  1. Actually, you should follow the legislation. Find the bill passed by the Texas Legislature and signed by the governor that offers a loophole (in this case, allowing natural gas companies to be exempt from the winterization requirement.) If such a loophole exists, then Beatoff is correct and truth is a defense to any defamation/slander suit. If the loophole DOESN'T exist, he has a problem, especially if his big mouth caused monetary damages for the entity he allegedly defamed. That's how juries normally come up with monetary awards in such lawsuits.
  2. Doesn't look like any little guys were involved in this at all. Beatoff O'Rourke does not qualify as a little guy.
  3. Actually, you sue if you're stupid enough to put a styrofoam container of hot coffee between your bare legs while leaving a McDonalds parking lot.
  4. If the person getting sued committed libel and slander, those are items that are fair game in ANY court in the land, billionaire or not. “Beto O’Rourke told millions of his followers that [Warren] engaged in bribery, corruption, and extortion and that he profited from the death of his fellow Texans simply because Mr. Warren gave a perfectly legal campaign contribution to the candidate of his choosing, Gov. Abbott,” If the bribery, corruption and extortion are FACTS, there's no lawsuit. Any first year attorney will tell you that TRUTH is a defense to slander and libel. Here is the alleged "loophole" that your source accuses the Texas Legislature of giving to energy producers. On June 8, 2021, Abbott signed into law a set of bills that would purportedly improve the state’s power grid and require winterization of energy infrastructure. However, a loophole in the bill was carved out for the state’s natural gas suppliers that allowed them to opt out of this requirement, despite gas companies being the “primary cause of the outages,” according to the Texas Tribune. This is nothing more than OPINION. It may be correct or it may be false. Whenever I discuss ANY state laws, I first get a link of the legislature of that particular state along with its statutes. Fox News is pretty helpful in naming the actual law and which house it originated from. So where in the Texas Statutes is a provision allowing natural gas suppliers to opt out of the requirement for winterizing energy infrastructure? That part should be easy to track if it actually happened. Bear in mind, left wing hacks like CNN, MSNBC, THE VIEW, accused Florida of passing a DON'T SAY GAY law, which was a LIE. I had an open mind and looked up the bill. The word GAY did not appear at all. The name of the bill Governor DeSAntis signed was the Parental Rights In Education Law. https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2022/1557 I'm not saying your source is telling the truth or not. The only way to affirm that truth is to look up the legislation. Did Texas pass a loophole for natural gas companies or not? If it did, the law is in the statutes and can be easily accessed. (Internet legal research has come a LONG way from the very expensive Westlaw days) By the way, Libel And Slander lawsuits happen every day. This forum isn't the only place unfriendly to free speech. The requirement in any libel or slander suit is to show actual damages, monetary damages especially. That's where a case comes from. And truth is the only defense against such a lawsuit. If what the respondent said was factual, then damages or not there is no case. (In criminal cases, it's Plaintiff versus Defendant. In Civil cases its Petitioner versus Respondent.)
  5. Investors Business Daily is the to economics/business source in the universe. They don't lie. They aren't an education service for ignoramuses like you who barely know how to read. The budget numbers INCLUDE debt service. And the Kerrey/Danforth report says that by 2030, the ENTIRE budget will be just interest on Social Security, also with 90 percent taxation across the board. That's what your goose stepping vote buying Democrats have unleashed on America.
  6. i assume you have some scientific documentation to support that line of ignorance. Then again, You were born 12 years ago and probably don't know any more than the usual fairy tales you spew on a daily basis here.
  7. Do you think that men can menstruate? Do you think women can contract prostate cancer? Human anatomy doesn't change just because a bunch of uneducated blue staters get bored.
  8. Nope. You have no proof, no reliable documentation. Shows you were raised by inferior blue state hacks.
  9. She is the worst and she works for the worse. It's obvious NONE of you goose steppers here were educated in Florida schools. You aren't smart enough. You have no education.
