  1. I'm done coping. I coped with this long enough. I have 2 jabs and still caught The Rona. It swept right through my family over Christmas. 1 day and done. None of the real data justifies this. It's all now just chicken-shit and fear mongering.
  2. Speak for yourself sonny. I dont believe Canadians want anything but a return to their lives.
  3. The mortality rate of Omicron is statistically zero. Now...while I can admit, due to family experience, that vaxxed people have a much less bout with this glorified cold, the fact is nothing about this justifies the current shutdown. As for these truckers, they spend the vast majority of their time isolated in a truck cab. In a time when our logistics is a mess and trying to recover, too many people are still scared of this. I blame the medical profession, government and media for creating undue fear among the general public. Yet...fear of death, regardless of the real chance of it, is probably the most motivating factor there is to get people to agree to almost anything. Thus, it's not fair or reasonable to blame the average scaredy-cat. So I propose that we build "safe spaces" for these poor folks who have been shaken to the core by the insane level of alarmist messaging. They can stay in purified places and hunker down till the coast is clear of dirty humans. Enjoy that because for those of us with a grasp of reality and the courage to live our lives... This faux pandemic is OVER!!! Next...it's time to deal with fucking China!
  4. I'd like to take this opportunity to highlight this post. Evidently this person wants even more restrictions and government controls. A real patriot. /s
  5. Mail-in ballots have not always been available. Absentee ballots have always been available. In 2020 mail-in ballots were sent to every registered voter in most states. 3 states, Colorado, Washington and Oregon, have had mail-in ballots previously. Absentee ballots require an application with a good reason and ID verification. The Democrats used The Rona to justify that mail-in free-for-all and verification was all but non-existent. In short...it was a shit-show. BUT...the requirements for verification have now been implemented and will be strictly adhered to. Boo hoo hoo. As to my question, which you ignored, it was Lincoln's second term election where this sort of nonsense was proposed but not implemented because of fears it made cheating too easy...surprise surprise.
  6. He wouldn't...but just watch...he will.
  7. 1. Then your cohort is either mis-informed or lying. The question is, who populated your cohort with a warped sense of reality. How did your cohort come to believe lying is justified? Who's the real culprit here? 2. NO! The 'woke movement' is an effort to tear our society down and remake it. To Build Back Better. A New Normal. Evidence clearly exhibits what this New Normal would look like. Some of the evidence is the idea that we should be ratting out our family and friends. To 'cancel' them, if they step out of line. Its not just a means of pointing out lies, its a club to keep people afraid to voice opposing opinions and to point out the lies of these 'Wokesters'. It openly attacks Gawd...family...and any other stabilizing force in peoples' lives...presumably in favour of pure chaos and of course...the ensuing violent reactions. Its a sick and disturbing social development that serves no good purpose. 3. I bet Crosbie's antics worked too. A full 75% of humans do not wish to exercise their ability to think for themselves. Its way too easy just to follow along with the 25% who do. Unfortunately, that 25% is now polluted with trained 'Wokesters' who are now trying to teach such destructive crap to our kids. These agents of chaos need to be rooted out and dispensed with.
  8. 1. The definition of "lie" does apply to all...in my book. The problem is one of degrees. Should we be AS concerned about "lies" by the general public, as much as when our trained wordsmiths and journalists "lie"? Probably not eh? 2. Good. 3. I disagree with your unconscious bias theory. These are trained writers. If they consistently let their own person bias warp the meaning of a report they produce, they need to be re-trained and our trainers need to be addresses. Opinion pieces are one thing. But purposefully slanting a news report is more like social engineering than anything else.
  9. If this is true...then LOL!!! Now...once the truckers and all those socially unacceptable and dirty people leave the capital, our li'l Pixie-Dust Trudeau will dawn his battle-sockies and come out to condemn those bad...bad people, in the most stern voice the li'l tyke can muster. And the clown show continues...
