That helped greatly. Thank you. -
It isn't a policy disagreement. Per the 2006 law: Republicans have long maintained that Mayorkas has been derelict in his duty to secure the border, citing a 2006 law that requires the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to maintain “operational control” over the border. In a report gathered by the Homeland Security Committee last year, Republicans also argued that Mayorkas has failed to “enforce laws passed by Congress” and to “fulfill his oath of office.” What is the point of Congress passing a law and the president signing it if the beurocrats will just ignore it? The message should have been sent that no one is above the law. But, alas, that wasn't the case. The Democratic party will send the message that "laws are for thee, not for me."

Washington gave the go ahead to Iran
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That's not a wild ass guess. That is the restatement of what the Turkish official said. He said that Washington (aka the Whitehouse aka the POTUS aka Joe's handlers) told Iran they could strike Israel as long as it was out side the bounds. I didn't guess. I just put it in words you could understand. -

You, sir, have all the onside information. Outstanding. -
Trial of the century? Puhlease! He's on Trial, in a state, for a federal campaign finance charge on a crime that has passed the statute of limitations and was paid for out of personal funds and labeled a legal expense because the lawyer wrote up and paid a NDA with a porn star. Why wasn't this dismissed out of hand? Because the Banana Republic is alive and well.

Washington gave the go ahead to Iran

Let me guess, Reuters is not a credible source? -
ANKARA (Reuters) -Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be "within certain limits". So Joe's handlers told Iran that it was OK to attack Israel as long as it wasn't too bad. Is this a joke?

Buehler... -
We are at 3.5% now. I was wrong earlier when I said 3.4% "US consumer prices picked up again last month, vaulting to a 3.5% increase for the 12 months ended in March, according to the latest Consumer Price Index data released Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. " https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/10/economy/cpi-consumer-price-index-inflation-march/index.html And Europe: "Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 2.4% in March 2024, down from 2.6% in February according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union." https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-euro-indicators/w/2-03042024-ap Your chart is utterly inaccurate. 3.5% and 2.4% in Europe is not even remotely close. Further, ours is trending up while theirs is trending down. It is also completely wrong. See my post above.

Donald Trump’s Insatiable Bloodlust

You haven't stated any facts or backed anything up with a credible source. It's all emotion. -
Donald Trump’s Insatiable Bloodlust

1. What armed mob? There is no evidence or allegations that anyone at the Stop the Steal Rally was armed or a mob. Already you are using inflammatory and inaccurate language. These are clear signs that you are making an emotional response, rather than a logical response. 2. He has claimed he offered the NG to Pelosi, informally, and she declined. Can you prove that he didn't verbally make an offer? 3. Pardons are for people that were wrongly convicted, very it legal malpractice or political prosecutions. In many J6 cases, it is both. Given what they are doing to Trump, I'd say he's on pretty solid ground issuing pardons to those that got years in jail for parading. 4. I haven't ignored anything. You are making an emotional response and have not used any logical reasoning to back your case. I provided you with the full definition of the ver fight as well as several minutes of democrats using similarly or more inflammatory rhetoric. You didn't even address that. -

I think most people, of spund mind, can tell the difference between metaphorical fight and actual fight. Hell, the definition of the word actually includes: "Fight 1 of 2 verb ˈfīt fought ˈfȯt ; fighting Synonyms of fight intransitive verb 1 a : to contend in battle or physical combat especially : to strive to overcome a person by blows or weapons The soldiers fought bravely. b : to engage in boxing He will fight for the heavyweight title next month. 2 : to put forth a determined effort They were fighting to stay awake. transitive verb 1 a(1) : to contend against in or as if in battle or physical combat fought the invaders of his homeland was fighting a forest fire (2) : to box against in the ring fought several strong contenders b(1) : to attempt to prevent the success or effectiveness of the company fought the takeover attempt (2) : to oppose the passage or development of fight a bill in Congress 2 a : wage, carry on fight a battle b : to take part in (a boxing match or similar contest) 3 : to struggle to endure or surmount fight a cold is fighting cancer 4 a : to gain by struggle fights his way through b : to resolve by struggle fought out their differences in court 5 a : to manage (a ship) in a battle or storm b : to cause to struggle or contend c : to manage in an unnecessarily rough or awkward manner" https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fight You act as if there is one definition and the only definition you wish to attribute is the one that makes him look bad. You do that because you have this irrational hatred of him, and frankly any conservative, so you refuse to even acknowledge that there are other definitions of the term fight, 5 plus subs actually. It is pathetic to intentionally take someone out of context just because you can't come upbwith a better argument. Grow up and find a more mature manner to engage people. -
Yeah. The international community seems to be turning on Israel even though most of the Palestinians still think it was a good thing to attack Israel the way they did on October 7th and, if an election was held today, Hamas would easily win. Palestinians will not stop until every last Jew in israel is dead. So why should Israel?

Maybe if the left wasn't so consumed with TDS, they could listen for meaning rather than words. -
https://www.realclearpolling.com/maps/president/2024/no-toss-up/electoral-college As of today, Trump is winning handily. That's including an outlier poll in PA that gave Biden a 10% lead when the previous polls all had Trump up by just a little bit.

Do they though? 70% support Oct 7th and... "However, if new parliamentary elections were held today with the participation of all political forces that participated in the 2006 elections, only 64% say they would participate in them, 30% would vote for Hamas, 14% for Fatah, 6% for third parties, and 15% remain undecided." https://www.pcpsr.org/en/node/969 So Hamas is the most popular party in for Palestinians and they overwhelmingly supported killing over 1000 civilians just because. You assertion that they hate being held hostage isn't supported by reality.
