between Canada and China – and China continues to be our second-largest export market. To renew and strengthen that relationship, Prime Minister Carney and President Xi secured a preliminary agreement-in-principle with landmark measures to remove trade barriers and reduce tariffs: By March 1, 2026, Canada expects that China will lower tariffs on Canadian canola seed to a combined rate of approximately 15%. China is a $4 billion canola seed market for Canadian producers, and this change represents a significant drop from current combined tariff levels of approximately 85%. Canada expects that Canadian canola meal, lobsters, crabs, and peas will not be subject to relevant anti-discrimination tariffs from March 1, 2026, until at least the end of this year.

Since 2019 our food prices have climbed only slightly more than those in the US, and we've only surpassed them in the last year. We import a lot of our food, have a weak dollar, and had retaliatory tariffs on some items until last fall. The cost of food is a challenge in every developed country... weather events/climate change, disrupted supply chains, high energy costs, and wars like Russia/Ukraine have a bit to do with it...

The deal is tariff relief and EV's, with more discussion on trade and investment. This was over 2 months ago, are you just catching up?

That's it, again... It's getting old though... maybe try your dog ate your homework, or along those lines.

You're taking my dislike for Trump pretty hard... I'm one of hundreds of millions that feel the same way. Get over it. -
Please cite this in the agreement Yes you did...

No, I never said it was. That's just how your mind works in believing that everyone on the left thinks that way, which I'd assume, the vast majority don't. So I just say that I wasn't the one who brought up ICE or illegals and you're back to it.... Yes, I agree with getting illegals in the proper queue for citizenship or deport them. Look as long as you want, you're not going to find another opinion from me. Trump, he's a fool... and if you look you'll find my comments to be real constant with this. -
Typically, lots of talk, just nothing to substantiate it... Canola and Seafood Tariff Changes (2026) Canola Meal & Peas: China suspended 100% tariffs on these products. Canola Seed: Tariffs were reduced to a combined rate of 14.9% (following a 5.9% anti-dumping duty added to the 9% MFN duty), down from nearly 85%. Seafood: 25% tariffs on lobster and crab were removed

What is it in the industry's comments that you didn't understand? Sure, go with that...

You have a very twisted way of thinking... Your little mind actually believes that anyone who leans or is on the left politically is anti-laws doesn't it. That's pretty sad... 1. I never brought ICE up DF. I bash Trump because he's very deserving of it, obviously... 2. That's what I'm saying DF... are you just realizing this? -

Why would ICE matter to me if I'm Canadian... I laugh at the misuse of that agency but end of the day, it matters nothing to me. I agree with finding illegals and getting them through the process, or out of your country. -

Why am I a hypocrite? Because of your pathetic comment of wanting to see a 'lefties' family member raped or murdered... -

Go outside for some fresh air... If you run into a lefty, I'd strongly suggest not voicing your want of seeing their sister and mother raped and murdered. It wouldn't turn out well for you... -
Why do you disagree with the industry's satisfaction of the agreements? Yes, I'd fear anyone as completely under-qualified as Poilievre to be our PM, as ~70% of the population thinks the same.

Probably time to stop watching Fox News and get out for some fresh air.... I'll assume you mean to say 'illegal' immigrants. ICE doesn't matter to me, I'm Canadian. Pick a word... horrid, asinine, pathetic... -
No, just little interest in discussing something with a person who lacks the intellect to think outside of their little world. You probably need all the props you can get so pat yourself on the back for another one of your so-called wins.
-
Apparently you do have trouble comprehending the industries satisfaction with the agreement... Pay attention.... The auto industry has been kicked in the nuts for the past 20 years. And your guy is.... who?

Obviously the world is making you an unhappy person... and all because of the left. Not sure I've seen a comment like that... which I'll assume you wouldn't repeat in a face to face setting with anyone.
