1. He divides by continually disparaging democrats or opposing points of view 2. The Pope? Trump is the president, there are expectations and lying isn't one of them. 3. He's threatened media outlets, impeachment of judges, law firms and lawyers for filing cases he opposes, student and other protesters, etc... 4. Forced closure of DEI programs and threats to defund universties because of their ideologies. 5. Disregarding court orders for deportation 6. That's your opinion. I'm not going to try and change it.

Disagree AG.... American's have always been more boisterous with their patriotism while Canadian's have always been quieter with theirs. It's been that way as long as I've been on the planet. Canadian's didn't jump on the patriotism bandwagon because of Trump's tariffs, it came out in a more vocal way because of the real or perceived threats to our sovereignty. That's being proud of your country and wanting to defend it with patriotism. Does Canada have a lengthy list of issues to fix....damn right we do, just like most countries on the planet have issues to fix. The US arguably has as many or more issues to fix and patriotism isn't going to solve those and neither will patriotism solve ours. Regardless of those problems I rarely hear anyone in the circles I travel saying they're embarrassed or disappointed to be a Canadian. Quite the opposite actually..... most I know and see, and me as well are very proud to be Canadian, current warts and all.

Better question is what the hell does EV's have to do with - Liberal Housing Minister hid $11M real estate portfolio from ethics commissioner (which is the topic) You are seriously annoying.... I've told you what I think about ICE vehicles and EV's, and there has been nothing hidden by Robertson. Next....

Canada rescinding Digitals Services act
LinkSoul60 replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not sure, but like I just replied to Herbie's post and others, we have no idea what the discussions or give and take are so to pick out every touch point is pointless until we know what the end deal looks like. Dairy will no doubt be a lively topic for them, but many other industries will be as well. The guy we have negotiating for us is very well versed in trade, economics and business so I trust he'll do what's best for the country. If that sounds "left" or "Liberal", so be it.... -
Canada rescinding Digitals Services act
LinkSoul60 replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You'd have to assume that of course it's part of the negotiation, and for all we know that or a similar demand could have been the talking point to dropping the DST. Fact is we don't know what the discussions and the give and take are but Carney was elected for exactly what he's doing right now....negotiating with Trump. How that looks when finalized....we'll see. -
The facts are that many of the comments in this thread are twisted because MP's have NOT yet had to disclose their investments. For whatever your reason you want to read that Robertson is hiding holdings because he wants to see supply dictate the price of housing, and happens to have real estate wealth. This hasn't been disclosed so to think he hid his assets from the ethics commissioner is BS. The public is set to find out more about the land and asset holdings of Canada’s new housing minister. That’s because the deadline is fast approaching for all MPs to detail their investments and potential conflicts of interest to the federal ethics commissioner, who will post the information on the public registry. https://vancouversun.com/opinion/columnists/housing-minister-gregor-robertsons-properties-justify-scrutiny

Is it early for you or something...? I've never said anything about ICE (immigration) nor do I give a sh*t about it. That's your problem in the US, not mine. Yes, Trump's a f*cking idi0t. Next.... You have quite the active imagination to twist words around to think I said you're breaking laws. Not sure how to reply to this idi0tic question, so I won't.

'uninformed and bias comment knowing we have no idea of the discussion details or what the final deal will look like'. -
Good to hear it makes you happy.... Not following.... I have no anger whatsoever with ICE vehicles as my wife drives one and I have a hybrid which also uses gas. Trump, he's just a f*cking idi0t but I don't get angry about that.... to the contrary, it is what it is so can't help but laugh at the fool. Where did I say you're breaking any laws?

With my kids no longer in school I'd like to get out of paying the school tax portion until my grandchildren are fully into the education system. I don't use the library either so don't want to pay that tax line. It doesn't work that way... Lot's of comments saying the military funding is a bad idea, but not one suggesting what it looks like if we had said 'no thanks' and chose to go alone in the world. Does anyone honestly believe that would have been the best route for Canada to take.... militarily or economically.