  10. I think the obvious problem you have with your argument is that "the general public" are NOT held to the same standards as "the news media". See...Karen at Wallymart, or Hank the trucker, didn't study Journalism. Thus, I would not expect John Musselman at CTV to be able to drive a semi from coast to coast. He might be able to, but his effort would be more likely to end in a crash, than say Hank's daily efforts with an identical truck and task. RUMOURS...quite often have 'some' truth to them. For instance, the RUMOUR that some people on the internet have made...less that tasteful comments. Only someone who's lived his or her life in a complete bubble, would be surprised by this. And were the actual data analyzed, I'd bet there are tasteless infractions from both sides. But we don't know for sure because, our independent media chooses to not say such. And if the trusted journalist doesn't say it, or report it, it doesn't exist for many. Their rational would agree with the assumption...but argue against it till their blue in the fingertips...because John Musselman didn't report that. Instead, John chose to only report the disparaging internet chatter and also these "fringe" groups, in a crafted effort to present blame and shame on people who...Gawd friggin' forbid...actually support a removal of all current restrictions and mandates. He didn't mention that Karen at Wallymart has posted some pretty bloody outrageous crap as well. That wouldn't help his...goal. Which brings us, inevitably, back to the same ol' problem. Our "Journalists"...for the most part (hence the term 'MSM') don't sit down to type-up a report about any particular even AS IT HAPPENED without taking the opportunity to slightly warp WHAT HAPPENED to meet their particular point of view, or the point of view they've been told to present. This is nothing new. The media has been doing this, to some degree, all along. They choose to editorialize every report. Hell they teach that in the Journalism schools now. But its never been so...in your face. I have never experienced the level of pure vitriol...pure bias...and down right pure BS and lies...than I have from our "Free Press" of late.
  11. How can you post this with a clean conscience? We have all seen the success Florida has had with The Rona. Why would anyone be so...evil...as to condemn what's proven to work great? Please explain yourself? I would hate to have to think there are actually people who would rather see people die, than deviate from the prescription of the federal government which appears to be...much less effective.
  12. Gee...that looks like a list of states that don't mandate the vaccine. What an amazing coincidence...
  13. The following was published last August: https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/dr-makary-says-natural-immunity-is-more-effective-then-vaccine-immunity/ar-AAMX3sM This is very good news. Yet the governments and media have done they're best to refute the conclusion that natural immunity is more effective than the vaccines. Why? Why would our elected officials lie to us? It's rather obvious that our elected officials and the leaders of our medical profession are bought and paid for. As for the people they are supposed to be working for? 'Fuck 'em. Money talks and the public will believe anything we tell 'em.' Unfortunately...they're correct. Most people just want to believe. Our Libbie society has removed the traditional anchors of society like family, Gawd, even raw science. So what's left? The government and its media outlets...The Holy Idiot Box.
  14. Miscalculated? Drama teachers don't do well with math.
  15. Yup. Just not as sharp as his pop was.
  16. I wanna see Justin address these truckers in Ottawa. But I doubt he has the spine for that. He'll likely hide and come out to pontificate after they are dispersed.
  17. ROFLMAO!!! I've said it repeatedly... Part of this angry woke crap is the revenge of the nerds.
  18. An Afghan refugee just got caught diddling a 3 year old little girl in the US. This brought to you by The Swamp. By old Joe and his brave surrender to an Islamist terrorist organization. A virus spread across the globe in record time and has plagued the entire planet for 2 years now. Yet The Swamp has tried desperately to convince us all that it was just one of those things and sensored any questions about a virology lab in the same Chinese city this bug came from. Police forces have been cut to bare bones across the USA because a cop acted foolishly...and killed a criminal while he was resisting arrest. Then they deified said common criminal. Europe flooded itself with refugees and now they don't know what to do with them. These are but a few reasons why I...and apparently a lot of others...have lost all trust in the institutions and governments. Now you know why. My suggestion...When something swims like a fish and stinks like a fish...stop telling people it's a Gawd-Damn horse.
  19. The lisp guy! Ya I saw that. Funny and concerning all at the same time. I ran into a few moderators on Reddit that fit the same bill. Check out r/politics. It took me less that a week for them to first brigade me to death and then ban me. I like this board. It's a little more fair and balanced I think. I tried Gab but, it's a monotone drone of the same thing. No mix of ideology to discuss with. Lots of back-patting. Rather similar to Reddit in that regard. An echo chamber of wacky ideas.
  20. I wanted to see Asia when I was younger. I still would like to see some of South America, but right now I'm more interested in Central America and the Caribbean.. I'd like to see New Zealand as well. Long trip though and I dislike flying.
  21. Nope...zero warning points.
  22. That reminds me. I can get a tad...opinionated...at times too. Maybe I should check if I'm close to being in the penalty box...
  23. Actually...my daughter was born in Prague, where my high-strung Euro-wife and I started our family. Still got a house in the burbs there. I've seen most of Europe. Prague's no more than a day's drive to most parts in Western Europe. You?
