Isn’t it the folks with the alphabet behind their names that actually invent and discover pretty much everything? Without smart people studying things, you and I would be having this discussion with cans and a piece of string.

I’m not sure discussion is even possible with anyone who holds the view that the vaccine is as bad as being raped or stabbed. It seems to me to be an extremely fringe position. Like those who think vaccines cause autism. Or that aliens kidnap people to probe their genitals.

On a sliding scale, those would rank very high. But there are other measures as well.

I don’t think so…. It’s more an issue with defining terms. And most Canadians, by your own admission, don’t agree with how you define the term ‘liberty’ or ‘extremism’. Most Canadians think we have liberty. In fact, there are independent groups that measure these things and Canada scores extremely high. Your contention seems to be “Canadians are too stupid to know what liberty is because they don’t agree with me”.

Looking at the exact same evidence, most would disagree with your assertion, wouldn’t they?

Claiming we don’t have liberty does not make it true. And it didn’t answer my question in any way.

And people compared being “forced” to get a vaccine like it was forced rape of forced mugging. Do you think those are good comparisons?

So you are defining “extremist” as anyone who doesn’t agree with your stance on liberty, even if it is the vast majority of people. Do you think that is the common definition used by most Canadians when talking about extremist views?

So if a job needs a a driving licence, and you are forced to get one, that’s “force” and it is as bad as threatening to kill a woman unless she allows you to rape her? Hmmm…. I think there are different levels of force, some involving bodily harm, which are much worse. No one will harm the person who doesn’t get a vaccine.

Right. Bodily harm could come to you if you don’t comply. That is a different type of force. “You will not have this job unless you get a Class IV driving licence”. That is the same kind of force.

Right. So it’s being forced like my examples. That’s not so bad then. It’s not like the force being applied is actually physical force.

OK. That’s an answer to a question I didn’t ask. They certainly weren’t forced, unless you use that term in the absolute loosest of possible ways. Like we’re forced to wear seatbelts. We’re forced to leave our guns at home. We’re forced to not beat our children.
