About half of Russia is in continental Europe. None of the USA is in continental Europe. Yet since the failure of the Soviet Union, Russia has broached the idea of closer ties with Western Europe several times and been ignored. So Russia is in the process of creating its own relationships and power base. He's given up on Europe. If only people had listed carefully to Trump a decade ago when he was asking why the USA and Russia can't be allies.

In the clip we have now, the cop stood back, aimed and shot. He was not being mobbed. Babbit hadn't even gotten through the window yet. He had time and he had distance between him and Babbit. IMO, Byrd acted irrationally and hasty. Somewhat like he was panicking. The whole incident was avoidable had Byrd just acted calmly and rationally. But he did not.

So I believe yesterday Trump sent a message to Putin saying it's time to negotiate peace. Putin has signaled all along that this is what he wants. Zelinsky has come out and said he now need NATO and in particular, US boots on the front lines. If I read Trump correctly, Zelinsky is sh1t outta luck. A negotiated peace deal. Gee...who'd o' thunk?

Examining the clip, the shot came from the other side of the window. These are not the same videos I saw back then. However, I still contend the cop had no right to open fire.

She was not climbing through a windows when she was shot. She was standing.

This is another instance where we 2 are never gonna agree. And as far as I can tell, she was not climbing anywhere at the time.

I do not believe the rioters would have injured anyone. At 30 seconds into the clip someone says "He's got a gun". At that point the rioters back off and THEN a shot is heard. No. I do not think shooting an unarmed woman was justified in that instance.
