I would say that the actual town it happened in isn't that important. What is more important is: I would also add that dangerous driving seems to be the number one concern in Springfield. But, look at why we are talking about this. Trump said something outrageous. People called him a liar. Then people started looking at the underlying story. Now, people know that illegal aliens from Haiti have caused a lot of problems in Springfield Ohio. Is the cat eating issue a huge problem? Probably not. But the bigger problem went from under the radar to national headlines in about 30 minutes. The genius of what he did goes unspoken.

I will say this is a debate that was a bit of a draw. Neither candidate really landed anything that memorable for anyone outside of those that are politically attuned. Trump got in a good point about Harris attempting to negotiate before the Russia/Ukraine war. But it wasn't puffy, it probably didn't stick. She made a few unremarkable points. But neither got in that "I don't know what he said and I dont think he does eother" moment.
