  1. No, some will just re-define rich and poor. The rich would be what we once called middle income LOL I could never understand why some folks are so obsessed by what others have (or earned). Seems jealousy more than reality.
  2. From what I have seen, the most common denominator is that the protesters want the universities (colleges) to stop dealing with and divesting themselves from Israel. And you are correct, the want to stop the war. Saw many signs to stop the genocide.
  3. No spouting, just quoting with links. LOL You are the one that spouts on and on and on LOL All drugs can cause death...get real LOL
  4. Already posted and blows you out of the water LOL You are a seriously naive person if you were not aware of the side effects of any drug or vaccine. Making shit up to somehow justify your conspiracy theory is also very sad. Wake up and smell reality.. LOL
  5. You know, these kinds of announcement have been going on when I came to NDHQ. Actually before that, when the Military was going to replace the Labrador and Sea King Helicopters with the EH101's. (in about 1992) New ships were coming to be able to handle the new helicopters. Here we are 30 some odd years later and we still do not have ships and only promises to get them. Deja Vu all over again LOL Typical of parties in power, make promises for after the next election so if they don't win, all is gone. Our Military are victims of this all the time.
  6. I am not so sure it is coming from "inside the military" but would be more thinking it came from the weenies at DND. Civilians that think they know what goes on in the military bit are 100% civilian and political. They control what goes on and our CDS and Generals abide by their political masters.
  7. Yeah LOL Does not fit your narrative so.... Dude, It is from NY Times. I did not write it. Take it up and argue with them but, of course, you won't LOL The writer and researcher is Apoorva Mandavilli
  8. So, I ask again, by protesting Loblaws (or even Walmart), "you are saying the "huge corps" demanding lower prices from suppliers so they can sell cheaper to the public is wrong? "? You cannot have it both ways. Protest for cheaper prices and then being upset at corporations demanding lower prices from suppliers to pass on to retail customers. As for "smaller grocers", well, are you insinuating this has not been an issue for them for decades? Yet they survive.
  9. From NY Times COVID Vaccine Side Effects: 4 Takeaways From Our Investigation " All vaccines carry some risk of side effects. More than 270 million Americans received about 677 million doses of the COVID vaccines, and even rare side effects — occurring, say, in just 0.001% of patients — might mean thousands of recipients were affected. Indeed, more than 13,000 have submitted claims to a government fund that compensates people for COVID vaccine injuries. So far, however, only a dozen people have been compensated, nearly all of them for a heart problem caused by the vaccines." "Even the best vaccines and drugs have some side effects. That does not negate their benefits, nor does it suggest that people should stop taking them." "Deaths from the vaccines are vanishingly rare, despite claims from some conspiracy theorists that vaccines have led to a spike in mortality rates." "Closer scrutiny may reveal that many, perhaps most, of the other reported side effects are unrelated to immunization. Most of them are also associated with COVID and may be the result of undiagnosed infections. " https://ca.news.yahoo.com/covid-vaccine-side-effects-4-175334524.html
  10. Who ever "casually dismiss what Hamas did"?? We all agree the attack on 7 October was a Hamas incursion. What people are upset about and protesting is the complete Israeli bombing and invasion for the past 7 months in retaliation. You need to be a bit clearer if you do not want to be questioned.
  11. So, you are saying the "huge corps" demanding lower prices from suppliers so they can sell cheaper to the public is wrong? Who and why are you protesting??
  12. Shit yeah, lets blame the past generation instead of the ones acting today. If you want to go down that path, lets blame the people of 2 or 3 thousand years ago and into the present for not sorting out the crap they have been dealing with over the millennia?? Climate change?? Yeah, for sure blame that LOL
  13. If you did follow this thread from the beginning, you would then realize there are 4 or 5 posters that make up 95% of the posts here. All stroking each other and if and when you question or offer a different opinion you get severely chastised, sworn at and called names. There are many posts where the poster is quoting themselves to continue on with the blather LOl If you are aware, as you seem to be, medications, drugs and vaccinations affect people in many ways. Some detrimentally and some effectively. Every drug has a long list of side effects. Such is the case with covid vaccines. This is incomprehensible with the several folks here and is worth chastising to those that see this. To demean the worlds governments that did what they could with the latest technology to hamper a world wide epidemic is not only foolish, it is without full understanding of the situation. So this thread is not "the search for the truth" but the search for like minded. Therefore, to be the devils advocate, some of us keep on keeping on and challenge most of that they try to convey.
