I just heard the anchor on CTV news claim although the protestors want an end to mandates and restrictions, there remains a big concern of "illness". I found the use of the word "illness" instead of "death", interesting.

Careful now. I've heard the official demands an none of them call for ""over throwing the government to a mob". They want the House of Commons disoved by the Governor and the Senate. That and an end of these tasteless rules. I figure they'll get the mandates dropped.

No we're not. Granted, we're not as confrontational as Yankees, but we created a wonderful society here based on freedom, law and order. That accomplishment must be honored. Thus, we eventually recognize bullshit for what it is and work to correct our direction. What better sect of Canadians to point us back in the right direction, then our brothers and sisters who's profession depends on going in the right direction? This BS is over. There was a time, in the beginning of The Rona, that caution was warranted and panic could be understood. That time has past. We have learned from this bug. We know how to deal with it and we know it's weakening. "Follow the science!" It was perfect advice. Still is. Yet...while free science has shown us facts we didn't know in the beginning, the institutions and businesses have chosen to maintain the initial state of panic, by denying much of our scientific discoveries. Its headed that way because the death rate of Omicron is statistically zero. And I understand this B2 variant we're hearing of is even weaker. If there's another choice...please...let me know. I mean, Mike could just be acting the part of a partisan but...I don't sense that in his writings. More I sense he's unable to, or unwilling to, question the institutional forces like government and media.

One of two things must be true then. 1. You would like the country to experience this sort of lockdown, masking and flu shot mandates every year for about 4 months. or 2. You're unable to accept a new virus that has the same effect on our population as does the common flu. Either way, you can't realistically expect the population to fly into panic mode every year. Nor can you expect them to panic perpetually. Especially when we know the stats just don't support such nonsense, considering our current toleration to...the common flu.
