The Unconscionable Persecution of Tamara Lich
ExFlyer replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
or you get a justice of the peace that cares so much it does not matter is you break it by one inch or one mile. or you get a judges that sees it differently, makes no matter to me there either. Nope, being in jail does not make you guilty, it just makes you stupid enough to do something that put you there for a while. -

Look, I told you I really do not care. Fact is, she breached the conditions of bail Be it ian inch or a mile. It was done. Your obsessions take weird turns, now it is a justice of peace in your sights LOL -
Yes we "choose" A democracy is not singular, cannot be. It is everyone.

For sure. A poor lawyer is a bad lawyer LOL (and they are all lawyers) -

Well, it was never "our" system. It is the legal system and unfortunately it can never be clear and concise enough to prevent it from being manipulated by anyone, layers and prosecutors an judges alike. It has become so overly complicated and openly criticized. That is why there are so many levels and appeal opportunities. That is why it takes 10 years to deport a convicted criminal. That is why it costs a fortune just to get off simple charges. -

OK, be disgusted. Facts are, she was in jail because she could not come up with bail. Then when someone coughed up her bail, she could not find a lawyer. When she got super lawyer Greenspon, she breached her bail restrictions and even her super lawyer could not get her out for a while. Who cares how old she is and that she is a grandmother? She can be as stupid as anyone else. The justice of the peace (as opposed to the prosecutor) is a red herring. Who cares except you protesters. Bottom line dude, you fcuk with the system and the system will fcuk with you. -

Who said the protest was illegal?? Not me. Everyone can protest. Do I agree with the protest? Some of it yes, much of what it turned out to be, no. What some of them did was considered as breaking some laws and bylaws and that is why some were ticketed, some had their vehicles towed and impounded and some were arrested for it. Calling it an abuse of power is ill thought out and incorrect when the greatest majority were not bothered, ticketed or arrests. Only a few were and those were deemed to be "leaders" and instigators of certain activities -

Again, why? It has nothing to do with my "feelings". When Iook at it just in black and white, that is what I see. Right and wrong. The police looked at it with some grey areas and therefore did not charge everybody, only those they considered leaders in the event. That is not unusual at all. That happens in protests all over. Look at the January 6 shit show in the US. They wanted the leaders and the ones that made the most noise and they are getting them . If they get out of control, they look for leaders. -

OK. Your opinion. And taken as such, an opinion. I am allowed to have mine. -

Offended? Ha. Why are you so insistent I agree with you. That is not being offended, it is a wonder. -

Clearly not a sports fan. Missed it entirely. Point was that there can be a call on every play but they choose not to enforce them until it gets to be too much. -

OK. Or to show what could happen. Just like in football, a holding penalty can be called on almost every play but it isn't, only when it gets excessive do the refs hammer down. So, the law hammered down on a few. -

Again, why is my opinion so important to you?? I said my piece. -

Geez, thanks for speaking for me. Thanks for telling me who programs me. Quite presumptuous of you but then, why expect more from you? You are, and am being presumptuous now, an idiot thinking you know me or anyone else that disagrees with you or has different opinions than yours. Pompous and arrogant is my opinion of you. I am fine with law abiding citizens of this country. There are laws that I do not like as well so, I avoid doing anything that may breach them and testing the law enforcement officials. -

Why is what I believe so important to you?? Your obsession with what I say is becoming frightening. I say things that make sense to me as I have no prejudice. I do not care about her or your cause. Like em or not, there are rules (laws) and like with any game, if you break em, you get a penalty. As for a settlement, based on what? The charges against her may be dropped but she broke those minor laws. Having charged dropped does not absolve, it only diminishes punishment. -

Hey, she is being charged and held under existing laws, nothing new. Like em or not, they are and have been there for a long time. You can and do call everything "bad" if it does not fit your narrative or likes. Oh and understand this. I could not, in any way, care less about Lich or her cohorts. I would feel the same way about anyone being stupid and flaunting laws for a stupid cause. -

The law is legislated, as has been in every society from the beginning. There have always been rules. Some good, some bad, but all have been enacted for a reason. -

If she was falsely imprisoned, she would have been released a long time ago. Not 50 days in jail and under bail restrictions. Her lawyer could not prove her case so... I could care less about her or anyones cause. Play the game within the rules and your cause will not end up with you in jail. The rule of law, or any rule for any game you play is very important. Fuck up and you get a penalty. -
Yes, the government is setting up mitigation for the fertilizer problem. Who buys cow shit?? And if there is a viable market, why have the farmers not already embraced that market and prevented or reduced the problem? The government has told the farmers that want to retire or quit that it will buy their land. As is stated in the article I posted. Your obsession with the WEF is as paranoid as anything I have ever read on this forum, maybe even worse.

Au Contraire, I have always said she will probably get off or have charges dropped or reduced. Thing is, have the 50 days in jail, restrictions of her movements, besmirching of her reputation and whatever other conditions she has had to live with for the past almost 6 months worth it? You are only a martyr if you are dead, otherwise you are a asterisk in a news cycle. -
This forum has really attracted a pervert. He keeps changing names. maybe a IP ban should be made?

They are now in crisis management mode. The pollution problem had been well known but lack of initiative and action has now made it a real problem and something has to be done. Even though everyone knew, blindfolds were worn and now the blindfolds have top come off and no one is happy. The Netherlands has a very bad pollution problem killing the water ecosystm which is the prime livelihood of the country. They have to do something or else it will all stop. The government set fertilizer limits for agriculture farmers.. Dairy cattle and beef livestock and their manure is a huge part of the runoff problem as well. The government sees no way to control or lessen the problem so yes, they have offered to buy out farmers in order to save some of the farms.. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/dec/15/netherlands-announces-25bn-plan-to-radically-reduce-livestock-numbers?