  14. Look, I am not arguing with you but if you are accusing me of a circular argument, then what are you going on about saying "'definitely have not worked for 100 years'."? Repeatedly. I asked you, what do you suggest or what plan do you have? I understand you have a personal stake in this and I have said I sympathize with you, several times but, to be belligerent and calling me out when you have no better answer, I think you have to either put up or STFU too. Like I said, politicians or public servants do not pluck this out of their ass and just say make it so. They are advised by medical practitioners, addiction experts, police and social workers. They made the decision a year or more ago and now were told it was a failure and repeal it. As I see it, you are a grieving parent looking to blame someone because you could not do anything. I think everyone is looking for a solution and so far, have failed. Taking you anger out on me is, well, misplaced. The system(s) failed and you failed. Sorry.
  15. You are arguing with conspiracy theorists. You do seem like you are having fun though LOL Of the 1.4K posts, 1.3 of them are the 4 or 5 conspiracy theorist stroking each other and feeding themselves LOL I gave up a while ago and yet...they seem to be suffering of some form of autophagia at worst or a plain conspirator at best LOL
  16. You say "them" like all addicts. I suggest to you that the tragedy that befell you was one, not all. You may say otherwise but I can pretty well say that it was not some unknown public servant that made this decision sitting in their cubicle by themselves. i am quite sure for a government to backtrack such a controversial program that there were many experts (all detached as opposed to personal involvement) involved. "Ragging" on me is pointless. I am far from an expert and only an observer yet, I see and hear and read of the failure of the gentle on the addicts programs. Fact is things are getting worse. More people are dying every year and less is being done to help. So, if what was being done over the past 100 years does not help, then what do we do? Oh, lets give up and let them take drugs anywhere, anytime without consequences. Nothing wrong with that? Maybe we should become harsher on addicts??;
  17. Don't need to be lectured. Fact is, whatever BC did was an epic fail and they are correcting it. Good on them. Sorry for your experience with your son but, perhaps you did not want the hard approach, incarcerate till cured? Sounds like you were an enabler? I am very sorry that you lost him. Don't be an a$$, I never once said I am more knowledgeable than anyone, let alone you. If it is a "sickness" then it needs to be healed, not encouraged and without consequence.
  18. I find it interesting they people are actually believing the increase in prices is because of the grocery stores. We buy almost all our product on the open market from November to August and it is almost all imported from other places in the world. The cost of production there has gone up. too. The transportation has gone up, the warehousing has gone up as well. Then we need to get it here. Shipping has gone up. Trucking has gone up. Labour costs have gone up 25+% alone. Then the dreaded carbon tax which affects every aspect of the supply chain not just for imported products but for locally grown stuff too. Then, we blame Loblaws?? Give your heads a shake folks. i see proponents of this boycott on TV and wonder if they actually understand anything except that it costs them more for groceries, not why or how. Blame the end seller??
  19. The Feds were not part of BC's plan and never discussed hard drugs.. PP is always "bellowing" not know what the issues are. Not sure if you are a former junkie or have some in your family but surely you must realize the "new" rules/processes/procedures did not work. It only seemed to make the addiction problem get worse. As for your statement about wanting "tweaks", I think you are wrong The government does not take such a dramatic an drastic change without the backing of all those organizations dealing with this problem. I am not reading or hearing any significant backlash against what the government is doing. Your analogy is not simple, let alone valid for the situation.
  20. How ya doin??? Got nuthin Eh? Fgures LOL "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Head hurt yet? LOL