  10. This bee itch is just lazy and stupid. She doesn't do her homework. She lies. She is the worst of all time. Then again, the unelected pedophile she works for is the worst president of all time.
  11. They are the best, and your biased left wing rags will not convince the country of the opposite.
  12. You haven't changed. You haven't grown any brains.
  13. Yeah, I know. Five years ago, a retard who made such a stupid statement would likely be laughed at and maybe duct taped to a tree. Not today. https://www.theblaze.com/news/not-all-students-who-menstruate-are-female-democrat-state-rep-tells-fellow-legislators?utm_source=theblaze-dailyAM&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Daily-Newsletter__AM 2023-01-19&utm_term=ACTIVE LIST - TheBlaze Daily AM 'Not all students who menstruate are female,' Democratic state rep tells fellow legislators. Fed up folks reacting to statement have an absolute field day. A Democratic Minnesota state representative — arguing against an amendment to a bill that would provide funding for menstrual products in student restrooms — told fellow legislators last week that “not all students who menstruate are female," the National Desk reported. I would encourage the committee to vote no on this amendment for a few reasons: practical, financial, social, emotional. First, there are a lot of schools that are moving towards gender-neutral bathrooms, and if we add "female" we might become obsolete very quickly. Second, not all students who menstruate are female – we need to make sure that all students have access to these products. These students who are not female, who menstruate, face a greater stigma and barrier to asking for these products, and so providing them in an easily accessible place in all student bathrooms is particularly important for those students. Here is the delusional bee itch spewing this psychobabble. Okay. EARTH TO RETARDS, (those who attended Blue State schools and don't know their asses from a hole in the ground. 1. If you have a PENIS, you are NOT a woman. 2. If you can get PROSTATE CANCER you are not a woman. 3. If you are able to give birth, you are NOT a MAN. 4. If you have monthly periods, YOU ARE NOT A MAN. 5. Yes, there are delusional and sick individuals who THINK they are another gender. They should be given psychiatric help, but IN NO WAY SHOULD COLLEGES OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC INSTITUTION HAVE TO CHANGE THE SIGNS ON THE BATHROOMS TO MOLLIFY THESE LOONIES' DELUSIONS. Minnesota. Another blue state with inferior schools.
  14. https://www.investors.com/politics/policy-analysis/us-government-payments-to-individuals-70-of-budget/ Buried deep in a section of President Obama's budget, released this week, is an eye-opening fact: This year, 70% of all the money the federal government spends will be in the form of direct payments to individuals, an all-time high. In effect, the government has become primarily a massive money-transfer machine, taking $2.6 trillion from some and handing it back out to others. These government transfers now account for 15% of GDP, another all-time high. In 1991, direct payments accounted for less than half the budget and 10% of GDP. What's more, the cost of these direct payments is exploding. Even after adjusting for inflation, they've shot up 29% under Obama. ObamaCare, Medicare... Where do these checks go? The biggest chunk, 38.6%, goes to pay health bills, either through Medicare, Medicaid or ObamaCare. A third goes out in the form of Social Security checks. Only 21% goes toward poverty programs — or "income security" as it's labeled in the budget — and a mere 5% ends up in the hands of veterans. https://www.crfb.org/blogs/does-entitlement-spending-constitute-71-percent-budget You lose again.
