The coercion came from Jewish donors who threatened to withdraw funds because those terrorists were calling their kids names and making threats. 1250 Jewish settlers and IDF members were killed in that raid while Israel has killed over 40,000 Palestinians. Our whole country should be protesting this slaughter.

I fail to understand your post Dougie. Assuming Citizen 2015 is an Iranian dissident and immigrated to Canada and is now a citizen of Canada why would that make a difference. Be that as it may, I am an immigrant who has been a proud Canadian Citizen for over fifty years. I too am proud of my country because of the respect it has around the world, for the freedoms we enjoy and for the tolerance we show even internet trolls like you.

The implication to your post is that people on the bottom of the income scale will always vote for more services but that the people who pay taxes are more likely to say enough already. But ask yourself in your experience have you met many people who willing turn down a government hand out.

First can I point out that calling someone running to become the president of the USA a DEI slut demonstrates your lack of civility and the bankruptcy of your argument. Do you remember Donald's first term when he promised an infrastructure project and didn't deliver because he couldn't articulate what he wanted in the Bill? Or how about the promise to get rid of "Obama Care" but didn't because the attendees at republican town halls were saying leave it alone until you come up with something better, but they never did. I can remember speaker McConnell asking Trump to give some guidance but he didn't because he couldn't. So despite holding both houses for a time they just couldn't get it together because they had no leadership from their president. Or how about the time he suggested that maybe shining a light inside someone would get rid of the covid or maybe bleach. He did bring in a substantial tax cut for the wealthy some of whom were embarrassed enough to admit that they pay less tax than their secretary. I think that was Warren Buffett. I could go on and on but that should be enough reasons to vote for Kamala. Oh wait how about being a convicted felon on 34 counts of fraud or convicted by a jury of his peers for sexual assault. And finally the fact that he whines like a spoiled brat. On the other-hand Kamala was part of an administration that passed an infrastructure bill, that would have put in place the toughest bi-partisan immigration bill ever until Trump said no I need that issue to complain about. So do you want someone focused on the future or someone whining about the past.

This is quite a litany of what's wrong but nothing about what the conservatives would do. Putting the brakes on is not a policy. If you check the criminal code you will see that many of these issues will need change at that level. Back about thirty years or so Riverdale the psychiatric hospital was emptied out. Those folks were initially housed but those arrangements broke down. This didn't just happen in BC or even just in Canada but in the US and western Europe as well. The next thing that happened was that many of these folks started to self medicate with street drugs which over time became more and more toxic. When it comes to toxic drugs we hear a lot about users dying. What we don't hear much about are the folks that OD'ed but lived many with varying degrees of brain damage who will need different levels of care. This is a bare bones description but hopefully blackbird you can see the complexity. So we may end up with someone leading the province who happily ignores inconvenient truths like climate change, and the benefits of vaccines. How do you think that's going to work out.

I wonder how many of the true centrists in the former socred party, liberal party, bcunited party, (have I missed any) will want to hitch their wagon to the most extreme and out of touch incarnation of a free enterprise party yet. We'll see.
