Huh? Regardless of an argument over intentions, he did in fact obstruct and then resist. That aside, he was associated with the ICE agitators, somehow figured out exactly where to be, and had gotten into a scuffle with them the week before having his rib broken. So, we have plenty of evidence as to what his intentions were.

It matters that he was armed as he went to obstruct law enforcement and fought with them as they moved to detain him. The only escalation was on his part as he chose to stand in the middle of the road.