  15. Florida schools aren't the best in the country by accident. Our amazing Governor has a lot to do with it. And the LAZY, UNEDUCATED Karine Jean-Pierre is a LIAR and a hack. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/karine-jean-pierre-says-desantis-wants-block-study-black-americans-rejecting-ap-course Karine Jean-Pierre says DeSantis wants to 'block' study of 'Black Americans' after rejecting AP course Here's the LIE. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre said that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to "block" the study of Black Americans after his administration rejected the College Board’s Advanced Placement African American Studies course. Jean Pierre made the comments during a White House Press briefing on Friday, calling the move by the DeSantis administration "incomprehensible." "If you think about the study of Black Americans, that is what he wants to block," Jean Pierre said. "These types of actions aren't new. They are not new from what we're seeing, especially from Florida. Sadly, Florida currently bans teachers from talking about who they are and who they love." Here's the courses the State Of Florida doesn't want in its colleges. CONCERNS FOUND WITHIN COLLEGE BOARD’S SUBMITTED AP AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES COURSE TOPICS FROM AP COURSE CONCERN Topic 4.15 Intersectionality and Activism Intersectionality is foundational to CRT, and ranks people based on their race, wealth, gender and sexual orientation. INCLUDED READING: • Kimberle Crenshaw – Known as the “founder” of intersectionalaity, co-editor of Critical Race Theory: The Key Writings that Formed the Movement • Angela Davis – self-avowed Communist and Marxist Topic 4.29 Movements for Black Lives Movement for Black Lives is an organization with stated objectives that include eliminating prisons and jails, ending pretrial detention, and concluding “the war on Black trans, queer, gender non-conforming, and intersex people.” INCLUDED READING: • Leslie Kay Jones who wrote, “Every day, black people produce an unquantifiable amount of content for the same social media corporations that reproduce the white supremacist superstructures that oppress us.” Topic 4.16 Black Feminist Literary Thought INCLUDED READING: • Bell Hooks – Author of many intersectionality texts, and in the recommended reading states “I began to use the phrase in my work ‘white supremacist capitalist patriarchy’ because I wanted to have some language that would actually remind us continu-ally of the interlocking systems of domination that define our reality.” Topic 4.30 The Reparations Movement All points and resources in this study advocate for reparations. There is no critical perspective or balancing opinion in this lesson. Topic 4.31 Black Study and Black Struggle in the 21st Century INCLUDED READING: • Robin D.G. Kelley argues that activism, rather than the university system, is the catalyst for social transformation. o Kelley’s first book was a study of Black communists in Alabama. o Kelley warns that simply establishing safe spaces and renaming campus buildings does nothing to overthrow capitalism. This is political indoctrination. Florida schools do not have time for this nonsense.
  16. You have given ZERO proof. Just your LYING opinion. You truly are pathetic.
  17. Obama was bad for the country. His policies were bad. Rush wanted those policies to fail. That is being PATRIOTIC. And Obama wound up leaving a failing economy for Trump in the process, (while arming ISIS and giving Iran BILLIONS in cash for their nuclear program and funding of terrorism. https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/obama-iran-terrorism/ https://www.foxnews.com/politics/us-made-1-7-billion-transfer-to-iran-in-foreign-cash-treasury-says Obama's policies left a RECORD number of people out of work and in POVERTY https://www.forbes.com/sites/peterferrara/2012/02/09/dont-be-fooled-the-obama-unemployment-rate-is-11/?sh=2fa26e3b6781 The trick is that when those 5 million are not counted as in the work force, they are not counted as unemployed either. They may desperately need and want jobs. They may be in poverty, as many undoubtedly are, with America suffering today more people in poverty than in the entire half century the Census Bureau has been counting poverty. But they are not even counted in that 8.3% unemployment rate that Obama and his media cheerleaders were so tirelessly celebrating last week. If they were counted, the unemployment rate today would be a far more realistic 11%, better reflecting the suffering in the real economy under Obamanomics. Just last month, while the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported finding 243,000 new jobs, they also reported in the same release that an additional 1.2 million workers had dropped out of the work force altogether, giving up hope under Obama. If labor force participation had remained the same in January, 2012 just as it was the month before in December, 2011, the unemployment rate would have risen to 8.7% in January rather than supposedly declining to 8.3% as reported. Maybe America wouldn't be in such dire straits if that ignorant TRAITOR failed.
  18. You are a LIAR. Rush is responsible for ENDING the DemoNazi monopoly on public opinion. That's why you goose steppers hate him. He stood in the way of your new Concentration Camp models.
