Harper had the same problems. It is a good thing Carney was his financial advisor and Governor of Bank of Canada to help him. There is nowhere that it says you are entitled to buy a house, or car, or vacation for that matter. Harpers Legacy....not so good https://policyoptions.irpp.org/magazines/october-2016/economic-performance-and-policy-during-the-harper-years/ -
And supported and backed by Canadian tax payers. If CPP was only what you put in, then you would get nothing after 5 years. LOL
-
Alberta has threatened separation many times only it did not have the balls to have a referendum like Quebec. It always need to get funding from the feds LOL
-
Awww, more excuses why PP lost it for you. LOL Suck it up...you lost and it does not matter by how many
-
Oh, hate the country but love our money?? LOL Move to Quebec, that is what they are like Oh, the Canadian taxpayer Sucking the government teat like your leader PP.
-
Yeah...but he was Harpers chosen man. He did as Harper wanted just as he did what Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne wanted and as Trudeau wanted. "In 2012, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper asked Carney—who was then governor of the Bank of Canada—if he would join the Conservative government as minister of finance." Harper loved Carney. LOL “On behalf of the Government of Canada I would like to offer my congratulations to Mark Carney on his appointment as Governor of the Bank of England. Harper then said, “In this time of global economic uncertainty, Governor Carney has done an admirable job in fulfilling the Bank of Canada’s mandate and has been a valued partner as the Government has worked to steer Canada away from the worst impacts of the global economic recession. As a result, Canada remains an example to the world with its strong banks, effective regulatory environment and sound economic policy. “I wish Governor Carney every success as he begins his new role on July 1, 2013.”" "Carney's actions as Governor of the Bank of Canada are said to have played a major role in helping Canada avoid the worst impacts of the 2008 financial crisis" "Canada has done more than survive this financial crisis. The country is positively thriving in it. Canadian banks are well capitalized and poised to take advantage of opportunities that American and European banks cannot seize." Where as PP was and is a zero and a life long politician with zero credentials.

He was also chosen by Harper to be Governor of Bank of Canada and Harper asked him to be Finance Minister. We will enjoy you whining for the next 4+ years LOL BTW....The Conservatives have had 3 leaders since Harper lost and all have grossly failed. Maybe the cons have a big problem, not the libs or Canadians LOL

BS. Ford never said anything about the election. He was completely silent. As PP was for the Ontario election except PP told his people not to help Ford. From a former conservative campaign manager "“This campaign is going to be studied for decades as the biggest *ucking disaster in terms of having lost a massive lead in ways that were so obvious, with so much information,” he said on the “Curse of Politics” podcast." -

I do not recall accusing you specifically of anything. Don't be paranoid because you are a devout conservative. I normally am conservative (except on this forum because it pi$$es off so many and it is fun to get under their skin). I saw the attitude swing and chose to vote for the candidate in my riding that would be able to do things and get things done for my riding. I suspect the blue ridings achievements are going to stagnate with this government. -

And who whined and cried foul the loudest??? Oh yeah, the conservatives. Now that your guy is un-elected, it is OK to keep him on??? LOL The liberals have not said a thing...it is the public in general that say they like the conservatives but dislike PP....from the very beginning of the election campaign. Every poll from day one had Carney as the one they liked to lead the country.... by as many as 30 points. -

And all the cons whined and cried and went berserk that he was PM. Now, the shoe is on the other foot and it is OK for a party leader to be un-elected. Talk about hypocrites! LOL -

I made far far less than you and still bought a house, I did without and was house poor but I did. I love all you righteous people telling everyone that you cannot buy a house becasue ...I don't know why...do you?? I have said, houses on the market are selling. That is a fact...check your own real estate listings and sates statistics. Who is buying??? Only extraordinarily rich people?? Are there that many rich people around?? If so, then the economy is doing quite well. So, in your self rigorousness and super intellect, how do you get these homes to the people that cannot afford them?? You are a landlord, are you going to lower the rent so they can afford to live there? Are you going to lose money every month to make yourself a saviour??? I think not. You are in it to make money. Your righteousness says something must be done...does your super intellect tell you what?? Exactly? Building more houses will not bring the price down. How are you going to build "affordable" houses when property cost is high. When lumber prices are high. When wiring, roofing, electrical, HVAC etc is high priced. When labour rates are higher than ever. When you have to pay for the roads and sewers and water infrastructure etc that adds to the cost of a home?? Are you going to be the saviour and build it for the ones that cannot afford and you will take a loss and absorb all the costs?? I think not. So, when the reality is hitting you on the head, it is you that is "flippant". It costs what it costs and sells for what it costs. You are being pompous, as pompous as PP and Jagmeet. Lots of rhetoric but in reality, the promises are impossible to keep. -

But, they lost. Whine, cry make excuses... but they lost. So what are the PC going to do now?? When Carney was selected as PM by party votes, not public election, the PC went berserk. He is NOT the PM, we never elected him!! Cannot be PM when un-elected ?? And so on was the screaming and crying. So, now that PP is unelected...is he still the leader of the PC party?? -

Many people went crazy and over bid for houses during the covid crisis and now that the mortgage is coming up, they are forced to re-evaluate. The unemployment rate is the same as it has been for a long time... a non player in this discussion. As for tent cities....there have always been homeless. They are homeless for one reason or another and mostly becasue they are unable to work or do not want to work. Those folks have never been a player in the housing market. If you are attempting to say there is no low cost rentals well, the reason may be that who wants to build and pay to have built housing that thy will have to take care of forever without any return on their investment? You wouldn't. Point is, which you are seemingly unable to comprehend, there are houses for sale and they are selling so, someone is buying.
