On June 12, 2016, a man fatally shot 49 people and wounded 53 more at Pulse, an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Orlando, Florida And any religious leader who speaks out about against the extreme haters can expect death threats: 150+ anti-LGBTQ incidents targeting affirming faith-based communities in the US. And so, to deny the existence of anti-LGBTQ extremists is to deny reality. But, of course not all are extremists, and we should not paint all Christians with the same brush, just like we should not paint all Muslims with the same brush.

I read an article today from a journalist I well respect, about the shooting, and I was a little dismayed at the lack of any mention of what Palestinians are currently suffering at the hands of Israel. Then I hear Netanyahu blame Australia for the attacks: “Your government did nothing to stop the spread of antisemitism in Australia. You did nothing to curb the cancer cells that were growing inside your country. You took no action. You let the disease spread and the result is the horrific attacks on Jews we saw today.” Nowhere do I hear anything about the genocide that Israel is perpetrating on the Palestinian people. What responsibility does Netanyahu hold for the radicalization of those opposed to the killing of their people?

Our threat is from within.” But there are things that Trump is “not that bright” about – like the things he blindly accepts from the self-serving sycophants surrounding him feeding into his megalomaniac delusions. You only have to listen to Trump to know he doesn’t know what he’s talking about when it comes to government policy – and that is because his priority is his own interests, and (as I mentioned previously) – policy to him is just a means to an end – his personal ends. Honestly, I won’t currently go to the States since there is no guarantee that I will not be detained for no apparent reason. But, of course, Trump treating us like Putin treats the Ukraine sticks in our craw, too. Everything Putin has said about the Ukraine, Trump has copied when he is talking about Canada: Ukraine (Canada) is not a real country. They don't really exist ... the border between countries is an artificial line … the people in Ukraine (Canada) really want to join their country … history necessarily leads to annexation … they are our brothers, and yet at the same time our enemies.
