Stock market crashes are the best time to make money. It will go back up. It's like buying a TV on sale. But my initial point was that tariffs that are excessive and conditional, force behavior. What's funny is that you guys are arguing that tariffs don't work by telling us how they've changed behavior. If they are stupid or desperate enough to sell, I will buy. It's going back up.

For what will Joe Biden be best known?

What world are you living in? Freebeacon: FLASHBACK: Biden Tells Migrants To 'Surge to the Border' -
Wow. We negotiated down from NAFTA that destroyed our manufacturing to a less bad deal. Now we are coming back for a fair deal. To you that means we were wrong? No. It means we got half the loaf yesterday and we are getting the rest today. That's not even remotely related to what we were talking about. We were talking about the effect of tariffs.

My eyes rolled so far back in my head that I saw my neck hair. You are just making shit up. Stop. In the first term, Trump levied tariffs on China and various goods. The end result was job growth, wage growth (including minorities that saw the biggest gain in wages) and price stability. They worked. Despite all the same left wing nut job economists (i.e. Krugman) saying it would bring on massive job losses, inflation and recession. It never happened.

The left can't allow their ideology to take a hit. They are already starting to blame Biden by acknowledging he was a cognitive mess. -
No. You are just against Trump. That's it. No other reason. Not necessarily. You are excluding the price elasticity. Unless you know what Americans are willing and able to pay for products, you can't predict what the price will go to. After forcing Colombia to back down, White House claims America is respected again Trump reverses new tariffs threat on Canada after Ontario rescinds electricity charges Canada and Mexico beefed up border enforcement to try to avoid the tariffs. Well, which is it? Did the US ban dairy from Canada or buy it? Meanwhile, if the US exports enough dairy products, Canada will charge us 200% plus in tariffs. Hypocrite much? The island you refer to is an Australian territory, so it was included. I'm guessing it will never see a tariff charged. So why are your panties in a wad? Yes, Russia was left off. But we are negotiating an end to a war. Is it a good idea to poke that bear in the middle of negotiations? Of course not. There's plenty of time to institute tariffs AFTER the war comes to an end. For now, new tariffs would be counter productive.

Oh please. Where has this new found resistance of taxes come from? Liberals used to fall in love with every tax they saw. But they also used to love electric cars, but that's old news too. I do find it hilarious that y'all are finally admitting taxes are paid by the end consumer. But, let's be clear, a tariff isn't about who pays the tax. A tariff is about who gains the cost advantage. The whole point of tariffs is to make it easier for producers to compete domestically or to force the opposing nation to agree to some political goal. Trump is using tariffs for both purposes. The political goal aspect has worked beautifully. We will see how the cost advantage aspect plays out. The weighted tariff line is b.s. They have put such high tariffs on US that we don't export anything to them because we can't compete. That's why they have a trade surplus with us. My gawd, did you just hear weighted tariff and think that was some fancy way of saying average? It is the average, but only of the things we actually send to them. Trump is right that they have ridiculous tarrifs on our products. The excessively high tariffs prevented us from exporting our products to them. Weighted Average Tariff You just inadvertently proved that Trump's goal is going to happen. I mean, there is this: NEWSWEEK: Following Trump's Rose Garden announcement, a White House official told NOTUS' Jasmine Wright that Russia is "not on this list because sanctions from the Ukraine war have already rendered trade between the two countries as zero." Oh, and I'm glad you got some French TV station to decry Trump. Bravo. What's the matter? Did Rachel Madcow not have a piffy line?

The Tennessean released excerpts of the police report about the girl that shot up the religious school in Nashville. Not surprisingly, she did it for the notiriety. She wanted her guns to be displayed in a museum. She wanted her room to be preserved just as she left it. She wanted everyone to pour over her 1200+ page manifesto. And she chose the school because it was a soft target and mostly white. She didn't want to be branded a raćist. So she was a nùt job. No surprise there. And kudos to the Nashville police for not releasing her manifesto. But wtf'n hell are they doing here: "Due to the sound of gunfire and the fire alarm, the report said the suspect did not hear police make their way through the lobby to confront the shooter. One officer fired a 5.56 mm caliber rifle at the shooter, striking the shooter and knocking them to the ground. A second officer fired a 9mm pistol at the shooter, fatally wounding them." Them? Are you kidding me?! Them?! She goes on a murderous rampage to kill children and NPD wants to be respectful to this evil bìtch? Fùck that! Fùck them!
