  1. All drugs should be legalised to consume, as it is a mental health issues, not a criminal issue. It's mainly poor and vulnerable people with underlying mental health issues with poor coping mechanisms that use hard drugs. We should be going after the dealers, and the manufacturers, who produce, and sell the drugs. Alcohol is clearly the most destructive drug to society. However, prohibition does not work. Perhaps more accountability is necessary (bars and restaurants knowingly serving intoxicated patrons). Make then liable for drunk driving accidents, if it can be proven the establishments knew the individual left drunk, and made no attempt to report the person when they drove away.
  2. Yes, Edmonton I believe, was ahead of Calgary and Toronto at one point. 7.8% along with Calgary 7.9% is the highest rates Alberta has experienced in a year not related to a recession or COVID in 30 years. Toronto is roughly the same. Seems Saskatoon is a good place to go, with a 5.1% unemployment rate. These rates could double, depending on if Trump follows through with the tariff threat.
  3. *was The unemployment rate in Alberta is arguably the highest in Canada now. Standard of living is also debatable. As the old saying goes: "Takes one to know one."
  4. Jesse on Trump and Walz. Donald Trump is terrified of Jesse.
  5. It's a shame that Jesse Ventura never ran for Presidency in 2016. He would have destroyed Trump in any debate. Trump knows it too, since Trump's who persona is pretty much lifted from Vince McMahon circa 1998.
  6. Yup. Not an Eagles fan, and I don't care for LA. Washington is an electric team, riding a wave of momentum.
  7. Expected weather at kickoff: -8 C. WInd 11km/h, gusting to 18 km/h. Cloudy, with snow expected in the morning, but clearing in the afternoon. The Bills Mafia would not have it any other way.
  8. Injuries, turnovers, and the inability to contain the Redskins defense I'd the Lions in. The 15 win curse continues.
  9. Unsure of Karina Gould, but love her message.
  10. Obama was a excellent leader, and a great President. Even NHL stars spend time in the farm system. In many cases, it's what helps them develop into stars.
  11. The YEGWAVE Twitter account was exposed as a Russian based account in late November 2024, meant to spread disinformation in regards to Canadian politics in Alberta. @CdnFox has referenced this site in the past, to support some of his arguments. Coincidence? I think not.
  12. Obama had 12 years of political experience in the Illinois and US Senate, when he was sworn in, as US President.
  13. She is a traitor. By definition, traitors side with the adversaries of their respective countries. Smith will be long in the same category as Vidkun Quisling, Benedict Arnold, Viktor Yanukovych, Pierre Laval, Charles I, Louis XVI, Judas, and others, as some of the greatest traitors in history. I hope she will be dealt with accordingly, when all is said and done.
  14. You make a good point. Trump had zero experience in politics, and he is the worst leader the United States has ever had,
  15. Even Pete Hegseth's own mother has gone public about her son's abhorrent behaviour.
  16. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, and has been waging war on Ukraine for the past decade. If Russia withdrew it's forces from Ukrainian land, the war would be over. It's really that simple.
  17. Well the Government has not restricted energy sales to the United States, especially from Alberta. In fact, American companies own a very significant chunk of the Canadian oil sands.
  18. It's incredible to realise this piece was done in 2010. In fairness, PP did have one job. He was Paperboy for the Calgary Sun.
  19. Trump may not need it, but the American working and middle class do, especially when prices skyrocket across the board.
  20. CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, Global, and CTV are state-run?
  21. The Gateway Pundit?? That "news" source, is not even worthy enough to cover your floor in case of paint droppings, if painting one's home.
  22. INteresting that when it all comes down to it, Quebecers are more loyal to Canada than Albertans.
  23. I paddled everywhere as a young man. Even went to National Championships. Twice. Wabamun would be an interesting lake to paddle on. I did work there in 2005.
  24. Wab Kinew has really impressed me as of late. A proud Canadian.
  25. Good for him. True North is pretty much Russian disinformation. The Rebel is just as bad. https://pressprogress.ca/far-right-media-outlet-linked-to-secret-russian-influence-campaign-produced-50-videos-focused-on-canada/