  19. Grow a brain, goose stepper.
  20. If Jesus Christ produced the WORST ECONOMY OF ALL TIME, yeah.
  21. He had no chance of winning in 2020, when he lost all the debates and campaigned from the basement. That didn't stop the 2000 Mules from manufacturing his illegal presidency.
  22. How does he know? Is it just his OPINION? Does he watch PMSNBC, CNN or any other Nazi rags? Does he have a track record of making illegal gun busts? Where is his evidence that ALL the guns originate from the United States? As far as guns originating in the US, there is a list: https://www.wideopenspaces.com/10-american-gun-companies-proving-the-u-s-makes-the-best-firearms/ While most gunmakers now have factories in the United States, some gun owners are likely looking for genuine American firearms. Here are prominent firearms industry members with roots in America. Each continues proving some of the best guns in the world come from the U.S. Where is his evidence that the factories who MAKE those firearms are selling them ILLEGALLY to Canadian scumbags? Where is his documentation? Where in the US Code does it say American criminals are authorized to sell guns to Canadian scumbags? Is your kid a legal scholar? Bottom line, guns are EVERYWHERE. The ONLY ones who are at fault are those who are BREAKING THE LAW. The United States as a country is NOT responsible for Canadian scumbags getting their hands on American firearms, (although our unelected Racist Pedophile Joe certain spend a few BILLIONS arming countries on the other side of the earth. Be thankful that Canada is not a terrorist state. swimming in oil. American Democrat presidents would be shipping all kinds of military hardware up your way.
  23. I know there are some liberal teachers in Florida. (Broward County is lousy with them, and reaches down to blue state levels in its quality of education.) I subbed for ONE social studies teacher who had a BlackLivesMatter sticker on the inside of his desk. (No different that having a KKK or a Swastika displayed.) There was NOTHING racist in his presentation. And the racist/terrorist BLM label was not in full view by the students. I subbed for one high school math teacher who had an almost life sized Obama poster on her wall. (She might as well have had a poster of Adolf Hitler.) Again ZERO politics in the lesson. And I don't want politics in the lesson. I want EDUCATION to be the topic all day long. The kids have the rest of the day to have their minds poisoned by CNN, THE VIEW, and other Nazi rags. While they are in my classroom, their minds have to be on the lesson plan. That's all ANY of us want.
  24. https://www.flgov.com/2022/12/12/florida-ranked-1-in-nation-for-parent-involvement-in-education/ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced Florida’s ranking as the number one state in the country for parent empowerment, according to the Center for Education Reform’s Parent Power! Index. The annual Parent Power! Index debuted in 1999 and measures the extent to which states have policies in place that put students first, value the unique needs of every family, and empower parents to oversee their child’s education. Each state was ranked using three criteria: choice programs, charter schools, and innovation. Overall, Florida scored 94.6%, leading all 50 states and the District of Columbia. For more on the index and methodology, click here. “Parental involvement is important to a child’s success both in school and in life, and in Florida we are proud to protect parents’ right to be involved in a child’s education,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “This recognition continues to show that Florida is a national leader in school choice, parent empowerment, and education as a whole.” “Florida will always protect the right of parents to raise their children how they best see fit,” said Department of Education Commissioner Manny Diaz, Jr. “We are proud to offer a variety of educational options for parents without limitations due to location or income. As the rest of the nation follows the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, the Department of Education will continue to support initiatives that uphold parental rights and expand school choice.” Florida Rankings by Category #1 in nation for digital and personalized learning #1 in nation for choice programs #2 in nation for charter schools #3 in nation for teacher quality Florida also received high scores for leadership, COVID-19 response, and transparency For the full 2022 Parent Power! Index Report, click here. In addition to today’s recognition, Florida ranked number one in the nation on the Heritage Foundation Education Freedom report card, which analyzes both the quantity and quality of a state’s school choice offerings. Nearly half of Florida students have chosen an educational option outside of their zoned traditional public school, such as open enrollment, Family Empowerment Scholarships, charter schools, virtual education, vouchers, education savings accounts, and more.
