It's true that we try to frustrate the democratic will of the people here. The elites have done their best to ensure that only they are heard on major public platforms and that views that run contrary to theirs are mocked and disdained while often being twisted out of shape. They also judicialize parts of governing so that their own appointed judges impose changes they themselves want but which are opposed by large numbers of the electorate. Trump does not have an economic policy. Or any other policy. He babbles things into the microphone, but where was his 'perfect' healthcare policy? It didn't exist. All he wanted to do was wreck Obamacare. He had nothing to replace it with. Where is his wall? He forgot about it as soon as he got elected, right up until the Democrats took over the House and he could use it as a cudgel to beat them with. Where was his great half trillion dollar bill to improve infrastructure? He forgot about that too. Just like he forgot about not taking vacations. LOL. He took more vacations than any president in history. He was also going to balance the budget. That sure as hell didn't work out! I don't mind them. What I do mind is his attitude towards national defense, his mocking, ridiculing and ignoring of what his generals and his intelligence people tell him - when he'll even let them talk to him. His arrogant belief that 'he knows better' than them, and his kowtowing to dictators. Also not happy at his disdain for democracy, and efforts to prevent his successor from taking office.

You can certainly blame him for the last eight years of ever-increasing numbers of immigrants, foreign workers, foreign student-workers, and refugees. For years now we've been told by those who support high immigration that it's a huge boon to our economy. Well, as the numbers have grown the economy has stagnated, and is now failing. Our standard of living has been going steadily down compared to other Western countries. And our social cohesion has been breaking down as our sense of shared values and identity disappears. As foreign communities here have grown in strength and power they've flexed their electoral muscles, not on behalf of what they believe will improve life in Canada but on behalf of their former homelands. Which is why we see Trudeau desperately trying to please Muslim voters without going too far so as to turn off their more traditionalist base. It's also why instead of seeing increased economic ties with the world's most populace nation Trudeau has spent the last eight years catering to Sikh separatists in Canada in order to earn their loyalty and votes, even though this has earned India's enmity. And how will this proceed if such a high volume of immigrants continues? How much more electoral power will they have to vote in governments that favor their homelands rather than what is best for Canada?

How did Israel 'start it'? And I think most Israelis would be delighted if they could leave the West Bank and Gaza and completely ignore them thereafter. But anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows that if Israel left the very first thing the Palis would do would be to get their hands on as much heavy weaponry as they could find, train up, and then attack Israel again.
