Trump Nominates Pam Bondi
Hodad replied to CouchPotato's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
She's definitely a cultish deplorable, but at least she has a resume that qualifies her to do the job. Gaetz was straight up clown show. -
Comparing Republicans to Nazis

"We"? Who TF do you think you are? You must be one of those sports fans who think they are part of the teams they root for. Here's a tip: if you do something with your own life you won't have to live vicariously through the doers on your TV. The election is over, Trump's not even sworn in yet, but the predictable farce is already in full swing.
-
I simply can't take you seriously. Not sure why you've pivoted to Gaetz, but you can count his trial cases on you fingers with room to spare, and you think he has a resume to be AG of the United States? Jeebus. Gaetz is more likely to end up in court as a defendant at this point. Even Republican senators think that drug bones and sex with high school girls is a bridge too far.

You're being deliberately stupid. Harris was the AG of our nation's largest state and a US senator. Which is pretty normal resume for a VP pick. In fact, about half of all VP picks have come out of the Senate. Vance, being only the latest example, and with a lot less relevant experience. Additionally, even if you weren't lying about Harris's qualification--which you most certainly are--it would not in any way rationalize or justify the Gabbard nomination nor the seemingly endless parade of Trump nominees who have no business doing the job for which they're being considered. Your argument, such as it is, is that Biden picked someone underqualified, so Trump should try to top that by picking people entirely out of let field. Eventually some lucky, pimple-faced teen will make Trump the "Best Milkshake of All Time" and end up nominated for a cabinet position. I don't think you know how chess works. And checkmate is one word, FYI.

No. Why the hell would any sane person think that experience as a prosecutor qualifies someone to run all of America's intelligence agencies? A serious appointment would be someone with deep experience in intelligence work. You know, someone who has an advanced understanding of the incredibly serious job they'd be accepting. Trump obviously prioritizes VERY different credentials: namely personal loyalty and media reach. We're just watching the worst season of The Apprentice ever. But America voted for a reality TV huckster, so nobody can be surprised that we got President Camacho.
-
Another classic Trump pick: someone with no experience or qualification to earn an interview for this job, let alone an appointment. Worse still, in this case he's trying to give every intelligence secret America has to a woman who thinks those secrets should be leaked. Classic Trump clown car. Except, you know, putting American lives at risk.

I wasn't sure about Pete Hegseth

Yep, this is the full range of your "formidable" intellect on display. -
Your feelings<<<<facts. Define a good economy? The economy is very good--by any measure at this point. And as has been explained to you many, many times, you information-proof goon, we've had record fossil fuel production under Biden. We're energy independent. (That's a problematic term within a global market, but it's a fact that we're net energy exporters.) Your ignorance of economics is fine. Nobody know everything. You refusal to learn and even acknowledge basic facts is a much bigger problem. Your "argument" is self defeating. Not even vaguely rational. You say fossil fuels are the key to economic success. It is a fact that under Biden we've produced more fossil fuel energy than ever before. And then you want to claim that the economy is terrible. Jeebus. You'd have a better chance of saying something correct if you just assembled random words.

Maybe you'd be more comfortable debating politics with actual children. They're much more likely to be impressed by your Pee-Wee Herman routine. -

You people will say ANYTHING. Lol There simply is no argument that a person with no significant executive experience is qualified to lead an organization with 1.5 million people and nearly a trillion dollars in budget. That is not an every level position. And it's not a defensible position. You sound like buffoons when you fall all over yourself trying to play it off as reasonable. "He was IN the military!" Sure, with no senior leadership roles or national security experience. "She was a shift manager at McDonald's for 20 years! Of course she's ready to be CEO!" Not to mention that a month ago you same asshats were lined up to mock service in the Minnesota National Guard as "playing soldier." But as hypocrites with no integrity you've memory-holed those positions. He's a joke and so are you. -
You really can't exclude Reagan there. His economy was on debt steroids, overspending at record levels. The GHWB recession was in many ways just the come-down from Reagan excesses. GHWB was the only"fiscally responsible" Republican in the modern era. And, of course, Trump's fiscal policy was epically irresponsible. Record-setting awful.

KSU: "Pardon me, sir. I don't mean to interrupt your crazy rant. People will think I'm super special if I stop and engage you in a debate about the crazy shit you're saying. I apparently have a loooot of free time and endless patience. Do you have any literature I might peruse." You know, to help me sharpen my arguments."

I'm glad you can name one thing. Now break out the rest of your fingers (however many you have left) and start counting upward until you get to "numerous." Again, the Mueller report DIRECTLY contradicts what you said about the Mueller report. -- So how is this asinine "conversation" dragging on for pages. Just be wrong and move on with your life--whatever that may mean.
-
And, more tellingly, if Trump wasn't aware and discovered that Manafort had betrayed him by sharing sensitive campaign info with the Russians then Trump would not have pardoned Manafort. -- Trump is a vindictive shit. He rewards loyalty and punishes anything that can be construed at disloyalty. He protected and rewarded Manafort, not just for sake of loyalty, but also Manafort wouldn't roll on him. Trump knew.
-
No, it wasn't you useless, squishy turd. Do you know what the word "numerous" means? I'll help you out. It means many--more than one, more than a few or several. First and farking foremost among those many relationships is Campaign Manager Paul Manafort sending campaign research and strategy to a Russian intelligence operative who was working against the American people.
-
You're as dumb as a goddamn bag of hammers. I didn't move the goalpost. I literally quoted your claim. And I literally quoted from the Mueller report which contradicts your claim. Again, for the bag-of-hammers crowd. You claimed, " Yes he concluded after his racketeering scam that he could not establish a connection between any American and the Russian government." From the Mueller report: "The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump Campaign." It's not hidden. It's page farking ONE.

Well, I mean, good for them, I guess. But, honestly, could there possibly be anything in that report that is disqualifying. Republicans ran a sex abuser/rapist for the presidency and for unfathomable reasons, Americans elected him. Now we're going to pretend that prostitution or statutory rape or sex trafficking is disqualifying to the AG? I mean, of course it SHOULD be disqualifying, but this is not that America anymore.
