New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre
ExFlyer replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Huh??? Crying about what??? Carney needed 2 votes and 3 conservatives decided not to vote... giving Carney more than he needed. Seems I am laughing at the teamwork the conservatives have shown to their leader LOL Time for you to get with the tomes...and the time is PP LOST ...again. LOL -
Old news...and all gone. Time to move on with today and tomorrow. The problem is the conservatives have no leaders in their ranks any more. 4 election losses with 4 different leads should be awakening them. I am a conservative by heart and would love to voie for them again but...not while there are imbiceles in charge. I am afraid the conservatives are like the republicans and there will not be anyone contending for leadership and we will have PP back , just like the republicans have trump again.

Thing is, Canadians do not like Polievere and I agree. If the conservatives get a real leader, then they will win. "while 73 per cent of Canadians view Poilievre as a “strong critic of the government” in his official opposition role, 50 per cent say they would be “ashamed” to call him prime minister." https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/article/half-of-canadians-would-be-ashamed-to-call-poilievre-pm-as-tory-leader-wins-back-seat-in-parliament-angus-reid/ https://angusreid.org/federal-politics-poilievre-favourability-hits-lowest-point-of-his-leadership-carney-approval/

If you were watching budget vote, you might’ve noticed something odd: two Conservative MPs in the House didn’t vote during the roll call, Andrew Scheer and Scott Reid. On the record, that means they abstained. Only after the motion passed by four votes did they suddenly pop up claiming “technical issues” with their app and asked to register their “no” votes, narrowing the margin to two. The problem? The technical-issue exception only applies to MPs voting virtually. These two were sitting right there in the chamber. This wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t confusion. It was the Conservatives quietly dodging a non-confidence vote because they absolutely do not want an election right now. They’re playing games and hoping Canadians don’t notice.

The CPC leader has an unfavourable rate of 60 per cent, putting his net score at a negative 26, the worst recorded since he took over the leadership." https://angusreid.org/federal-politics-poilievre-favourability-hits-lowest-point-of-his-leadership-carney-approval/ What's incoherent?? New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre

I think you mean our NATO support? And of course, our defence of our northern passage as well. -
I do not see this as a "Pyrrhic victory " at all. That is a conservative excuse... it is like saying the liberals did not win the majority of the Canadian votes. Fact is they won. Whether is it by 1 vote, 4 votes or 50 votes, a victory is the same. The whining and clamouring for Liberal defeat by some makes the passing of the budget a victory and.... no election for the rest of us. To be honest, no one wanted and election. The NDP could not afford one and the conservatives would have lost big time had they forced one. PP has not gotten the support from the Canadian public and would have lost again and this time by even more. yes the conservative party is in a virtual tie for electoral support but PP is way down and, I think, cannot recover until he becomes a Canadian vice the complainer. He truly need to get his security clearances so he can be read into what is going on and can actually meet other world leaders and be regularly briefed. I mean, even Elizabeth May knows more then PP does LOL I have said many times I am not a liberals and have not been since Pierre's fuddle duddle drive through BC in the early 70's but...the PC party has lost its way and have had no leader in the past 4 elections. They need to find someone. I would have voted for Rona Ambrose but instead watched the party crash since Harper was forced to resign.

New Submarines: Carney vs Poilievre

Still cannot move on eh??? HA HA HA. LOSER LOL -
YOU LOSE !!!!! Prime Minister Mark Carney’s minority Liberal government has survived a major confidence test after MPs approved the federal budget in a 170–168 vote. The tight outcome hinged on a last-minute decision by Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, who voted yes after Carney publicly reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to meeting the Paris climate targets. Despite her support, the Liberals still required at least one opposition vote or a combination of abstentions to avoid defeat, as they hold only 169 voting MPs. Several NDP MPs voted against the budget, while others abstained, creating just enough space for the government to secure passage and avoid triggering another national election — which would have been Canada’s second in 2025. Carney’s first budget includes billions in new spending aimed at stabilizing the economy amid a trade war, alongside billions in public-service cuts intended to reduce the deficit. The result preserves government stability, at least for now. How does it feel LOSER???? HA HA HA. Even 2 of PP's people bailed out LOL LOL LOL Prime Minister Mark Carney’s minority Liberal government has survived a major confidence test after MPs approved the federal budget in a 170–168 vote. And how does my criticism stop complainitives from choosing a leader that can win?? LOL For sure...keep him and keep LOSING LOL
-
If so...how come they did not form the government??? LOL Yup, the liberals knew this had a lousy leader and made him resign...the unfortunate thing is the complainatives do not believe they have a lousy leader this time (after 4 losing elections) and may keep the LOSER PP Le Pew. HA HA HA...if the complainatives did so well...how come they did not form government? Fact is they lost 4 elections in a row. HA HA HA. That is not a lie...that is fact....conservatives lost 4 elections in a row... LOL
