Do we agree? Term & Age Limits in Congress?

God forbid you agree with anything that points out the grave injustices that black people face. But of course you won’t admit that you’re racist. -
Do we agree? Term & Age Limits in Congress?

Except you can’t actually tell us anything Biden is doing badly. That’s the problem with all the Biden critics: They’re personality driven. Our economy is going gangbusters, if you haven’t noticed. Every economic indicator is up. Interest rates have risen to a stable 20 year high, and the economy continues to power on. Biden got all of NATO to agree to support Ukraine, and he got Congressional support as well. There are very effective worldwide sanctions in place on Russia. So, what is your criticism? It’s a bunch of 3 year-old mentality rubbish. Yes, the lifelong stutterer still stutters. Well, FDR didn’t learn how to walk when he was President, and we did great under his leadership. -
Let’s play: 1) Election Security: Name one single precinct in the entire nation in which voter fraud was uncovered, resulting in changing the Presidential result from one candidate to another. Just ONE precinct!!!! 2) Border Security: Describe the policy which Biden can implement, consistent with US law, which will reduce immigration. Being the dope you are, I’m sure you have absolutely no clue how current immigration law currently prevents the President from simply deporting undocumented immigrants. Where’s Kevin McCarthy’s immigration law? 3) The economy: Please name the “worst ever” economic index you’re referring to. You can’t, so I’ll just laugh at your lunacy some more. 4) Foreign Policy: Biden is powerfully standing up to Russia, while Trump would obviously cave in instantly. Making stupid speeches isn’t foreign policy, it’s just bombastic fluff. Trump threatened North Korea at the UN and had zero results in stopping their nuclear missile program.

The WONDERFUL uses for Fossil Fuels
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You are embarrassingly dumb. Cars can obviously run on electricity. So can trucks. Amazon is transitioning all of their delivery fleet to electric because it’s more efficient and saves them money. Trains can very obviously run on electricity, and most do. So I can’t find somebody with a windmill at their house? Can you find somebody with a natural gas turbine or a nuclear reactor at their house? You are the biggest dope I’ve ever come across. -

But like this one’s like a raccoon and this one’s like a sheep and that one’s like a motorcycle and that one’s like a porcupine… you make no sense whatsoever. You’re only fooling yourself. Take a look at all the octogenarians in the US Senate. They’re all too old for the job. -

Obviously this is occurring in both parties. You’re the partisan hack thinking it impacts only one party. -

Trump’s Calendar is Filling Up!

Everybody wants America to be great, but the majority of Americans who voted in the last Presidential election don’t agree with how Trump wants to make America great. -
Do we agree? Term & Age Limits in Congress?
Rebound replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
TBH, I don’t think age is arbitrary. We have a very bad system right now, especially with regards to the US Senate. Once elected to the Senate, that person typically remains for life. Chuck Grassley is 89 and has been a senator for over 40 years. Considering the monumental power and the importance of the decisions these people have… surely there are plenty of other people willing and capable of doing the job. I don’t think we have a representative government when we have a ruling class like that. -

Wrong again, as always. I thought you studied law, but I guess that’s a lie. Term and age limits for Congressmen have been ruled unconstitutional by courts, because the Constitution defines the requirements to be a Congressman. This is why the Constitution had to be amended to establish term limits for President. -

How can you put that in the Constitution? -

Of course, this change would require Constitutional Amendment. And maybe in 50 years, and 80 year-old might be just as healthy as a 30 year-old; who knows? -
The WONDERFUL uses for Fossil Fuels
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Your analysis is completely false. You are describing the benefits of ENERGY, which can be provided without using fossil fuels (except in jets), and you’re demonstrating the reason why fossil fuel use is not a good solution for this task: -
“I hate America” is YOUR projection. Stop already with the “We need to make it seem as though slavery wasn’t so bad”. It WAS bad. Imagine being owned by someone your entire life, and forced to perform hard labor seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, until you drop dead in the fields. Most slaves died in their 30’s. They were treated no differently than cattle. White people didn’t just perpetrate slavery. They also died, 100,000’s, to stop slavery. So our race does not make us guilty, our actions and our attitudes do. And your attitude needs improvement.

Trump’s Calendar is Filling Up!

Yes, Trump was charged. Page 27 of the amended indictment describes Count 33 which is listed on page 38, and also Counts 40 and 41, which are listed on pages 49 and 50. https://int.nyt.com/data/documenttools/us-v-trump-nauta-de-oliveira-7-27/895d71fac28b2930/full.pdf -
You don’t see it? They start by saying that Slavery was started by black people, which isn’t true. There was Slavery in the Bible and in Rome. Then they go to a lot of trouble to begin this AMERICAN HISTORY lesson by explaining that slavery outside of America was much worse, which is an obvious attempt to make American slavery seem so much better. As if America was were helping these people by treating them a little less savagely. Then they get to US Slavery and ignore its horrific brutality and claim the slaves learned “valuable skills.” Yeah, look at how rich they became when slavery ended, right? Valuable skills my ass, any skills they developed benefitted their owners.
