China is the worlds 2nd biggest economy...hardly 3rd world. Where the people live is of no concern....are our farmers living in the middle of nowhere in the prairies in the same category? Or the ones living in NWT or Nunavut or Northern BC or Yukon?

Carney is the Prime Minster of Canada. It is his responsibility and obligation to present Canada to the World...and he is doing that. Yes he is gracious and is well received in all the countries he has visited. He has been good for Canada and has not been obnoxious to anyone. He has put Canada in a good light everywhere he has gone. Kudos to his efforts.

I think the EV stuff is just show business... all show no go. EV sales have plummeted. We are not interested. Plants are shutting down or slowing down. Ye, there may be a surge because there are always those that jump on new bandwagons but, Canada is not into EV's. I think opening up the EV imports was a very wise thing to do. China has a huge effort to sell EV's in Canada. Lots of work for Canadians in building and manning dealerships and all the infrastructure, supply chain and logistics needed to sell their EV's. In the meantime, we get to sell our agricultural and aquacultural products back to where it is beneficial for Canadians. There are far more workers in those areas of the country than auto workers in Ontario.

Why? He is travelling to many countries trying to encourage and develop trade. It takes time for deals to develop and begin. Old deals have to expire before new ones can begin. The results of his efforts should be seen within a year or 2.

Having been in the position of hiring people...I have not seen any applications for jobs that ask for your colour or gender in my tenure. Maybe in the past but certainly no tin the past 20 or so years. Applications I have dealt with do not even ask age or race. Many resumes do not even have names, as applicants are given a number.
