Is Trudeau trying to cut the world's population in Canada?
ExFlyer replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No it is not. Even the so called leaders were not truckers. It was a trucker deal in the beginning but very quickly became a sham for other things. Your stats of contributors is what is complete nonsense. Actually, only 216 accounts were held. This is far more BS than you espouse. -

Gosh, almost the same was said in the late 70's early 80's when interest rates were as high at 18%. We had the oil embargo's where oil prices soared and line ups at gas stations was hours long, if the station even had oil. Average hourly wage was about $3 per hour and average yearly wage was about $21K per year. Inflation was higher than 10% The world did not come to an end , we survived, life went on. Yes it was hard but we survived. We had to adjust our lifestyles to make it. I have not a great deal of sympathy because I lived through interest rate highs and cost of living highs much worse than this. -

Actually, there were very few truckers. Most were hangar ons and party goers whatever else.. -
BC Liberal MLA fired after retweeting misinformation
ExFlyer replied to herbie's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Lets not throw too many stones. Harper made promises and had over 10 years and did nothing either. Fact is, Canada's climate program promises are abject failures. Yes, we can replace poor performers in the Military or organizations or companies but, in Canada, we do not have a recall process where we can fire politicians9at any level). Also, in politics, poor performance is very difficult to prove. While you may not like what is being done, others like it.... hence, we have elections. Yeah, the carbon tax promise is a piss poor plan although, there are a lot of believers that like the money back. Being fooled by a cheque is how we roll in this country. I travel to Europe a lot and yes, there are a lot of wind generators but I do not believe they are that much farther ahead in the climate change issue. Europe has almost 200 nuclear power plants whereas in the entirety of Canada there are only 6. So, in that regard yes, they are more energy aware and cleaner. -
The best you got??

I think you mistake. I do not hate. I am not pitting against anyone. I am playing devils advocate only because of the intensely strong take on a number of things by some. I have often said I agree with many aspects but, the bashing I get because I disagree or have another take is just too good to leave alone. I am not a Trudeau fan, nor am I an advocate for his policies but when I see or read things that do not make sense or that are outright false and the inability for some to not accept different opinions, I just have to step in. Anyway, thanks for the thoughtful post.

Boo Hoo.

Huh? Oh, it's you again? LOL
-
Oh bandana, that is all you got... ever LOL
-
But here you are again, responding to my posts. and waiting and waiting and waiting...... for what?
-
I am totally overwhelmed that you guys are so impressed with me and that it is so important to you that I agree with you. That you would expend so much energy and effort to try enlighten me is, well, heartwarming. thanks guys
-
Aww, so feeble. It's OK, "exactly that you're known for lol",
-
Ha! you like that empty strawman allegation. Bottom line is, you are stuck, i am not.
-
Sucks to be on the wrong side eh?? LOL No problem at all. I can come and go as I please. Travel all over without any restrictions. And you? Probably cannot even fly or take a train
-
Yes, you do forget other country's requirements. You are constantly told they won't let you in but you just resort ot Canadian requirements.
-
A foolish comment from ill informed people.
-
No one is saying the ideas are good. Point is, shitting on Canada and whining about not being able to go anywhere because of our requirements you folks forget that other countries also have hte same requirements. Saying you cannot go because of our rules is narrow minded and ill informed. You cannot go because they will not let you in.

Justin Trudeau is the PM, as elected by the voters. International perspective means diddly to me. The international places I visit like my dollars when I travel there so.... Me, I am quite happy. You, on the other hand care too much what others think of you. I think it is called paranoia and social anxiety disorder. .
-
Don't ya just hate it when you are slapped in the face with facts LOL A failed deflection once again Here it is again "All non-immigrant, non-U.S. citizen air travelers to the United States must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States. In addition, fully vaccinated foreign nationals may also enter the United States at land ports of entry (POE) and ferry terminals." https://ca.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-canada-3/
-
Chuckle. Throw more real information at you and you quiver in reality
-
You did not have to tell anyone anything but your ego made you blare it out.
-
You are aware that "All non-immigrant, non-U.S. citizen air travelers to the United States must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States. In addition, fully vaccinated foreign nationals may also enter the United States at land ports of entry (POE) and ferry terminals."?? Canada is not so different. https://ca.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-canada-3/

Why should I care what other countries think of Canada? When it comes down to it, in all my travels, they take my money regardless what colour it is. The international perspective is that dissidents like you are ruining this country.

BC Liberal MLA fired after retweeting misinformation

Not disagreeing with you but the previous conservative government did the same. Environmentalists would have trouble backing conservatives too based on past experience.. https://thenarwhal.ca/harper-s-timeline-canada-climate-change-2006-2014/ The truth of the matter is Canada, while they have had "plans" none are achievable nor do they really have any effect except to costing the average person money. Love the comment by the BC Liberal leader “Politics is a team sport and British Columbians expect their elected officials to work cooperatively on the important issues facing our province". He is so right, provincial or federal. -
Back again Yup, and they are all mine.... not some conspiracy theory website or facebook or twitter.
