Here is the difference Republicans are following the rules as they stand and they got lucky, they didn't "pack" the court. Roe V Wade was a bad decision and they had 50 years to codify it but kept kicking it down the road because no one wants to go on record for it. Pelosi admitted it was a shaky decision because the "right" they are basing it on isn't actually a right in the Constitution. There is no right to privacy in the Constitution. Besides there has never been an agreement at what point that "clump of cells" becomes human and has right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we are all a clump of cells. Now most Americans agree that 12-15 weeks is reasonable but at the extremes you have one side that say they should be able to abort it up until birth and the other is the second your pregnant you need to keep it.

Sotomayor needs to make a decision quick because she is 70 and that means she will have to hold on for at least 4 years if she doesn't get out like tomorrow, what is scary for Democrats is no one knows which way Manchin will jump if she does retire. If he won't vote for their choice it will be up to Trump to fill that spot and you know what that will mean.

I said it before and I will say it again, Kamala Harris was never meant to win, she was just there to keep the money spigot open, they didn't dump Biden because he was going to lose they dumped Biden because big money donors were threatening to cut off their funds. American were not feeling so great about the economy and whoever took over would have to start from scratch and none of their bench candidates were polling well against Trump so Kamala Harris was the only choice since she can essentially just take over the Biden campaign and get all his campaign funds. There will be books written about what was going on behind the scenes of the Biden Presidency. I wouldn't doubt Kamala knew full well that Biden was fading and thought if they could just drag him through the election and win. It set her up to be the next President when he had to resign. God knows she couldn't win a primary let alone a national election. After that debate performance it was plain to the world something wasn't quite right with Biden and then the demands for him to step down from the election got louder and louder to the point they couldn't be ignored. My guess is they went to Biden and told him he has 2 choices step down from the campaign or they would use the 25th to make him step down and he could either be revered as a hero who selflessly gave up the campaign to ensure Democracy or a sad old man unceremoniously removed from office unable to complete his term. The sheer buttering up Biden to the point of being laughable made that quite obvious. Nancy Pelosi with a straight face suggested Biden should be on Mt Rushmore.

She won't concede, here comes the lawyers to claim Trump is ineligible and the election should be null and void.

He wasn't convicted he was found liable which has a lower standard of evidence and doesn't need a unanimous jury. It is not a conviction. A conviction means he was found guilty of committing a crime. You can be found liable for something that you didn't even do. He was literally found liable based on BS, they could never of convicted him of anything with the complete lack of evidence that was brought before them.

Lorne Michael's cited the equal time rule as the reason for not having either candidate on the show. The reason they know about it was because in 2016 they had Trump on the show and was warned by the FCC that they needed to give Hilary the option to appear as well.

He may stay home but he might start a public Zoom meeting and say things like "I really tried to arrest all Trump supporters but they told me I can't but Kamala promised me she will"
