You mean after the next election? It's possible. As I asked earlier, what would happen if the conservatives get the most votes of any party but not enough for a majority? Who would join them in a coalition government? If no one, then the liberals get another kick at the can. I predict Carney wins the leadership race, but hopefully Freeland stays on in a top position. She's probably the most effective federal politician we've had in a long time.

It's a long time since I read Richard Condon's novels, But two come to mind lately: "A Trembling upon Rome" about the piratical "Anti-Pope", and "The Manchurian Candidate", about a plot to install a controlled president who will destroy the U.S. from the inside. Can't decide which one reminds me more of him.

Trump's newest executive orders: 1) An executive order banning transgender people from 'Mansplaining'. 2) An executive order renaming the Rotunda "The Bigly Dome". 3) An executive order banning the letters D, E, and I, from all federal documents and websites. 4) An executive order that MAGA hats be carved on Mt Rushmore heads. 5) An executive restraining order to keep Don Jr. and Eric at least 500 meters from the White House (and Mar A Lago, and Trump Tower, and all golf courses, and anywhere else he might be). 6) An executive order naming YMCA the official MAGA anthem. (Does MAGA mean Make All Gays Assimilate?)

Wha?????? And does it really matter that Russia has 500 more nukes, when we're talking about 5500 or so? And you can't believe Russia leads the Us in military might, or in any other important way.

Tit for tat, not tit for tat... Neither position affected Trump's decision. It's just a money grab. But the fact that Trump put only 10% on energy shows he's worried about that sector. Maybe it would have been a good bargaining chip.

No downside. But the hosts of immigrants are walking up from Central America, not down from the Arctic. Actually our border is already pretty secure. The U.S. could do more to keep guns and drugs coming across from their side.
