I can't help it. I just love Christmas. Many would think someone my age would be over it. But no...I love it as much today as I did when I was a kid. I love giving gifts that people would never think of getting for themselves. It always makes for some nice surprises. This year, the kids decided to start a group chat and exchange our wants and needs. I abstained. I like surprises. I also love the spirit that comes over most people at Christmas. The smiles, people saying "Merry Christmas" to perfect strangers, all that good will wrapped up in a 2 week period. This year, my wife finally talked me into a fake tree. I'm not a fan, so I bought a bunch of pine scented sprays and candles. Today we have Bohemian Christmas. My wife has made her famous potato salad and we'll feast on that and fish. Czechs traditionally have deep fried Carp but...have you ever eaten Carp? It's awful. So I went to the fish shop and got some nice big Tuna steaks, a giant slab of Halibut and a nice filet of Cod. Tomorrow is the North American Christmas, Wrapping paper everywhere, chocolates everywhere, stocking stuffed with small nik-naks, and I will make a massive breakfast with sausages, eggs over easy and pancakes. We'll all spend the afternoon getting bombed...and then roast Turkey with all the trimmings and a nice glazed Ham. After which...I'll assume the position on the couch...and pass out till Wifey-Baby kicks me out of the livingroom for snoring. So have yourselves a very Merry Christmas all. Yes...even @robosmith.
