A few words from a retiring General
ExFlyer replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Your opinion, not fact or law. Clearly did not read https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/csj-sjc/rfc-dlc/ccrf-ccdl/check/art1.html -
Nice try but, like normal, epic fail. OK. The host said extremists. He said "they don't believe in science, they are often misogynists, also often racist". In response to Quebecers that the host called extremists.

And how does Section 1 give government the ability to conscript?? Hint: it does not. https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/csj-sjc/rfc-dlc/ccrf-ccdl/check/art1.html -
Neither. Just making your rhetoric useless. If you think this forum is where all the truth and facts are, you drank too much kool aid LOL Bottom line in this thread about EMA is that the convoy proponents and defenders and witnesses were a huge failure in proving any of their points. Bringing up other stuff is a deflection of the EMA commission hearings and useless. Like it or not. Face it, the reality of the situation is that in February, regardless if any blames is pinned on anyone, the report will be relegated to the archives of Canada and be forgotten. The few, like you, will forever whine and moan and cry about it but bottom line is, a pimple on history's butt will be lanced and forgotten.

You cannot force anyone to do anything in Canada, let alone going into the Military. "There are around 85 countries worldwide that have some form of obligatory military training including Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, Syria, Brazil and the Koreas. Military service is compulsory in South Korea. https://www.forces.net/world/which-countries-still-have-conscription -
Sorry, i did not understand any of that. i do not speak french.

As I said earlier, I watched a great deal of the commission on TV and was surprised at how poorly the convoy lawyer Miller performed. If you did not ""even watched a minute of it. " then you have not noting to say of any use to say and your opinion and comment is pointless.. He had multiple opportunity to question, to bring forth witnesses and evidence and he failed each time. He made accusations against a person that was not even in Ottawa at the time and was proven incorrect by his own staff and now is being sued for libel. He was unable to prove his claims and accusations and his conspiracy theories were consistently debunked and he had no defences to his statements. This was a perfect opportunity for the convoy lawyers, witnesses and proponents to tear down government, Trudeau et all and they failed. They had no case. They had a perfect opportunity and could not get their points across and here, on this forum, the rhetoric is still rampant. The convoy leadership and their representatives are all failures.

Where is the clip of him saying it??? You were asked to produce it several posts ago and yet , you cannot. You claim of him lying is a lie in itself.

You cannot force anyone to join the military, just as you cannot force anyone to become a carpenter. -
WTF???? Memories are a nice place to visit, but a terrible place to live

I joined just as unification happened. Unification was not a new idea, just enacted by Hellyer. Primarily for budget reasons and that the Canadian military had 3 separate administrations for very few Military personnel. Amalgamating the support services made sense. What did not make sense was turning everyone green. -
Wrong, you constantly keep bringing up the past and the soldiers and people from that past time. They were them, they are not now and will never be now. Welcome to 2022, not to 1918

Back to the topic, EMA Commission. Well, I watch a lot of the televised Commission. I saw and heard what I expected from government attorneys and witnesses. I was sorely disappointing by the attorneys and witnesses for the Convoy side. I was for sure hoping that they would have a better case and better evidence and better witnesses for their complaints, accusations and charges. The convoys attorney Miller performance was very poor and every time he made an accusation, the witness being questioned basically just shut him down and he had no recourse or evidence to prove himself. He even accused someone that was not even in Ottawa to be a liberal supported of carrying a nazi flag and was shut down by his own team. Very disappointed in the convoy side of this. As one reported said "Those who supported the convoy will never accept any claim that it was justified and to those who opposed the convoy, any action, legal or not, was justified to end the protests. The remainder of Canadians in the middle just want to move on from those days."

I did not question your birth. I made a comment on your post. ' there are those Canadians who defend & uphold the heights of Queenston to the heights of Vimy Ridge with their lives as necessary and there are those Canadians who simply do not remember where they come from" I repeat: "You try so hard to compare today to yesteryear. The men (and Women) of yesteryear were far more loyal and patriotic than any of today. No comparison at all."

Actually, it is Canadian government, regardless of party, incompetence towards the Military. Our Military has not been appreciated since the Korean conflict. Only when our soldiers started dying in Afghanistan, we started to think about the Military but, unfortunately, that was because they were dying. -
Show me.

As Shakespeare said "What babble is this?" LOL HST was long before carbon tax and there is a sales tax on everything, no matter what. CEO wages have nothing to do with carbon charge or HST, they pay it too. Taxes pay for everything you get....from roads to health care to all other services. We all get and and we all pay, regardless of your wages.

And did he actually say that? Prove it. Just because something is repeated on a forum does not make it true, just makes it repeated.
-
Oh, spare me your paranoia dude. Ever think it can be used to save your or your kids life if they are not able to get to your family doctor? Yup, that is it.
-
What a bunch of incredibly paranoid people on this forum. This is a vaccination record, not a "passport". The letter the OP got is for his kids. It is B.C.’s Vaccination Status Reporting Regulation for students The links are for B.C.’s Vaccination Status Reporting Regulation for students The other link is for a health Gateway that allows doctors or medical persons or you to access your health records if you are not at your family doctor.

You spend your time around Army personnel. I have not spent so much. I was Air Force. I spent a number of years at NDHQ (where most officers reside :)) I have also done lot of time with Navy, primarily in their Aviation division and can say, the people I was in contact with spent little or no time in theatre. Getting a medal for being in theatre meant spending a certain amount of time there. In my experience, many air force personnel rotated through with short stays. While soldiers did go, the many other vocations and trades in the Military did not have to go. That is all I am saying. -
Hardly but hey, when you take things out of context, you can make yourself believe anything... as you are so qualified to do LOL
-
My comment was to someone claiming "all the times you said "It's over, stop crying about it"? I responded to that saying "the event is over". I did not ever cry. The context was important, he accused me of saying something and I did not. Unfortunately, i do not understand your analogy of your prisoners or your CO talking about your " if your willing to do this to someone in our own BN ". No one was taken prisoner and no one was shacked to their trucks. Yes, the participants were Canadians but I never heard of talks about sending anyone to any camps over vaccinations (maybe here on the forum there were some conspiracy theories about it but, never anywhere else). So, bottom line is the event is over and the commission, which ends today, will hopefully provide us with lessons, from which we hopefully will learn.
