  1. I agree with everything you say. My point was really that Canada has signed on and made unkept promises since these climate accords began in 1995 with the Kyoto Protocol and Accord. We have had Liberal and conservative governments going to these things and making promises at each and every one and not one of the promises have been kept, regardless of who was in power. All our governments have epically failed. Paul Martin failed, as did Mulroney and Chretien and Harper too. Harper failed on all his promises too https://thenarwhal.ca/harper-s-timeline-canada-climate-change-2006-2014/ Justin is just in a long line of Canadian leaders to blow smoke up everyone asses. Europe will suffer somewhat come this winter but, I think the world will (and already has) come to the rescue to offset the shortages from Russian oil and natural gas.
  2. Nope, like always, my opinion. And, like always, you don't have a good comeback
  3. You know, you, WestConMan, West, Zeitgeist, and, Yzermandius19 and a couple others are just too easily wound up. Guessing a large % of members here know that You and your group is so living in the past, so easily sucked into conspiracy, so uninformed, so easily brow beaten and in the end, when you are confronted with reality, all you got is to whine about spelling and grammar? You do not know or cannot accept that some folks really do not believe anything you say or have to say or worse, really care about what you say and think. Yet, you cannot let go and keep coming back over and over again to try to convince others of your wayward and offbeat ways. How sad a group are you?? LOL
  4. And yet, you spend so much time with me. C'mon, admit it, I am so right that you need to spend so much time to try and convince me I am wrong.
  5. Oooo, off topic again?? Or did you miss out on the chum??
  6. I accept nothing, don't need to and don't expect to. So, you are wrong again
  7. Well, ya gotta wait at least 3 years till the election. Even if the conservatives win, nothing will change, especially the past
  8. And back to chamber of constant sleep the next day, exactly where they are stuck now. LOL Same as the convoy... here then, gone now.
  9. Ouch... such poignant retorts LOL Oh and, you still could not answer the questions which is something you are best at...no answers when confronted.
  10. Again, spelling and grammar as opposed to content is all you got? Figures LOL
  11. Hey, I was very low paid and low on the totem pole back then. I am now single income on pension and had to work hard, do without and save to be where I am now. Inflation hits me too, now and back then. No one owes you anything. You earn what you get and what you have. You do what you have to in order to succeed and survive. Every generation has had it's challenges and this one and future ones will also have good times and hard times. Whining and crying and blaming government or business or banks or people richer than you or whomever will get you.... absolutely nothing. Sorry but, that is the bottom line.
  12. I don't troll. I just feed. It is fun to watch the waters boiling in frenzy by a few of the species here I can sure stir you guys up buy throwing out a bit of chum Just cannot get past the February event and that is has had zero impact on Canada or anything. Poor little protesters and their hanger ons.
  13. Aha... real truckers were doing all they needed to do to go international and inter provincial... and they did. they kept the economy rolling and got lots of praise for dong so. I miss your points perhaps but, I see the results. Normality - 1, truckers -0. As usual - 1, freedomites - 0 Not out of my depth at all and definitely swimming in the reality pool. What pool are the hanger ons and party goers and freedomites in?? Oh yeah, wallowing in the pool of dispair.
  14. Booi Hoo.Who won? Certainly not the truckers or the freedomites. Nothing changed. And for sure, not the senate.
  15. Oh, freedom of what? What changed? Oh, nothing you say? How did they make out?? LOL
  16. My spelling and grammar is all you got?? LOL I can correct that but you cannot correct you foolishness and blindness and narrow mindedness.
  17. The personal debt level was as detrimental and difficult for us back then just as it is now. Point is that it was very difficult day to day then and it is difficult now. What is now is not unusual or new. Back then, my expectations and desires had to be seriously curtailed, as it is now.
  18. No assumptions . Real truckers were the ones that kept on working and even their association distanced themselves form the clowns on the hill (not in the buildings but in the tents outside). LOL And you are right, it's over and done. The protest is a thing of the past, just like the protest against Huawei 5g.
  19. I disagree. There were waaaaay more partiers and hangars on than truckers. Even the leaders were not truckers. You wake up. You said "Then there was the 100,000’s of Canadians that sent money to the trucker convoy and saw their hard earned money seized. Then some of them had their bank accounts seized." I wasn't telling you where I lived. I responded to someone asking if I was there. What a fool LOL. You say "Don’t worry, you can’t stop what’s coming. "... what is coming is same old same old until at least the last election so, suck it up buttercup, like it or leave
  20. Oh? I thought it was called Truckers Convoy, as the title of this thread?? LOL
  21. Aha!!! Finally you are on board. Exactly right. "what does it matter"?? It matters nothing any more. LOL You finally see my point, it does not matter. A long ago minor event.
  22. Actually, I am quite sure I was closer than you. I live in Ottawa. I saw the live videos and interviews with the protesters. No tone of them had anything to say about truckers. Live cameras and news coverage was going on almost all day and night,. The real truckers were working. As I said, even the "organizers" and "leaders" were not truckers. The closest they came to a truck was walking past one or owning a Tonka. LOL
  23. Never said the truckers were alone, just saying that there were way more others than truckers. I am willing to say, of all the people camped out, less than 10% were actually truckers. Even if it was a bit more, it would not be much more. Neither you nor I can give actual percentages but I saw every day live footage and heard everyday what the protesters had to say..
  24. Point? We had to live with those high interest rates, high inflation, gas lineups etc etc. Bank of Canada rate at 2.5% today is pittance by comparison to 18%. Inflation at 7% is also smaller and min wages are 5 times what they were. Sorry, it was as hard, if not more back then.
